You left the supermarket, walking quickly, shopping bag in hand. The supermarket was a quarter of an hour from your house on foot, and a little less if you went through the park, so you decided to take this little shortcut. Once arrived there, you realised there were a few kids playing in the park and thought maybe you shouldn't have taken this path. 'It's okay, I just have to cross the park quickly.'

But as you thought that, a child who was running away from other kids bumped into you and fell while you almost dropped your shopping bag.

"Damn it ! Oops, are you okay ?" you asked.

"Ouch... yeah I'm fine sorry !"

"It's oka-"

"Takeru come here !" a familiar voice shouted.

'Oh please, not this voice !' You helped the kid get up and were about to leave but the guy who just shouted was coming closer. 'Why does it have to be me...'

"Thank God you're okay ! Oh hi Y/n, looks like we meet again !" he smirked.

"Hey !" you replied with a forced smile. You go on "I can't really stay, I have to go back home, bye !"

"Tooru, who is she ? Do you know her ?" Takeru asked.

"Be more polite ! Y/n, excuse him, he's my nephew."

"Oh it's fine ! Nice to meet you."

"Sorry ! you were saying you had to go, I won't delay you any longer, and I also have to take Takeru back home."

"Okay, bye !"

"Bye !"

But as you said that, you started walking in the same direction towards the park's exit, which was a bit awkward. 'Don't look at him... it's fine, we'll separate at the exit'. But even after leaving the park, Oikawa and his nephew were still walking next to you.

"Umm... Does your nephew live near here ?"

"Yes he does, well, in this neighborhood, so I'm often here too when I don't have any plans."

"Oh okay..."

You tried to strike up a conversation, but you weren't really good at it, so it was awkward again. 'Gosh... isn't he supposed to be talkative ? Fortunately I will be arriving home soon.' After a few minutes of walking in silence, you were finally in front of your house, and Oikawa still behind you.

"Okay so... have a nice weekend !"

"You too !" he replied.

You were about to head back home when the door opened and you saw your mom on the landing.

"Oh Y/n you're back ! I heard you talking to someone so I came to check. You're with a friend as I see. Hi !... Oh give me the shopping bag and get out a bit."

"But-"

"I don't wanna hear you protest ! You're never going out of your room so it's a good occasion for you to get some fresh air outside and hang out with people !"

After that she took the bag, went back inside and shut the door.

"Great."

You turned around and saw Oikawa giggling. "Guess we're stuck together ?" he said.

Yous sighed. "Shut up..."

You joined him silently and you took the path to bring Takeru home. He wasn't living far from you after all, only a few minutes away. Of course, there was an awkward silence all the way, because why talk when you can be quiet. After arriving to Takeru's home, you waited for Oikawa to bring him inside and come back. 'What am I even doing...'

"I'm back ! Where do you wanna go ?"

"Wherever you want... but wait, don't you have things to do ? I mean... this wasn't planned at all so..."

"It's fine, I didn't have anything else planned for today. I know a coffee shop not far from here, I suggest we go there."

"Fine to me."

You started walking and talking about unimportant things like high school or other stuff like that. And then you realised how weird the situation was. You met this guy a few weeks ago during a practice match you wouldn't even have attended if it wasn't for Tendou, and now you were hanging out with him as if you were friends. Wow.

Once arrived, you sat on a table and ordered milkshakes. You kept avoiding eye contact with him today, but as you started drinking your milkshake you looked up to check quickly and found him staring at you, his fingers crossed under his chin, his eyebrows a little furrowed. You nearly choked on your drink.

"What ? Is there something on my face ?"

Silence.

"Y/n, can I ask you a question ?"
