After going back to the guys, Semi decided not to talk about what happened earlier, and you mentally thanked him for that. You still weren't ready for Tendou to know about your friendship with Oikawa, so it was better if he didn't learn about it yet.

When you and the guys left the movie theater, you split away, each one of you going back home. Yet Tendou decided to take you home, so you chatted a bit on the way, and he left too.

Right after heading in, you ran to your room and took your phone to call Oikawa. He answered after a few rings.

"Hey. How are you ?" you asked.

"Fine. Do you have time later today ?"

"Yeah I think ? Why ?"

"Meet me at the park at 7pm."

"Okay... see you later then."

"Bye." And he hung up.

Why did he sound so cold on the phone ? Is there a problem ? Is he mad at me for something ? What did I do that could have made him mad ?...

You slapped yourself. 'I'm overtinking again. I need to stop stressing out over details, I'll see him in a few hours...'

In a bit less than two hours to be exact. You decided to watch anime and listen to music until it was time to go.

6:38pm. You got up and started lacing your shoes to get out. Your mom was more and more surprised to see you going out so often and hanging out with people, but in a good way.

You put your headphones on, and closed the door behind you. On the way to the park, you started thinking about all the things he could be mad about, but didn't find anything logical.

When you arrived, you were five minutes early, but he was, as usual already there waiting for you. You approached him slowly and smiled a bit, but he wasn't acknowledging your presence. In fact, he was looking a bit worried.

"Hi..." you tried.

He came back to his senses and lifted his eyes to look at you. "Oh hey."

"Do you have something... important to tell me ?"

He seemed to think again, and replied. "I don't believe it's something really important but..." he stopped.

You waited a few seconds. "But ?"

He lifted his eyes, this time looking more strict. "Who was this guy earlier ?"

You frowned and remained silent for a moment. "You mean... Semi ?"

"Maybe, why was he touching you like that ? Are you two close ?"

You didn't understand. Why was he acting so weird today ? "Listen, Semi is a friend of mine, and we're not that close. He doesn't know you, that's probably why he was acting protective."

He sighed. "Okay... sorry. I'll be going then."

"Bye." You watched him as he left, but more and more questions were creeping inside your head.

He doesn't act like that usually. Does he even trust me ? But I have the right to have friends, and even a boyfriend if I want to, and he doesn't have his say in it. So why was he acting like he owns me ?

You sighed. 'Maybe he just had a rough day. I'm tired too, I should go to sleep earlier today.'

The next two weeks were pretty exhausting. You kept on meeting Oikawa every evening, but you had less time to talk, and he looked a little distant. You convinced yourself it was just your imagination, but it worried you a bit.

You had not much time to think about it anyway. The teachers were giving you tons of homework, and since Shiratorizawa qualified for the Interhigh, your manager post took you all your time too. The volleyball team was training more often and longer than before for the tournament that was happening in two days.

"Good job boys ! Tomorrow is a rest day before the tournament, so eat and sleep well !" shouted the coach at the end of the training.

You handed water bottles and towels to the players and headed toward Tendou, but as you were walking, a hand grabbed your arm to stop you.

"Hey Y/n !"

You turned around and saw Semi, who looked a bit embarrassed. You tilted your head. "May I help you ? Did I forgot to give you a towel ?"

He started scratching the back of his head, avoiding your gaze. "Oh no it's not about that. Um... I don't know if you heard about it, but a girl from my class is organising a party at her house next week, and I was wondering if you wanted to come... maybe..."

You frowned a bit. "Well, I don't think I've been invited..."

He lifted his head. "Oh no it's fine she told me I could bring anyone with me !"

You smiled. "I'll think about it."

He blushed. "Thanks- I mean, bye- uh yeah."

You chuckled at his fluster. "See you tomorrow !"

After everyone left, you closed the gym and left with Tendou. You walked for a few minutes in silence, which was unusual, and then you realised he was smiling. 'He clearly has something in mind...'

"Why are you smiling ?" you asked.

He looked at you. "Tell me Y/n, what were you talking about with Semi earlier ?"

Oh so that's what made him smile.

"He invited me to a party a girl from his class organised."

His eyes widened. "Really ?! He didn't even invite me ! You lucky b*tch !"

You giggled. "I don't even know if I'm going to attend it. You can go instead you know."

"No no no ! You better attend this party ! You have no social life sis... and in my opinion, Semi might be interested in you~"

You stopped walking and scoffed. "Excuse me whaaat ? Uhm- no."

"No what ? I'm telling you he is."

You sighed and realised you had passed the park. "I don't believe you. Anyway, we're not far from my home, I can go alone from here."

He laughed and turned around to leave. "I don't care if you don't believe me ! You'll see..."

"Shut up !" you yelled.

"Love you too <3"

You smiled and scrunched your nose. "This moron..." You waited for a few minutes and started going towards the park for your daily meeting with Oikawa.
