Max's Pov.

I can't believe that Tim is some sort of hybrid, supernatural, creature, thing. I mean... It's not the weirdest thing to happen.

At least I'll be able to understand certain things better and help him out. That's all that really matters to me.

As I was lost in thought I felt a tug on my hoodie's sleeve. My eyes trailed down my arm to the disturbance and follow that arm to see a worried smol bean. I shook my head lightly to get rid of the thought.

"Yes Ross?" I asked the worried squirrel.

"Are you okay? You have just been standing there for the past five minutes. We have been trying to snap you out of it so we could leave." He explained while lightly pulling me to the door.

"Oh, I'm sorry.... I was lost in thought..." I explained ashamedly, looking away slightly in shame.

"It's okay! We have to go though. Tim went ahead and pulled out of the driveway." He practically chirped. Grabbing my wrist firmly and pulled me out of the house.

I looked at the adorable hybrid and let him lead me to the car. Once at the back door, I pulled it open and let Ross climb in before I slid in myself and pulled the door beside me shut.

Once closed, Tim started the drive to the recording studio.

"So... This drive is going to be about thirty minutes until we start finding short cuts." Tim said, breaking the ice between the three of us.

"Okay... What should we do? Listen to music? Get to know each other better? Sit in awkward silence for what will seem like forever while staring at each other? What?" Asked the furry passenger. Making me laugh while Tim let out a low chuckle at the last question.

"Why not just talk about whatever comes to mind?" I offered, wanting to know more about Ross and Tim's hybrid side and power respectfully.

"Author~chan wished for me to tell you it's an ability. She wanted to clear that up earlier but you where zoned out and one of us needed to start the car in hopes of not being late." Tim replied. Making me a bit weary of this 'Author~chan'.

"She also wanted to say to not be afraid of her. She only does what she needs to to nudge us in the correct direction. Otherwise bad stuff would happen." He responded once more.

"Okay then... Well... I wanted to ask you two about your abilities if that's okay. I'm just really curious...." I murmured shyly.

"That's fine by me Max! What about you Tim?" Chimed Ross, looking to the driver.

"I don't mind. I am personally curious on what I can do." Tim agreed.

"Great! Now Max, what do you want to start with?" Ross questioned.

"Well, are you able to turn fully into a squirrel? Or are you only able to stay in that form?" I inquired.

"Yes, I can turn into a squirrel, just like I can turn completely human. However, being completely human is only for a short period of time before I turn back. I'm not sure how long I can be human for but I know that I can be a squirrel for as long as I want." Ross answered. His pointer fingers knuckle on his lips in thought.

"That is really cool Ross!" Tim exclaimed. I can practically see giant glitter symbols in his irises from the rearview mirror.

"I mean... I guess, but it's nothing compared to you. Based on what I read you can do almost anything you want if the person on the other side of the veil likes you. You could create matter from thin air and turn into anything on whim. Not only are you rare, but you are extremely powerful if the person likes you. But only then. Your kind is sort of seen as a threat. But if they don't like you then you aren't. It's a little weird." Ross tried to explain. He ended up rambling a bit though but it's okay. Things like this happen.

"Wait, are you serious?!" Tim exclaimed in disbelief.

"Yeah, it just depends on how much the author will let you do." Ross confirmed.

Tim's Pov.

Wait, is Ross serious Luna?

(Yes, he is correct.)

Then... Can we please teleport to the studio? We are going to be late....

(Sure! But you are going to have to slow down. Please drive at Five miles per hour. You will be driving straight into a free parking space.)

As Luna was explaining I checked the rearview mirror to make sure no one was behind me. Once I saw that the cost was clear, I slowed down to the recommended speed and a giant portal appeared.

"What the hell is that?!" Exclaimed Max, who previously questioned why I slowed down.

"That, Max, is what I asked the author for. We where going to be late if we didn't find some sort of short cut." I explained.

"You asked for that?" He asked.

"I asked to be teleported to the studio. I guess this was the best option she could think of as we where driving." I answered and drove through the portal and into a parking space, just as Luna said.

"We aren't driving here anymore... Are we." Ross, which sounded more like a statement, asked.

(Only if you find short cuts.)

I relayed the message.

We climbed out of the car to be greeted by the set of a few days ago.

"Seems like I may have to pay for another person." A voice joked behind them.

I turn around, assuming the others did too, and saw that it was Sky who said that.

"Why do you say that Adam?" Asked Max, a teasing smile on his face as he said the producers real name.

Sky grumbled jokingly before clearing his throat. "Well, Tim here is a Veil Walker. So, if you wouldn't mind of course, it may be easier, and cheaper, to get things. Only if you're okay with that." Sky rushed.

I was a little startled by this. Would this be okay? Woul-

(Just say yes already you embarrassed gay!)

I blinked and turned over to see Luna, who only I could see. "I'm sorry, what did you just say? I don't think I heard you..." I growled.

"Wait, you can see her?!" Ross exclaimed, curiosity shining in his eyes.

"Yeah. And I want to tackle her for something she said." I continued to growl out.

"What did she say?" Sky inquired.

I turned to him with a blush heating my cheeks. "Nothing!" I squeaked, I cleared my throat and continued. "Anyway, yeah, it's okay with me and Author~chan. She actually told me to say yes."

Sky then smiled at me before grabbing my wrist "Come on! We need to start setting up." He said joyfully.

I felt heat rush to my cheeks again, this will be fun. I thought as I look at the joyful man.

So... I don't know who Tim is usually shipped with. If someone could tell me that would be great. This isn't a spoiler or anything, I just need to know. Also! I apologize for the late update... And not reposting chapter two yet...
