Tris POV

I don't know what I did wrong. I was being honest.

"Way to pull a

Candor Tris!"

I thought silently.

"Do you know us?"

the girl asked,

pointing to herself and the boy next to her. I sighed and replyed,

"Sorry no."

She nodded.

"I understand," she said with empathy.

"Who knows who did what to you in your absence. Do you

remember anything at all?"

"Besides the fact that my name is Tris

and I was apparently dead, no. But a man who brought me here

said something about being brainwashed."

She leaped with joy.

"That's why you can't remember anything! Are you sure that's all?"

"Oh! The lady who brainwashed me! Her name was Amanda

Matthews."

"Ok! Progress!"

she replied while clapping her hands.

"So that guy.... He's cute!"

"Well sweetheart, he is all yours. You two

used to be an item before you, 'died'. Maybe you can renew your

love for each other!"

I liked the idea.

"Ok," I agreed. "One question

though. Who are you?" I asked with wonder.

"I'm Christina. Your

best friend!"

"Well thanks Christina!"

I gave her a quick side hug

and walked to The Pit. When I walked in, I saw Tobias standing on

the edge of The Pit's wall, leaning in attempting to fall.

"Tobias no!" I yelled. I grabbed his hand,

then everything disappeared.
