Tris POV

I pop my eyes open and am welcomed by the sound of rotating

propellers. I sit up and see a man, his face covered by a heavy duty

helmet.

"Good. You're up,"

he said. I jumped, startled from the

sudden break of the silence.

"Haha," he laughed as I reacted. "I'm

Jack, and you are?"

I didn't know what to say.

"Uh..... um....." Is

that too complicated for you?"

he asked with a chuckle.

"No..... It's

just... I seriously don't know.."

He looked away sympathetically.

"Oh.

Well its nice to meet you anyways. Wait, they said they were

sending me someone who was recently brainwashed. You match

the description. Tris Prior?"

When he said that, something inside me

lit up like a light bulb.

"Yes!"

I said ecstatically. Jack laughed once

more.

"Congrats! You know your name!"

I rolled my eyes and

laughed with him.

"We're here!"

the helicopter pilot yelled.

"Where

is 'here'?"

I asked curiously.

"Dauntless."

he replyed. We hovered

over the ground as dust and debris circled under us. I hopped off

the helicopter and onto the surface. Jack pulled off his helmet and

kissed my cheek.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Tris."

he said

romantically. He was then lifted off into the air. I was walked into a

large building. It seemed quite familiar. I got to the top floor and

sat an a large bed. I turned around for a moment and saw someone.

"Tris?"
