I still miss you

The beginning of this chapter you will be confused....

Oh right, almost forgot... it's kind off angst sooo...

---mystery awaits---

Kiku Kotone was very confused. Earphone Jack, the hero she was interning for was acting weird. Almost, depressed?

E.J. had been fine the rest of the time she had been interning at Earphone Jack agency. But today?

E.J. had disappeared after lunch, leaving Kotone alone.

Kotone decided to go look for Earphone Jack, maybe it would be easy with her hearing?

Wrong!

She was still training her hearing, to tune out traffic sounds and find Ms. Kyoka's voice. It was hard but she managed, using her quirk took all of her attention.

Kotone sat down on a park bench, needing a break from her quirk. She felt a headache coming in.

"-And you are whistling a melody, whistling a melody
Crystallizing clear as day
Oh I can picture you so easily, picture you so easily~"

Kotone heard the beautiful voice coming from the forest. She also picked up on the sound of a guitar being played.

"What's gonna be left of the world if you're not in it?
What's gonna be left of the world, oh"

The voice was strangely familiar, like she had heard it before. Therefore, she needed to know who was singing.

"Every minute and every hour
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you more
Every stumble and each misfire
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you more~"

Kotone got up from the bench and begun to follow the voice into the forest.

"Watching through my fingers, watching through my fingers
Caught off guard by your favorite song"

She finally came to a little clearing.

"Oh I'll be dancing at a funeral, dancing at a funeral"

There was a grave stone and a figure sitting on the grass floor. Playing the guitar and singing softly. There was two cups of tea by the grave, one full and one partly drunken up.

"Sleeping in the clothes you love
It's such a shame we had to see them burn, shame we had to see them burn"

It was her mentor, Kyoka Jirou AKA Earphone Jack.

Kotone realized that this must have been some kind of anniversary for the dead person. Maybe a death anniversary? That would explain her mentors sad mood.

Hmm wonder who she was singing for. Kotone couldn't see what was engraved on the stone.

The song faded to it's end and Kyoka Jirou was crying quietly.

This was definitely a personal moment, she should leave. She should leave and forget about seeing her mentor, the most bad ass person in the world cry.

"Kotone, you can come out.. I know you are there" Jirou said when Kotone was about to go back.

Kotone froze up. How had her mentor heard her?

...oh right, super hearing.

"I'm sorry Ms. Earphone Jack Ma'am! I didn't mean to interrupt but.. you just disappeared and I got worried!" Kotone rambled turning back to her mentor.

"It's fine really... come here"

Kotone walked quietly to her mentor and sat down.

"This" Jirou gestured to the tombstone, "is- was my wife, she died a hero"

Jirou smiled softly.

"Mo, I wan't you to meet my intern.. Kiku Kotone" Jirou said to the tombstone.

Kotone bowed her head.

"I-it's nice to meet you.." Kotone looked at the name engraved on the stone, "Ms. Yaoyorozu"

Wait, this was the hero Creati. Who had died under a mission in her early years.

She never knew that E.J. was married to Creati.. In fact, not even the media knew.

"No need to be formal, call her YaoMomo.. like all her friends do- did" Jirou took up her tea cup and sipped it quietly.

They spent the evening at YaoMomo's grave. Jirou telling stories about Momo from when they went to school.

---end---

...well, didn't mean to make me cry

Hope u liked it, stay tuned for another chapter!
