(Idk how the first chapter even managed to get 13 reads in such a short amount of time...I seriously only ever expected like 3 people to see this story but might as well continue, now the story starts)

'What the fuck is this?...'

When I woke up, I didnt expect to ACTUALLY wake up in a BEDROOM. For a moment I honestly thought I was about to see god, but it was just someone's bedroom. I recognized the smell of roses.

'Fuuuck its early too'

It indeed was early in the morning,two large windows on either side of the room had the curtains tied neatly to the sides, allowing a light blue light to seep in and light the room, the sun looking like it would crack the horizon soon, and light frost on the grass outside, led me to assume it was the tail end of winter, closing in on spring.

I realized I still hadn't found out where I actually was, so I took a moment to look around the room. The room itself wasnt super impressive, it was actually pretty simple, not in a bad or bland way though, it had it's own flare. The room was rectangular in shape, with the door being on one of the far ends. On both sides of the door there were desks that seemed to double as bookshelves that extended upwards, the desk on the left was pretty barren save for a few books haphazardly placed here and there, as if it hadn't been used in a while. The desk on the right though was much more lively, it had some miscellaneous papers strewn across it as well as a small red desk lamp set on top. The bookshelf half of the desk was filled up half with books, and half with small miniature figures of the creatures I saw in my vision, taking a closer look at them there were several types there suck as ones that resembled werewolves and large bears, as well as giant birds and scorpions, it also had small white decorative lights strung over it, it certainly had had some effort put into it to make it feel like it belonged.

In the middle of the room there was a white rectangular placed placed over the wood floor that took up most of the center of the floor.the rooms left wall had three pictures going in a straight line across the wall until it reached the window that was set at the end of the room looking outside. The right wall was mostly the same except for the window was slightly offset from the other one, being set more towards the center of the room, leaving plenty of space for the three picture frames that went in a downwards diagonal line towards the back wall of the room following the ceiling which also angled downward slightly towards that end of the room. On picture was of a bay with a lighthouse in the middle of it, birds flying out over the bay from the camera view, the next appeared to be of some sort of forest, while I couldnt see what the last picture was of. On the opposite side of the room, mirroring the door was a nightstand with a lamp set on it against the wall and in between two queen size beds. Bother beds were set with a dark oak looking bed frame with a headboard and had white sheets with cream colored comforters, the bed on the left was neatly made with three square yellow pillows laying up against the headboard, with two on the headboard itself right next to eachother, with the third set in front of those in the center of the two. The bed itself seemed like it hadn't been used in a while, like the owner had either left or changed rooms. The bed on the right side of the room was the same as the other but messy with three, rose red pillows instead and the bed was currently messily strewn about due to the young girl sleeping in it, who seemed to have shifted around in her sleep as she was hanging half off the side of the bed on her chest, facing towards the opposite side of the room drooling slightly as she snored loudly.

'How did I not notice her sooner?'

The girl seemed strangely familiar to me as well, which was strange as I was sure I had never seen her before in my entire life. She was strewn on her bed in basic sleepwear which consisted of a sleeveless black shirt that went down to her waist, and white pajama pants that had small pink roses all over them. She also wore a black eye mask with hearts on it that wasnt even on her eyes, nor did it appear to have been at any point as it was strewn diagonally across her face from her forehead to her left cheek.

'Ok this is weird...I think imma just float on out of here before this goes terribly wro-'

"Wait fucking backtrack a second"

I said this low and quiet as to not wake the girl as I noticed the MAJOR change that I somehow didnt notice first.

"I'm fucking floating..."

I noticed I was indeed floating a good 6vinches off the ground, simply standing on air as if it was the floor. It was at this point I realised my rather...transparent...appearance. Quite literally transparent, as I was able to slightly see through my hand. I also noticed that not only was I transparent but I was dark, not in skin color but over all dark...like a shadow. I was also somehow in my normal getup, consisting of a f/c pullover hoodie, black Jean's, a f/c t shirt and black new balance shoes. I also didnt have my glasses on anymore, but I didnt have any trouble seeing. My sight was perfect.

Y/N: "What the ffffuuuuUUUUUUU-"

I had completely forgotten where I was and apparently raised my volume enough to wake the girl with a snort followed quickly by an exclamation.

???: "zzzzZzzZ-*snort*-COOKIES!!" she shouted as she fell of the bed and landed on her back on the ground.

???: "uuuughhhh..." she groaned as she slowly sat up, her eyemask falling off of her head and onto the floor as she slowly opened her eyes with a smack of her lips.

...

...

And then looking directly at me.

Y/N: "..."

???: "..."

She stared blankly for a second and then, after deciding she must still be half asleep, rubbed her eyes before looking directly at me again.

???: "..."

Y/N: "Uuuuhm...hi.....?"

...

???: "Aaaaah!!"

She yelled in surprise, which given the situation should've been expected, yet it still startled me somehow.

Y/N: "AAAH!!" I managed to let out as I somehow fell from my spot in the air, ass-first onto the wooden floor. I groaned in slight annoyance as i hoisted myself upright to look at the girl again.....who seemed to have some sort of red mechanical looking gun in her hands now that she hastily pulled out from under her bed.

And it was pretty fuckin intimidating!

Y/N: " Whoah whoah whoah let's calm down for a seco-!" Too late she had panicked and pulled the trigger. A deafening BANG sounded throughout the small room and I flinched my eyes closed at the sound...but I didnt feel anything. I slowly opened one eye to see the girl still in her same spot on the floor looking dumbfounded with her jaw hanging wide open looking like it might hit the floor.

I opened my other eye and patted myself down, not feeling any holes, then I looked behind me to see a decent sized hole ripped through the door...and the wall behind it...and the one behind that, WHAT FUCKING CALIBER IS THAT RIFLE!?!?

Y/N: "huh...sweet..."

I barely had enough time to process what happened as two sets of pounding footsteps came storming down the hall and the door nearly blew off its hinges.

???2: "WHAT IS IT WHAT HAPPENED!?!?!?" A red eyed girl with golden blond locks of hair, who seemed to be about 4 inches shorter than me bursted into the room in an orange crop-top with some sort of emblem on it as well as short black shorts. She was barefooted and clearly just fell out of bed as her hair was frizzled and sticking out in places. On her hands she wore two gauntlets that seemed to double as some sort of shotgun judging by the shells that wrapped around them. Judging by her expression she was ready to wage war.

???3: "IS EVERYTHING OKAY!?!?!" Yelled a much taller man with short frazzled blonde hair and piercing blue eyes who was following close behind, a worried expression on his stubbled face. He was dressed in what I assumed was his normal clothes...did he really sleep in that or was he up already?

Me and the girl just kept lookingbetween them and eachother.

"Do they really not see me?"

I had stood up now and If they heard me at all they made no attempt to show it as they quickly made their way into the room.

It shook me to my core when they both walked straight through me and kneeled down to check on the girl, who looked just as bewildered as I did. But they took no notice and immediately started talking to the girl.

???2: "RUBY!!! ARE YOU OK??? WHAT HAPPENED??" The blond girl yelled while shaking the shorter girl,who I guess is named Ruby, by her shoulders not giving her a chance to respond.

???3: "YANG! Stop shaking her and let her speak!" The older man said as the blonde girl, who I guess is Yang, noticed what she was doing and stopped, allowing Ruby to get her bearings

Yang: "Oh! Uhhhh..sorry." She apologized.

Ruby: "Its...fine..." the girl responded clearly still dizzy until she comically shook her head and regained her focus.

???: "What happened? Why did you blow a hole in the door?" The man asked, clearly concerned. Ruby just sat there slack jawed pointing and looking between the man and myself after his statement.

Noticing this he did a double take of the doorway, landing his eyes directly on me. I thought he had seen me and I nervously waved, but he only seemed to get a more concerned and confused look on his face as he turned back to Ruby.

???: "What's the matter? Was something here?"

Ruby's jaw dropped even further as she did one last double take, as did I, both of us clearly wondering how they didnt see me. After regaining her composure she deduced that they really couldnt see me, and started trying to play off the situation as to not seem totally crazy, probably while wondering whether she was or not.

Ruby: "I...uh..no...no nothings there sorry. I'm fine! I just uh...had a nightmare! Yeah..." she fumbled over the words but ultimately got it out.

The other two seemed to relax at this statement slightly before calming down and standing back up.

???: "Well so long as your okay...just...try not to blow any more holes in the wall okay?" The man sighed as he placed his hands on his hips In a very father-like manner.

Ruby: "Yeah...sorry about that...hehe..." Yang seemed to take notice how how spaced out she was staring at me and said something.

Yang: "Are you sure your okay sis? You seem a little out of it..." Yang said, I noticed her eyes had shifted from red to a lilac color. Concern plastered on her face. Ruby barely gives yang a glance as she replies.

Ruby: "Yeah yang I'm fine...just still half asleep is all. I'm gonna get a little more rest I'll be downstairs in a bit..."

After hearing this yang seemed to immediately get over it...

Yang: "Ok!"

...while the man seemed to be reluctant still but followed yang anyway.

???: "Ok then, you sure your okay kiddo?" He asked one last time before walking towards the door.

Ruby: "*sigh* Yes DAAAAAAAAD" She exaggerated.

Her father merely chuckled as he finally continued to the door. I completely forgot where I was standing as they left, which I didnt notice until they walked right through me...again... and closed the door behind them

Y/N: "*shivers* ugh...I dont think I'll ever get used to that." After that Ruby just gave you a deadpan expression and sighed in exasperation.

Ruby: "*sigh* so...I think we both have questions..."

Y/N: "Yeeeaaahhh...can I start with I'm sorry...?"

Ruby: "Its appreciated, just give me a moment... ok!" And just like that she was on her feet, and filled with a cheeriness that radiated off her like a light.

Y/N: "Ok sudden burst of energy...how bout we start over. *ahem!* my name is...let's go with Y/N! Y/N L/N and full disclaimer...I have no idea where I am! So oo...yeah!" Ruby seemed a bit taken aback at first before she composed herself and responded.

Ruby: "That's fair enough I guess. Well my name is Ruby Rose! This is my home on the island of Patch just off the coast of Vale! And you are currently in my bedroom! The two people who you just had the pleasure of...being walked through by, are my sister Yang Xiao Long and my dad Taiyang Xiao Long! And backtracking a little bit *INHALE* WHY ARE YOU IN MY ROOM?!?!" I legit flinched at the volume she suddenly had after barely understanding the garbled mouth salad of a sentence she just threw my way. But seeing as we were actually meeting now, I took a second to get a better look at her.

She was of course still dressed in the aforementioned pajamas, the difference being I could now see her more clearly. She looked to be between 14 and 15 and was easily a little over half a foot shorter than me, so around 5'5" and had pale white skin. She was slightly frail looking almost but considering how she handle that monster of a rifle earlier i wasnt gonna underestimate her. She had short choppy black hair that ended in red tips around her head, with a large bang on the right side of her head and dazzling silver eyes. Honestly her eyes were beautiful, i felt like i was looking at the stars.

Before I could get caught staring, and brushing aside the strangely strong sense of deja vu, I quickly composed myself and tried to awnser her question.

Y/N: "Well as ridiculous as it sounds, I have no idea how I got here. I died, and...*sigh* do you have time for a story? I'll do my best to keep it short."

She looked skeptical at first but eventually she just sighed, sat down on her bed facing the other one, and finally set down that big ass gun. She motioned to the other bed across from her.

Ruby: "You might as well have a seat."

Y/N: "uh...thanks." I sat across from her and gave her a summary of how I ended up here, I died, I left out the details of how and why though, and I told her about the hallway, falling into the pit, landing and seeing a bright figure... "I had never seen someone else in the hall before so it caught me off guard, actually they looked a lot like you, and eventually they turned around and started walking down the path, seeing no reason not too I followed them, woke up by the door there, and the rest is history...I dont know why your dad and sister couldnt see me though."

Ruby had a look on her face that showed she was in deep thought, I assume she doesnt don this face often because it looked a little strained, I'll admit that at the time, I thought it was kind of cute..

Ruby: " I'm gonna try something real quick okay? Do me a favor and stand up."

Y/N: "Fair enough..."

I let myself float up onto my feet, which I dont even know how I did, it just happened naturally as if I was doing it my whole life. She soon then stood up as well and walked up to me. She looked me dead in the eyes and seemed to focus, like she was trying to see if I was lying to her or not. I honestly cant blame her, i wouldn't believe me either. After i guess finding what she was looking for she looked down at my chest, raised a finger and poked me. I expected her hand to go right through me like her father and sister had, but she made contact. It made me jump a bit and when I looked at her she seemed just as surprised as I was.

Ruby: "Huh...well I guess it was you then."

Y/N: "Uuuuuh what?"

Ruby: "Right before I woke up. I saw pretty much the exact same thing you did. But from my perspective, you just kinda, showed up. I couldnt see any of your face but I wasnt gonna turn down the company. It can get a little lonely in there sometimes so I decided I'd let you choose to follow me or not. I guess you did because well...here you are. I think we're connected somehow now."

Y/N: "Wait wait wait, how often do you visit that place? The hall I mean."

Ruby: "Almost every night. Its where I end up unless I'm lucky enough to dream, or unlucky enough to have a nightmare...its been a minute since anything other than myself was there, been that way ever since...that's not important right now. Let's do this instead, where were you on remnant before you died?"

Y/N: "uhhh... what's remnant?"

Ruby: "oh man...this is gonna be a long day..."
