Chapter 1
---------------
When she came to this world, she was cold. It appears that not only was it snowing, it's also night. While, she couldn't see a single thing in sight, she came to the conclusion that she was in Tibet, but there was no temple to reside in.
"O-o-oh no! W-w-what do I do?"
"M-M-Marin-n-nette! Q-Quickly, use Kaalki!"
"Right! K-Kaalki, F-full Gallop!"
As soon as she was transformed, they opened a portal to somewhere warm first and foremost.
-----------
A quick look around showed that she was in a temple. It reminded her of a Buddhist Temple she visited once while with family in China. Luckily she wasn't in the open, but rather she was on a hidden side where only monks can go.
"Namo Buddhaya, Chún yī."
She turns around quickly and finds a Monk bowing respectfully to her.
"Namo Buddhaya...?"
"Lái ba, chún yīgè, wǒ huì zhǐdǎo.", The monk then starts to walk away.
She stands there for a second to register the words, before chasing after him. She wasn't transformed, so she thought that perhaps he thought she was lost?
Whatever the case, Monks that they walk past would bow in respect. She was getting increasingly worried as she was not all that great with (I don't know if it's Cantonese or Mandarin, google only says it's Chinese).
They entered what looks to be a Cloister. There, they kneel in one of the many rooms. A shrine to Saraswati. Marinette continued to follow the monks lead and bow to Saraswati's shrine.
The monk then says, "Chún yī, qǐng chénsī.", and leaves.
"Meditation?", Marinette wonders.
She takes a gander at Tikki, who nods with a smile. Marinette takes form and begins her Fast as she meditates.

Days later:
After her cleansing, she is then directed to an area for her to bathe. It seems the monks enlisted the help of a Buddhist Nun. She smiled and bowed to Marinette.
Marinette was then fitted with a Kasaya made of silk. She was lead to the head Monk, who finished her cleasening with his Khakkhara and a prayer.
He presented to her a few items, all engraved with the eight symbols. They were packed in a box next to a bag for her to take.
"Chún yī, qǐng qǐméng."
"Xièxiè dà héshàng gěi wǒ de zhùsù", She did her best with the pronunciation as she bow.

Bye For now!
