As my brother drives in the gate all I can think is how.How did I end up here.

Or why.I know how but I really don't know why,but this is what happened.

                   Flashback

"Niall Honey come here please" I hear my mom call in a tone I can only describe as curious.I know my mom like the back of my hand so I know what her curious voice sounds like.

"Yes Mother"I say in a wierd posh voice that makes her laugh."Niall what is this?"She askes handing me a blood red envelope that's sealed with a circular stamp embroidered with a P.W look at her & tell her the truth."I don't know"I say while opening it & this is what it reads.

Congratulations,Niall James Horan.You have been excepted to Patterson Western Preparatory School for the gifted.You have been excepted for your impeccable grade averages. We would like you to begin once the summer is over & study here for your tenth year up until you graduate.I presume that you know this is a boarding school since it says it on the application.Our school is co-ed. Here at Western Prep we only want the best for our students so we don't have roommates.Each pupil gets his/her own room.In that room there will be a queen size bed,a nightstand along with a lamp, a closet for clothes, a tv,a fully stocked miniature refrigerator, & a desk.However,you can decorate it anyway you want. We trust this will be to your satisfactory.We have many student extracurricular activities.We have a wide variety of student 'hangouts' on campus. We also have a student living room at the bottom of each dormitory.There are many restaurants & shops on the grounds also.If you have anymore questions call 867-5309.Also student come two days early to move into their rooms & get acquainted with the campus.

I read aloud to my mother."Honey when did you apply here"She asked tears glazing her orbs."A few months back but I didn't want to tell anyone till I was sure I got in"I lie quickly.If she knew I hadn't applied she'd never let me go & I was already to excited to pass this up."I'm just so happy for you. My baby boy is going to grow up & get a better education then what most people can dream of."She says silent tears escaping her eyes.

              Present

That night after everyone had gone to bed I called the number & asked if it was a mistake.The woman on the line assured me it wasn't & I told her to expect my attendance at the end of the summer.

I worked & saved up all summer for pocket-money to keep while I was here till I got a job.A week ago my brother & I got plane tickets to California.Yesterday we flew out.& as I watch him drive away all I'm thinking is I MADE IT.
