Roleplay 3
"I'm home," he shouts as he shuts the door behind him. He waits a few minutes, putting his stuff in the designated areas. "Helloooo? Anyone home?" he sings lightly.
I come out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body. "I' going to the bedroom to get changed," I informed, going inside the room and getting my favourite vanilla scented cream.
"Okay, well I'm gonna lay down here for a bit. If you need anything just shout," he yelled up the stairs whilst making his way to the couch. He sits down on the couch slowly with a prolonged grunt and turns the television on.
I shout an 'okay' down towards him and shut the door slightly. I cream my body and dress in joggers and a baggy top. Feeling satisfied with me comfy outfit I go to the lounge and sit down on the other end of the couch, placing my legs lazily on top of his. His chocolate brown eyes look at me with a slight sparkle, "do I look like a leg rest?" He asks playfully, a small smile forming on his face.
I smile innocently at him, "yes, yes you do... and a decent looking one at that," I chuckle, admiring his cheekiness. "So, did you have a good day?"
He shrugged, "yeah, I suppose."
I frown, looking into his eyes and noticing the sparkle that used to be there dissapeared. "What happened? You seem kinda glum and the sparkle's gone," I observe.
"Nothing, literally. It was the most boring and normal day ever," he admitted, pausing before continuing, "I need something new." I place my hand on top of his and try to give a smile.
Failing with my attempted smile, I frown and nod understandingly, "like what? What would you like to maybe... lets say, improve your work day?"
"Anything, baby. Anything I haven't seen before. Just something new, something that's not been done," he sighs deeply, turning his hand around and squeezing mine softly. I nod.
Pausing, I rub patterns into my thigh, thinking. After thinking and rubbing patterns into my thigh for a few minutes, I pipe up with an idea. "Ah, how about I come visit you at work sometimes. I know I'll get in, with the way I am there's no doubt. Would you like that?" I grin at him, feeling slightly proud of the idea I came up with.
He smiled back at me, "sure, that would be nice. Let's just hope Aaron won't be an ass and ask for you to leave the office."
I scoff and give a shoo-ing motion as I say, "don't worry about Aaron, babe. I'll be able to handle him. I've faced him once, I can do it again until he's learned his lesson." I paused before adding with a laugh, "Plus, he's not even that intimidating... a three-year-old could be more intimidating than him."
He chuckled, "well, I guess you have your ways. Only knowing this because I experienced it first hand."
I wink at him cheekily, "of course I have my ways." I swing my legs off his and groan quietly as I stand. "What do you fancy?" I ask randomly, walking to the kitchen.
"Nothing, not unless you want to give me something," he said, smirking.
I shake my head and chuckle lightly, "you're impossible. Okay, what did you have for lunch then?"
"I just grabbed some food from the coffee shop next to the office building," he merely said.
I nod and make the rest of the way to the kitchen to make drinks, "you want some coffee, babe?" I call.
"Sure, some energy would help loads right now," he said, sounding exhausted. I flick the switch on the kettle, get out two mugs and put coffee in one and a teabag in the other. Without realising he was leaning at the entrance of the door I spoke my thoughts aloud, I could really go for a cheese and ham toastie. "You want me to make some real quick?" he asked, startling me and making me jump.
I blush and timidly look at the floor, "uh, yes please." He walks forward, lift my head up and places a soft kiss on my lips before proceeding to make my ham and cheese toastie. I hear the kettle goes off and I finish making our drinks. I sit quietly at the dining table and think about my current appetite and the near future.
"Shit, we haven't got ham," he cursed.
I vaugely looked in his direction, "hm? Oh don't worry about the ham then, I'm good with a cheese toastie," I mutter, dazed.
"Hey, come on. You can't have a cheese and ham toastie without ham," he comments.
I smile slightly at his comment, "don't worry about it, love. I can always have one another time." He nods in defeat, makes my cheese toastie and gives it to me. "Perfectly cut. Thank you," I smile, picking it up and taking a bite. I look at it, seeing the cheese stretched and stringy, loving how stringy it is.
"I had to use cheese strings," he muttered softly, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
"I love cheese strings, ripping them apart like they're mini people," I say with an innocent voice and a smile to match. I finish my toastie and tea and put my mug in the sink.
"Well aren't you normal," he chuckles sarcastically.
I grin at him and drag him to the lounge, "completely, that's why you love me."
"Definitely," he grins cheekily. We proceed to sit on the couch and I rest my head on his shoulder. He holds me by my shoulder and kisses my forehead. A small blush creeps it's way onto my slightly-paler-than-normal face.
He secures me so I don't fall off and switches through channels. "Are there any soppy films on?" I as quietly.
"Why would you want soppy films?" He asks, confused as I'm not normally a person for a soppy film.
I shrug, "I'm feeling soppy, I guess."
"Alright, I'll see what there is," he murmured softly, looking through the channels. After a few minutes of searching, he finally finds a channel that has a soppy old romance soap on. I give a small smile and snuggle deeper into his warm body, ignoring the slightly sick feeling. "You alright? You're looking a little pale," he asks concerned.
"Yes love, I'm alright," I murmur.
"Are you sure?" he asks, not believing my words.
"I do feel slightly sick but I'm alright," I smiled softly.
"You want and paracetamol?"
I shake my head lightly, "I might pop down the shops later," I whispered, knowing what I'd be looking for.
"Okay, you want me to come with you?" he asked, curiously.
"If you want to, sure," I mumble, turning my attention back to the film for as long as possible.
We sat in a comfortable silence for about half an hour before he asked, "so, what did you do today?"
"House work and a little bit more on my story," I grinned.
"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked smiling with an eyebrow raised.
"I finally finished the first chapter," I chuckled.
"First chapter of your smutty weird book?"
I blush crimson, "yeah."
"You come up with crazy shit in those books. Like some crazy next level stuff," he smirked.
"I know, thanks," I chuckle. A few moments later I feel the need to vomit, so I get up off his lap and rush to the loo.
He followed me quietly, worried. "Whoa, are you ok?"
After vomiting I mutter, "y-yeah, I'm okay."
He rubs my back in circles and asks, "what's the matter?"
I look up at him, "you know a few nights ago?" I ask quietly. He nods timidly. "I, um... I think I might be pregnant," I admit sheepishly.
"Whoa, what?" he asks, surprised. I stay quiet and look down, not wanting to look him in the eye. "Have you done a test?"
I shook my head, "no, that why I wanted to go over to the shops."
"Okay, lets go," he smiled comfortingly, helping me up. I nodded and we went to the pharmacy to get a test. He waits patiently in the car as I get the test. I go back to the car with the test in my bag and we go home. I go into the bathroom, shut the door and take the test.
After a few minutes, I come out staring at the test. "What does it say?" he asks anxiously.
"I'm pregnant," I whisper
His face lights up, "you are?" I nod and go over to him, showing him the test. "Wow, what do you think? Shall we keep it?"
I look up with tears in my eyes, "I want it. We tried for so long and it never availed, I want this child," I say softly. The tears in my eyes started to fall and I put a hand on my stomach.
He walks forward and takes me in an embrace, whispering comforting words in my ear. I hug him back, burying my face in his shoulder. "It's a miracle baby," I smiled into the nape of his shoulder. He chuckles softly and rubs my back soothingly. I look up into his eyes, seeing the sparkle and happiness and mutter, "I can't believe it, love. We're going to be parents."
"This just happened out of nowhere," he grins, pausing for a second. "I guess something new did happen today."
"It did indeed, unexpected but wonderful news. I guess I'm not eating for one anymore," I chuckled.
He stares deeply into my eyes, "I love you, baby," he smiles sincerely.
"I love you, too, my love," I grin. I rest my head on his chest, near where his heart is and listen to it thumping. My heart beat for him, and his for me.
We weren't just a happily married couple anymore, we were happily married and expecting.
