"I met shawn at work today" I burst out.
"Avery you're kidding don't play with me like that" she says jumping of the counter top.
"Nadia I'm not fucking joking" I squeal as we both jump around the kitchen in absolute fangirl craze.
"Tell me exactly in grave detail what happened" she begs me, so I do just that.

"Avs what the fuck I knew it! I've been shipping you and Shawn for three years now! Ever since that selfie on tour in 2019 ever since he looked at your camera during ruin I've known this would happen" she goes off on one of her many tangents.
"He literally asked me to make him a coffee I don't think he was flirting"
"Have a nice day Avery" she says in a mans voice making me laugh.
I laugh with her and after that we spent the rest of the night talking about shawn and watching gossip girl.

The next morning when my alarm goes off at 9 for work I groan. I shut it off, pull myself out of bed and open the blinds of my room letting in the natural sunlight.
I take my long brown hair out of the messy but it was in and brush it out before tying it back up with a red scrunchy.
I wash my teeth and face, apply mascara, get dressed and head out for work.

On my way to work I grab a smoothie and protein bar. As I'm paying for my smoothie I hear a familiar voice behind me.
"Isn't it a little bad for business, buying your breakfast elsewhere when you work in a coffee shop?"
When I turn around it's him. Shawn. He remembered me. What is happening. Act chill Avery.
"The protein bars we have aren't as good as these, I've been shopping around" I joke earning a laugh from him.
"Are you heading to work?" He asks as I receive my change from the cashier.
"Yeah I start at 10 so I'm probably running late"
"I'm heading that way, I'll walk with you" he says opening the door of the smoothie bar for me.
"Woah I see you've got the hang of the push pull system" I smirk.
He lets out a nervous laugh, "you're funny" he says softly.
I smile at him and he clears his throat. "So tell me about yourself"
"Me?" I quiz him.
"Well who else is there"
"Sorry, um well I'm 19,I'm from galway, and I'm studying journalism and I'm not even going to lie, I've been to all your shows in Ireland" I say my cheeks burning with embarrassment. Why did I tell him that.
"Really? Wow that's amazing thank you" he says sweetly. "Would you say you're a stan?" He asks, making me laugh.
"Well yeah I'm part of the whole stan twitter thing so I guess there's no denying it" I rub my hands together nervously.

We continue to make small talk and my heart continues to pound so fast I feel like I'm going into cardiac arrest. Soon we reach the coffee house and he stops outside with me.
"What time are you finished work?" He asks.
"5" I tell him, "why?"
"You wanna do something after?"
I remember Nadia and Blake's offer but then I get my priorities straight.
"Of course" I say a little too enthusiastically.
"I mean I'm yeah" I say looking down. Shawn laughs and tells me he'll meet me outside when I done work.
"Won't I need to get changed out of my work clothes?"
"No no it's nothing fancy, besides, you look great" he winks causing me to blush for the 800th time.
"Cool, well I'll see you then" I say opening the door.
"See you Avery"

There they were again. Chills; and I think that I had chills for the rest of the afternoon.
