Alliances Between Family

Never have I thought that I'll see these people in front of me.

"Hi Len." Oliver said breaking the silence.

"Hmm? What a surprise for you to visit me! Mr. Kagamine, Mrs. Kagamine." I frowned and examined each and every one of them

Oliver grew tall, reaching my chin, his spiky milky blonde locks were still the same. Bandages were now removed, so his eye had recovered. His hues are golden like sunshine as ever.

Mr. Kagamine and Mrs. Kagamine was still the same except for the white hairs, now increasing.

"Don't talk to us like we're strangers Len." His voice remained in monotone, I've hated that voice. Full of pride and shit.

"So.. Len, how was you're studies?" The old woman sincerely asked as we approached the couch and sat.

The seating arrangement was me on the left, woman and Lenka. Oliver and the man was in front of us.

"Fine." I replied dully

"Well, what are you planning to take?"

"I don't know."

"Tsk." Old man's voice can be heard from afar.

I don't know, I really don't know what I want to take. I have no interest in anything related to school as of now. I'll just maintain my grades high and let's see what will happen.

Sending me an apologetic smile, she turned to Lenka,"Lenka, how was your tour in Japan?"

"Mmh! It was so fun! They said they'd rate me as a 5 star singer!" She happily replied and raised 5 of her fingers.

"As expected of my daughter!" The old man praised while I just sat in silence.

Lenka and Oliver looked at me with concern while the old woman started glaring at the old man.

"What?" He irritatingly asked, looking at his wife. She avoided his gaze and stared at me.

"Len, my dear.. I'm sorry for what we've done in the past. I-I know this apology wouldn't be enough... I-I didn't knew I've lost control a-and.." She softly spoke and cupped my hands, tears welling in her eye lids.

"And what? So saying that I'm an asshole, a piece of crap was just because you lost control of mocking and abusing me when I was young? So that's it?" I angrily replied and stood in front of her

"Heck, do you have any idea how that affected my life?!"

"L-Len, let me explain-"

"If Kaito and Miku wasn't with me I would have already died years ago! And do you wanna know why? It's all because of your bull*****! Favoritism huh? Lenka's still the favorite? Until now? How come you never smiled at me with pure happiness?! How come you never had been proud of me. I've been fucking studying my arse off just to maintain my grades the highest of them all 'till I was 1st grade and not a single grin?! Not a single "Congratulations" I mean seriously what kind of parents are you?!" Letting my anger blow out, he stood up and punched me straight to the face.

"How dare you answer your mother with such incoherent words?!"

Feeling my vein pop, I returned the punch as hard as I can, he fell down with a loud thump. I left them without a word and headed to the door.

As I've opened the door I saw Rin as she was about to knock.

"Merry Christma- Len?" Grabbing her hand, I walked away as quick as possible, dragging her along the streets.

I don't care where, I just want to get out of here. Far away from them. I don't want to be here.

Finally arriving at an empty park, suddenly full of snow, I wiped the bench with my hand, causing the droplets of snow to land on the ground. Letting go of Rin's hand, I've let myself fall to the bench whilst holding my head.

I couldn't help but mess with my hair with all the frustrations within me.

"Len, what happened?" She sat beside me and gently pushed my chin upwards to face her crystal orbs.

"I-I don't- I can't- I mean.. I'll tell you." Heat rising up to my face at how embarrassing my words were, I explained every single thing, pushing every memory out of my brain relating to my.. Family..

"They did?!" She stated, shocked, her hues slightly blackening.

I nodded and bit my lip. I have no idea what made them think that way. A competition, it all started because of a competition.

We, Lenka and I are great at academics, with me tutoring her every night when she can't fall asleep. It was quite strange but she was an insomniac when she was young, worrying about her grades at such a young age.

Then, this very faithful day approached us twins. The school were encouraging us to join some contest called "Baby Geniuses", the name sucks right? We were just five at that time. Lenka got really cheerful when she heard the news, and I? I didn't really cared. I didn't want getting recognized by anyone except for my family. I didn't have friends during my 5 years of living, Lenka and my family was all that I needed, that's what I thought.

We joined the contest together when our parents heard the news. Knowing that she wants to win, I've let her. She won, the champion. She was handed a big trophy and then our parents almost tripped caused by struggling to run towards her. She was gifted with hugs and praises.

Then, the idea shot into their mind. What about Len? Is he really useful? Is he really intelligent? Is he really our son? Doubts started infiltrating their brains, countless thoughts were corrupting them until every step, every move are turned into competitions. Whoever loses, gets a beating. And what kind of brother would like to see her sister suffer? I caught it all, I sacrificed my happiness for hers. I purposely became stupid in the house, I purposely became clumsy, I purposely became worst than ever and I purposely acted differently from all of them, to cut it short, I pretended that I wasn't their son. I wasn't related to them. That's what I did.

Lenka would always tell me to stop the act, but I insisted. She sent a thousand of attempts to lower her score from mine, most are cooking. She's a better cook than me but she'd put the wrong ingredients on purpose. Every time, I secretly switch her dish with mine so she won't get in trouble.

She was so confused at that time but eventually figured it out. Until she finally snapped. She told me that she had enough. Everything. After getting beat up again, she approached me with a stern face.

She'll tell the truth.

To them.

She'll spill everything.

I just- I had to protect her with all my might. So I told her bluffs.

She got devastated and begged on her knees, just to tell her the truth. But no, I didn't until she believed every word I said, then started hating me.

It was all according to my plan. Everything was now linked into a chain in a dark abyss.

Oliver were just a baby back then, he had nothing to do with our so called fight. Unlike us, he enjoyed his childhood, being the second favorite. Mostly the normal one. Lenka was spoiled but managed to keep her personality pure.

Whenever she saw me, it would be either a fake smile or a hostile expression.

Either way, it hurts me a lot back in the days.

Suddenly grasping my hands, she looked up to me full of desperation,
"No matter what happens, I will be here." she said but was quickly changed into a frown

"I'll try to be here." The last lines weren't clear enough for me to hear so I just shrugged it off and looked at the view.

"Len, you know what?"

"Hmm?"

"You could still fix your family's mess."

I can? But..

"Why would I do that?" I coldly remarked, lowering my gaze.

She then giggled and held my hand tighter. "I know you want them back. The feeling of being loved by a parent. I know you want to experience that once again. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to try right?"

I raised my head quickly and examined her. Her eyes were closed with her lips curved into a smile.

I felt my chest pounding fast, my cheeks were now wet caused by the tears that have fallen.

I wrapped her in my arms, hugging her tightly. I'm not sure why but my brain isn't working as of now.

Her phone started ringing in her pocket:

"Rin-chan now, Rin-chan now! Rin-chan Rin-chan Rin-chan now!"

"Hehehe, excuse me for a moment." She said and scratched her neck.

She pushed me back with care and picked her phone.

"'Yellowp! Awesome Rin-chan speaking!"

I couldn't hear anything from the other line since it all seems distorted.

"H-Ha? I-It is? Already?" The phone was noisy but she dropped it, staring at me.

It was a long silence, but I've noticed something. Underneath her jacket- why is it-

"Well Len! I have to go back! Lily-nee chan wants me to do a task!" Picking up her phone, she excused herself.

"Bye." I replied and she started disappearing from my sight.

Cupcake: Well! This book is now near it's end! I said that I'll be editing this book after finishing it, and I keep my words. Since I'm not allowed to edit it because of my words and laziness, I changed Len's age and everyone else's, Len's age is now 18, still in sophomore but now college. Basically, everyone's in college now. Lmao, I just thought that it isn't appropriate for Len to be saying some inappropriate words if he's 14, besides, this isn't supposed to be a "cute" story.

Just to remind you again, this is not a fluff, this will end with a bad ending. If you don't like these kind of stories, please kindly leave ^^...

I'm really aiming for a realistic story, not everything ends with a happy ending.

See you next time!

(BTW, 2 MORE CHAPTERS GUYS.)
