Prophecy and Truths

    Mackenzie's POV

Maria is scaring me. More than usual, at least.
"A prophecy about me?" I asked as Maria removed the shadow cloak around us so that Harry and Ron would get lost. "How could you be so sure it's about me?"
Maria let out a really big sigh. "I'm not yet sure." She said with a little hope in her eyes. "I haven't told anyone my suspicion. Rachel's been silent with the prophecies until today. She just jumped out of her cave and surprised us all by announcing it to the whole Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter. Chiron sent some demigods to find out who it was directed to. My suspicion was you and after the nightmare, I decided to come see you."
Why would she think the prophecy was about me?
Crystal spoke up. "I haven't heard the prophecy, do you mind?"
Maria shook her head and took a deep breath. "Here it goes,

The father of one shall lose his soul.
A secret, friends beyond worlds must know.
The cursed huntress completes her role.
A choice of the half-bloods defeats the foe."

I immediately knew it was about me. "The father of one shall lose his soul. That's about (gulp) my dad. He's dead, Maria!" I cried my heart out.
Crystal and Maria knelt beside me. "Listen, Mackenzie." Maria said. "A lot of people lost their father. This could be for anyone else. You don't have to worry."
I looked at them with bloodshot eyes. "Then how can you explain the second one, Friends beyond worlds. That's obviously about wizards."
Maria gave up trying to comfort me. "Okay, fine." She said standing up. "You win. This prophecy may be about you but you don't have to be scared. We're always here for you."
I buried my head in my hands. All I want is to release some steam. Music. Yes, music would help. "Thanks, but, I need a favor." I said looking up again. "Can someone lend me a guitar?"
Crystal seemed to understand and helped Maria create a guitar made of shadow and mist. She handed it to me saying, "Consider it a gift."
I strummed it and started playing the tune of Tonight by FM Static. Soon enough, I started singing too.

I remember the times we spent together, all those drives.

We had a million questions, all about our lives.

And when we got to New York, everything felt right.

I wish you were here with me,

    Tonight.

I remember the days we spent together, were not enough.

It used to feel like dreaming except we always woke up.

Never thought not having you here, now,

    Would hurt so much.

Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up.

I need your loving hands to come and pick me up.

And every night I miss you,

    I can just look up.

And know the stars are holding you,

    Holding you,

    Holding you,

    Tonight.

I ended up with tears running down my cheeks remembering my dad. His words. His love. "He never wanted me to have a life of being half wizard and half god. He said they were a powerful combination and that Professor McGonagall barely survived until she was helped by Dumbledore."
And it seems like I attracted some wizards too. "Mackenzie?" I heard Harry's voice from the woods. Then all four of them appeared looking worried.
"I'm right here, guys," I said as soon as they were walking close to me.
Ron was the first to explode. "You had us worried and you were gone. Maria seemed like a death eater. I mean, you're still a wizard in training. There are monsters in these woods, but we heard you singing and, Wow."
I laughed at the fact they thought Maria was a death eater. Before I said anything, Maria beat me to it. "Sorry to burst your bubble guys, I'm not a death eater. I mean, who the Hades eats death anyway?" I hope they didn't notice the 'Hades' part.
Crystal stepped up and added. "But Maria does love death." The same time she patted Maria on the back but Maria held her hand back.
Maria shook her head as if saying 'don't push it'.
Crystal immediately apologized. "I'm sorry, I forgot." She looked down in shame. "I just wanted to lighten up the mood."
Maria flicked her head against her in disgust. "You're just like your brother." She turned to all of us. "He pranked us to lighten our moods, but nothing's gonna change what we saw. What I saw." Oh dear, I feel the tension in the air.
I heard Maria went through a rough time after the Giant War. She ran away from her school for a good amount of time for the Giant War. Demigods said that she was trapped in a cage in Tartarus without food or water. Worst of all, she was forced to watch the deaths of heroes and enemies. They said that they were blaming her. Her savior was Nico. He brought her to Camp Half-Blood and continued to fight there. Where, she fought the last monster of the army and Gaea was put to sleep once more by the seven.
Crystal was being oblivious to all it, I could tell. But, she's like that because all her closest friends died trying to protect her. "You just don't understand, do you, Maria?"
This caught Maria's attention. "What do I not understand, huh?" She marched to Crystal and pinned her to a tree. "You know the death of those people isn't and will never will be a joke to me. I never loved death. I may have liked it, but it will never take the burden of what I saw. Even the Weasley twin was getting on my nerves. I was forced to see them and let's just say I wasn't happy about it."
Crystal just tackled her and let out her thoughts. "You think that it would be easy to just move on?" Crystal was fuming. "Why do you think I like to be alone, huh? Why do you think I set up some afternoon tea in my palace rather than go out with you guys? My friends died and I just can't accept it. Death isn't easy to comply with, Reynon. You were trapped but the death I experienced was with my very eyes. The reason why they died is because of me. All because they had to protect their princess who can kill a truck load of monsters in a snap of her fi-"
"I DIED FOR DAD'S SAKE!" Maria said losing her cool.
All this time I was trying to keep my temper down but I lost it. "ENOUGH FIGHTING!" I screamed trying to control them. "You people are fighting over who has had the worst experience with death while I'm here just trying to keep my temper down because none of you had to go through SPEAKING AN UNFORGIVABLE CURSE I NEVER SHOULD HAVE SPOKEN!" I broke down into tears.
Maria and Crystal decided to team up, against me. "You killed monsters for it. We had seen deaths far more wide than a silly spell of yours." Crystal said.
I just realized all three of us were having a word war on who has had the worst experience. "At least you didn't kill your own kin." I mumbled so that no one would hear.
"What was that?" Maria asked mockingly.
That was it. I was angry and hurt, not because of them, but because of me. "I said, AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T KILL YOUR OWN KIN! MY FATHER WANTED THE BEST FOR ME. WE COULD BE OUT IN THE VALLEYS ENJOYING NOW, BUT HE WANTED THE BEST FOR ME. I KILLED MY OWN FATHER, YOU HEAR ME?!...I killed an innocent man. At least you guys aren't murderers." I covered my mouth realizing I said that out loud to my dad's own students.
Oh gods, what do I do now?
