"What's wrong?" He heard someone ask.

When Jewel looked up to see who asked he saw someone who he thought looked rather strange. He saw a female with long black hair and yellow eyes.

She wore a red dress that came down to around her knees and she looked to be almost ten years older than Jewel did. Jewel wiped his eyes when he saw her and looked away.

"Why do you care?" Jewel asked looking at away from her. He still didn't want to look at her he didn't want her to see him crying.

"Well you're crying why wouldn't I care?" The woman asked looking at him.

"Your aura feels strange," Jewel said looking at the woman in front of him.

"What do you mean?" Cinder asked looking at the small child in front of her. She was now interested in the boy after all usually someone couldn't read an aura signature unless they were touching them.

"It's hard to get a read on your aura. It feels like you're lying yet telling the truth at the same time," Jewel said looking at Cinder. When he said this the woman tensed up just a bit.

"You know I saw what happened in that bank. What you did was pretty cool," The female said looking at him.

"R-Really?" Jewel asked his voice showing a little hope in it. After all even when he was being experimented on he never got praise from anyone. It was usually you need to be faster or you need to react quicker never anything positive.

He was rather happy about this because he was still reading her aura and he could tell that she meant every word of what she had just said. After a seven year old defeating several large men was impressive.

"Yes it was very cool of you. Mind telling me where you learned to do that?" The female asked looking at him.

"It doesn't matter that place is gone now," Jewel said looking at her.

"Oh okay well do you mind fighting for me?" The woman asked looking at Jewel.

"I-I would but . . . I don't know anything about you," Jewel said looking at her.

"Oh how rude of me well my name's Cinder and I want to make the world a better place," She said looking at Jewel.

"My name's Jewel and I think I'll pass," Jewel said looking at the ground. He had already tried to make the world a better place and he saw how that turned out.

"Is it because of what they said?" Cinder asked looking at him. Jewel looked up at her a little confused when she said this and nodded.

"I saved them so why?" Jewel asked looking at the ground.

"They just don't understand a gift when they see one. Come with me and I can ensure that everyone will treat you with love and kindness and not fear and hatred like they did," Cinder said looking at him.

"W-well I-I guess a few f-fights couldn't hurt," Jewel said looking at Cinder. When he said this the female smiled and offered him a hand up Jewel smiled and took her hand.

After this act of kindness Jewel stopped examining her aura and just decided to trust her. After all out of the people he had ever met she was the only one who had ever been truly nice to him.

As they walked they came to a old building with shattered windows and a boarded door. It gave Jewel an uneasy feeling and he looked at the teen figure in front of him.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" Jewel asked a bit nervous.

"Yes I'm sure. Don't tell me a tough guy like you is scared," Cinder said looking at Jewel.

"W-well it is dark in there," Jewel said looking at the boarded up door a little afraid. Cinder was a little shocked to hear this until she remembered that this was a seven year old she was talking to. It's natural for kids his age to be afraid of the dark.

"Oh come on big guy please follow me," Cinder requested looking at the white haired male in front of her. Jewel looked at it a little skeptically but he came closer but very slowly.

"Tell you what if you get scares you can hold my hand," Cinder said looking at him. She couldn't believe what she was saying but she did need to get the boy into the building so he could fight.

"O-Okay," Jewel said as he climbed through the cracks of the boards and walked through the dark room with the female beside him. The room progressively got darker as they walked forward.

When it got the point that things started to fade from Jewel's feild of vision he reached up grabbed Cinder's hand. The female looked down at the male a little surprised.

She expected him to be calm and blushing after all younger men and women were known to usually have crushes on older men and women in fact it was actually very common.

However she saw that Jewel had his eyes shut and that he was shaking slightly. 'He really is afraid of the dark. How can someone like him be afraid of the dark?' Cinder thought to herself as she walked into the room.

The room now started to become brighter and slightly more noisy when this happened Jewel opened his eyes and let go of Cinders hand figuring that she didn't want to hold his hand anymore.

They made their way through the crowd and when they got to the center because Cinder knew that was the only place he could see what was happening.

Jewel was a little surprised at what he saw. There was a ring of fire and two men where fighting each other. He watched the two men progress until one was forced out of the ring.

When he was forced out Jewel heard some cheers and some boo's. After which the male that was still in the ring got out of the ring and was handed some money.

"Alright would our next challengers please enter the ring," a man said looking at them. As soon as he said this a tall man with a very large body stepped forward.

His body wasn't in the best shape he was obviously overweight but his arms were very toned which suggested that he was indeed strong. "I'll go," the male said as he entered the ring.

Some others looked like they were going to volunteer until he stepped into the ring. When he did they all backed away. "No one wants to face Titan? I'll double the reward for anyone who can beat him," the male said looking at everyone.

Cinder smiled when she heard this and stepped forward. "I know someone," she said looking at him.

"Alright so it's the young female against Titan do I have any take-" the male began only to get cut off.

"No not me. My friend here is going to fight," Cinder said pointing to Jewel when she did he became more nervous and looked at everyone who was now staring at him.

When they heard this they all started to laugh. Jewel wasn't sure weather this was good thing or bad thing but Cinder on the other hand smiled.

They were all laughing meaning that they were all going to bet their money on Titan. "Listen girly I'm not sure what you're doing but don't embarrass yourself by making me fight him," The male said looking at her.

"Sounds like someone's scared," Cinder said looking at him. The taller male gritted his teeth at this comment and sighed.

"Alright but it's the kids funeral," the giant male said as he walked away. Cinder walked over to Jewel who now looked very nervous.

"Y-you w-want me f-fight him?" Jewel asked looking at Cinder like she had just grown a second head.

"Yes I'm sure you can beat him," Cinder said looking at Jewel.

"Are you kidding me? He's like the size of mountain I can beat him," Jewel said looking at Cinder.

"Yes you can just fight him like you fought those other men," Cinder said looking him.

"Use as much force as necessary to subdue the opponent?" Jewel asked looking at her. Cinder found this a little odd after all the entire time that she knew him he never talked like that it sounded like that had been embedded into his head.

"Close but not quite," the female said as she pointed to a few men who were pouring something on the floor. "See them in a few moments they're going to light the liquid on fire. Your goal is use as much force as necessary to push him out of the ring," Cinder said looking at him.

"O-oh okay," Jewel said as he walked into the center of the ring. He then watched as the giant man in front of him approached. Now that he was close Jewel became much more nervous. Because now he could see just how big Titan was.

He looked to be at least eight feet tall. That topped off with his physique made him look that much taller. "Alright kid I'm ready whenever you are," Titan said looking down at the small male in front of him.

'Alright Jewel calm down, stay clam remember what they all told you. Fear is just power that refuses to manifest itself. So just get rid of it,' Jewel told himself as he looked at the male in front of him.

When he thought about all the things he had been through he sighed and looked at him. He wasn't as intimidating anymore but he was still a little nervous. "Ready? Set? . . . What's wrong?" Jewel asked looking at the male in front of him.

"What do you mean?" Titan asked looking at him.

"Well everyone else I've fought always said go so that I knew they were ready," Jewel said looking at him.

Titans face turned a little grim at this as he looked at the male in front of him. 'He's that innocent? I just know beating up this kids going to give me nightmares but what other choice do I have? I have a reputation to uphold,' Titan thought looking at him.

"Alright then let's start over," Titan said taking a ready stance. 'Least I can do is act like I'm trying to make the kid feel better,' the man thought as he looked at Jewel.

"Ready? Set?" Jewel once again began only to let Titan finish for him. As soon as he heard this Titan smirked. Cinder on the other hand saw something rather interesting. Titan probably didn't notice because of how and where he was standing.

Jewel had one of his fists behind his back and it had a light red outline on it. She then looked to his feet and both of them had the same shade of red around it. Although it was hard to tell because he was standing close to the fire which gave off the same shade of red.

"Go," Titan said looking at Jewel and as soon as he said this he found the young kids fist in his rather large stomach. This forced the male not only out of the ring but also sent him flying into the wall.

When Jewel saw this he felt regret spread through his body. 'That was to much,' Jewel thought looking at the male. "I-I'm s-sorry I-I th-thought you w-were r-ready," Jewel said in a low nervous voice.

The crowd around him was dumbstruck until Cinder walked into the ring. "See I knew you could do it," Cinder said looking at him.

"I'm next and I want to fight the kid," a male said stepping into the ring. Jewel became a little nervous as he watched the male pull out two daggers. "I also propose we have a weapons match," the male said looking at Jewel.

"Follow me," Cinder said looking at Jewel. The white haired male nodded and walked into another section of the room. When they got there Jewel saw several different weapons on a rack. "Pick whichever you're best with," she said looking at him.

"Um . . . " Jewel began earning him a concerned look from Cinder.

"What's wrong?" Cinder asked looking at him.

"I've never used a weapon before," Jewel said looking at the ground a bit embarrassed. He would have started weapons training a week ago but the place he was supposed to train was destroyed.

"Well then pick the one you think is the best," Cinder said looking at him. Jewel looked at the several choices in front of him. He wasn't sure which one to pick so he picked the one he thought looked the coolest.

1. Sword
2. Scythe
3. Mace
4. Daggers
5. Staff
6. Chain scythe
7. Whips
8. Spear
9. Gauntlets
10. Hunga munga
