Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler, and Gabriel finally arrive at their next destination, they park their car next to a building.

"It's here?" Ellie asked, checking the GPS.

"No, there's a red pin-" Alan tried to figure out how to use the cellphone.

"No, that's actually how we know where it is." Gabriel explained

"Oh." Alan pocketed the phone right after, "I guess we're in the right location then, what a bad choice of symbol."

"Alan." Ellie chuckled and nudged him.

"What?" Alan shrugged, "It just doesn't make sense, at all."

"Do you know the floor?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes..." Grant nodded.

The three of them get inside the lift, they go all the way up to the top, they arrive at the apartment where they wanted to get.

Alan knocked on the door, nobody answered, he knocked again.

"I'm not available right now!" The man inside the apartment replied

"Forget it, he'll never answer us." Alan was about to walk away.

"No, wait!" Ellie stopped him, "Gabriel, tell him."

"Dr. Grant, you're supposed to press the doorbell," Gabriel whispered to Alan.

Ellie slightly laughed, "Sorry."

Alan pressed the doorbell.

"Coming." The man replied, he walked towards the door, he did not open it, "Who's out there."

"Ian, it is us." Alan said.

"Oh shit." Ian sighed, "What do you want."

"Can we please have a minute?" Alan asked.

Ian sighed, "Fine." he unlocked the door, and leaned on the doorway, "Dr. Grant, Dr. Sattler what a surprise."

"I'm Gabriel." Gabriel shook Ian's hand, when Ian lets go, Gabriel fanboys, "Oh, my, god Ian Malcolm touched my hand..."

"Don't get used to it, kid," Ian said annoyed by the young volunteer.

"Ian, we need your help." Ellie said.

"And, I already don't like this." Ian shook his head, "You really chose the day my wife isn't home."

"Wife?" Alan looked at Ellie, "What happened to the ex- miss Malcolm search?"

Ian scoffed, "I'm not like that anymore, I already settled for the perfect one."

"Please, listen, there's this company, names BioSyn, they're hosting an Auction in Malta, Ellie, Gabriel and I are planning on sabotaging them and exposing who they actually are to the world." Alan explained.

"Sounds very maleficent." Ian face-palmed, "Okay now YOU listen to me, this will definitely work, a company like them will have top tier security, you won't stand a chance against them, and if you do, the world will turn against you, besides dinosaurs are obviously involved, there's no way in this whole miserable world I'm joining you." Ian breathed for a second, "The planet has survived everything, in its time. It will certainly survive us." 

"But-" Alan was interrupted by Ian again.

"Whatever it is you seek, you have to put in the time, the practice, the effort. You must give up a lot to get it. It has to be very important to you. And once you have attained it, it is your power. It can't be given away it resides in you. It is literally the result of your discipline." Ian said, he then pushed them all away, "Now leave."

Alan sighed, "Very Well, but if you change your mind, which you certainly won't, you'll know how to find us." Alan gave him a tracker so he could find them anywhere.

"Come on Alan." Ellie offered Alan her hand, he denied it, they all left without Ian, they head back to their car and go after the secret base of Biosyn where no one knows its location.
