F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M was a project regarding transmutation. The project was led by Professor Martin Stein. It majorly focused on perfecting transmutation – essentially reworking atoms on a sub-atomic level, by unzipping the atoms and rebuilding them into new elements. During Stein's time in University, it was at the time Stein went onto Stage 3, because Stein didn't believe in "baby-steps". One day, the university confiscated all Stein's research. And as for Stein, he left with Project F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M and he took it to somewhere in the country. But since the Particle Accelerator in that same town went haywire the night Stein came, F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M was used on Ronald Raymond AND Professor Stein, creating the "Burning Man" as Iris calls it.

The S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator was a clean energy device designed and created by Harrison Wells with the help of fellow S.T.A.R. Labs Team Members Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow and Ronnie Raymond. It's original purpose was to power all of Central City with clean energy. On the night it was turned on everything went wrong and The Particle Accelerator exploded sending a huge shockwave into the sky and throughout . In the aftermath of The Event The Particle Accelerator created and gave birth to Metahumans. 

My, Kira, and Sabrina have been friends with Harrison, Cisco, Caitlyn, Ronnie, and Stein for years.
