Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well! A few months ago, I opened my reviews up to all genres to help writers of all kinds grow in their writings. I think a lot of writers have benefited from this, and I'm so happy I could reach out to help people that way.

However, I've noticed a problem with doing that. It's nothing against the writers who write outside of the Pokéfic genre. In actuality, that's where I started writing, and think really highly of those writers. I know how hard it is to write in that genre, so I give lots of props to those writing fictional work. It takes a ton of imagination and time to do that. I just feel as if I'm not as good at reviewing those books as much as I am at Pokéfics.

Hear me out. I know a lot of those writers who I have helped have said they appreciated my feedback. My critiques aren't completely in vain, but I find them a chore to do. It can be hard for me to pinpoint where the book needs improving or sometimes, just reading it because I don't read much of those genres as much as I did.

But if my reviews are somewhat helpful, shouldn't I be satisfied with that? No. There are some other reasons I will not discuss on here because to put it bluntly, I'm not sure how to phrase it without making it sound like I'm being petty. Those are my issues, and my issues alone. The one reason that sounds a bit petty, but will share with you all, is that I miss reviewing Pokéfic. I don't do it as often now that more and more writers are finding this. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm getting a tad homesick (of sorts) since I'm not reviewing Pokéfics as much anymore.

It's because of the many reasons that I am reverting back to strictly reviewing Pokéfic. To those writers I've already accepted a review, I'll get to it. I've already promised a review, and I don't want to go back on my word. I will give it my 110% effort, and help you out. After that, I won't accept anymore outside-Pokéfic-books.

If you need a critic for a book that you're writing and this new rule is absolutely bothering you, I suggest reading an earlier News article about other critics you can see. If all of them have already given you review, or if none of them are willing to give you a review, please wait a month. Sometime in November, I plan on having another chapter filled with other people you can go to.

Notice how I said reviews are the only service I'm taking this back on. If you want an original-fic to be promoted, I will gladly give you one. After all, I do recognize how much hard work goes into that, so I don't want to dismiss it due to what I believe are my strengths and weaknesses in critiquing.

I hope you can all understand where I'm coming from. Again, I apologize to those writers who wanted me to critique an original fic and can no longer get a review from me. Fear not, there are other critics I can help lead you to if you need one.

No matter what type of book you all write, I wish you all the best of luck with it. Just keep writing with all your heart!
