Chapter 4
~Jungkook~
I'm afraid of it, Jungkook thought to himself as he leaned his head against the wall, shutting his eyes. Even though all he could see was black, Jiwoo's face flashed before his mind. He shook his head, trying to erase her face from his mind.
It's like I don't want to remember.
"So let me forget everything," he murmured.
As Jungkook waited to be picked up by his members, he had a few last check ups and scans with the doctors. Even though he wanted Jiwoo to stay away, he couldn't help but feel a little guilty about being the reason she was not here too.
Several times he tried his best to remember her but nothing came up at all. He looked up articles and clips of him talking about her but nothing triggered at all. In the end, he had really painful headaches that he gave up trying to remember her.
He wanted to forget everything about her because it was easier that way but a part of him was curious to know why he would choose someone like that to be his bride too.
"This is killing me," Jungkook sighed loudly to himself.

"Let's go over some things—"
Jungkook cut Jimin off, "Hyung, stop it already."
"We need to make sure you know what to say and what not to say," Jimin scowled as he straightened himself on the sofa, leaning over, eyes on Jungkook.
"Just be nice," Yoongi told Jungkook. "Jiwoo's like a family to us now so don't go kicking her out like you did."
Jungkook sighed at that.
"What did you say to her anyways?" Namjoon asked Jungkook who immediately looked away when they locked eyes. "Even when you two fought, Jiwoo's never gone silent for that long."
Jungkook didn't answer him.
Seokjin patted Jungkook's head and said loudly, "It's fine, don't tell us. As long as you don't say something like that to her again, it will be fine."
Yeah, well, Jungkook knows that now.
They were sitting in the lounge waiting for Jiwoo to come home. She was going to be late or so she says. After the members picked Jungkook up from the hospital, they went out for lunch before coming home. Through all this, they lectured him and told him what he shouldn't say or do in front of Jiwoo. He came to realise just how close the girl was with them. It made him uncomfortable with the way he should behave around someone he has no memory of. Not to mention, he was in a lot of pain already too.
At the sound of the door opening from the front, Jungkook tensed. Feeling this, Yoongi lightly reached over and tapped his hand on Jungkook's knee in attempt to reassure him that everything's going to be okay. Jungkook wasn't too sure about that.
"In here!" Namjoon called out.
After a few minutes, Jiwoo walked into the lounge, her eyes landed on Jungkook and then she quickly glanced away. Something about that pissed him off.
"Ah, you're back," Jimin grinned. Jungkook's eyes went to Jimin's grinning face and he hated that too.
Jiwoo waved, "Hi."
"Are you hungry?" Seokjin asked, shifting to the end of the sofa, tapping on the empty spot beside him. "Want me to make something for you?"
That really pissed Jungkook off too.
Yoongi nudge Jungkook with his elbow, whispering, "Stop glaring."
Jungkook wasn't even aware that he was glaring until Yoongi pointed it out. He blinked a few times and then just looked away.
"I already ate," Jiwoo replied, walking over and sitting beside Seokjin. According to Jungkook, it was a little too close.
"Say something," Hoseok encouraged Jungkook. "I mean, you two are technically engaged and everything."
Right, this was supposed to be the time when Jungkook apologise and maybe try to make peace with her so that living under the same roof won't be too bad.
"So, we live under the same roof too," Jungkook muttered, shocked that he'd said it in a tone that was filled with disgust. His eyes quickly went to Jiwoo and he saw that she just smiled. A smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"I have some really cool photos I wanted to show you," Taehyung chimed in, changing the topic since it was getting hard to speak with the tense atmosphere. "Do you want to see them afterwards?"
Jungkook slid a sideways glance at Taehyung. Was this normal for him and the members? To be so close with Jiwoo like this? They were never that carefree around women before.
"I'd like that," Jiwoo replied.
~Jiwoo~
It was obvious the members had a few words with Jungkook before I came home. I was grateful that they did that but at the same time, I'd wish they haven't because it just made things awkward for Jungkook and I.
As Taehyung got up, I followed him towards his room to look at some photos with him. I was happy he'd brought it up because I'd wanted to show him some of mine too. I wasn't as good as him but still, it was fun showing photos of sceneries with Taehyung.
"I'll order pizza for us," Taehyung said, looking over his shoulders at me as we walked towards the hallway. "Just in case you get hungry. I know you haven't been eating well too."
I laughed at how concerned he was. Even if I was full, I'd eat anything he gets for me because I know just how picky he can be with food.
"Thank you, Taehyung."
As we walked out of there, I wasn't aware of how tense the atmosphere got when I'd followed Taehyung. I especially wasn't aware of the cold look Jungkook had on his face as his eyes followed us.
