Chapter 2
~Jungkook~
The door slammed behind the girl—Jiwoo, as she ran out of the room. Jungkook felt a little bad for the way he talked but he couldn't help it. He doesn't know who she is. Engaged? Soon to be married? It doesn't feel right. It's not something he'd do.
Either way, he wasn't lying though. The girl wasn't his type at all.
"There must be a reason I don't remember her," Jungkook said to himself, trying to figure out why he couldn't remember someone like her who is supposedly someone important to him. Jungkook winced at the sharp pain and clutched onto his head. He stilled, waiting for the pain to subside before he sighed.
"That's why it's best if I don't remember her." Because it hurts him to try.

~Hoseok~
When Hoseok and the members went to visit Jungkook, they saw that he was asleep. Not wanting to wake him up, they decided to wait outside for him. Namjoon told the others that Jiwoo had been acting differently since meeting Jungkook and that he was worried about her. The members decided to split and go see Jiwoo but Namjoon said he'll go instead since he had an important meeting with the company. He will drop by the dorms to check up on her after he's done with the meeting.
As Hoseok and the rest of the members left to go back to the dorms, no one said anything on the ride home. Looking around, Hoseok knew that he was feeling what the others were feeling too. His mind wonders to Jiwoo.
Seokjin gestured for everyone to sit in the living room when the car came to a stop and they were walking towards the house together. It seemed like the members have a lot to say about Jungkook's condition too.
"You're back," Namjoon said, getting up from the sofa and walking towards them. "Jiwoo's not here."
Yoongi stopped walking. "Where is she? Is she okay?"
Namjoon shook his head, "I don't know," he replied, honestly. "she said not to worry and that she'll be back whenever."
"Gives more reasons for us to worry," Jimin murmured.
Hoseok dropped down on the sofa and sighed, "Why did it come down to this?"
"What's happening with Jungkook?" Namjoon asked, sitting across from Hoseok. When Hoseok didn't reply, Namjoon's eyes scanned the faces of the members and his fear grew. "Hoseok?"
Hoseok shook his head, "About Jiwoo..." he hesitated and then said, "he doesn't remember her."
"He doesn't?" Namjoon's eyes widened.
"He doesn't have any memory of the past five months," Taehyung told Namjoon. "Which means, he has no memory of Jiwoo too."
Namjoon cursed.
"What are we going to do?" Seokjin sighed.
"What's going to happen to them now?" Hoseok murmured to himself. Since Jungkook has no memory of her—
"They are supposed to marry in three months," Namjoon ran his hand down his face, obviously troubled by the whole thing. He lifted his eyes to meet the members', "What's going to happen then?"
"He refused to marry her," Jimin answered with a soft sigh.
"Refused?"
"He's really against it," Yoongi said, quietly. "Said he's not going to marry someone he doesn't know."
"Wait—so Jiwoo knows about him not remembering her then?" Namjoon looked around to confirm this and Seokjin nodded. "What did he say to her? Is that why she's not here?"
Everyone tensed.
Taehyung sighed, "That's probably why."
As the members began to worry about Jungkook and Jiwoo's state, Hoseok let himself remember the conversation with Jungkook before they decided to come home.
"You want me to marry someone I don't know," Jungkook said, eyes hardening. "I can't do that."
"Jungkook-ah," Jimin began.
Seokjin held out his arm, stopping Jimin from taking another step forward. Jimin was about to protest but Seokjin shook his head.
"Are you sure about this?" Taehyung asked, lowly. "You know... with this wedding and everything, you were really keen on marrying her."
"It doesn't make any difference since I don't remember her," Jungkook said, flatly.
"What about we help you regain some of your memories?" Hoseok suggested.
Jungkook shook his head. "No."
"No?"
"It's best if I don't remember," Jungkook said, lifting his eyes to meet his hyungs. "I want to try and breathe easy for a while and then I'll decide what I want to do about the girl."
The girl. He didn't even bother using her name. A name that light up his whole face when someone mentions it.
"He's changed," Yoongi put in. Hoseok's attention was back to Yoongi just like the other members. "I'm thinking... even if we want to do something, we can't until Jungkook agrees. Besides, we've got a lot of things to go over with him before our concert."
No one said anything because they knew he was right.
