She was only six and so precious I'm sure. She was playing with friends, probably catching fireflies when last seen by her family. She disappeared without notice. There one minute... Gone the next. It was an early summer evening in June 1995.

Now twenty years later, there is still no sign of what became of her. Many of us still hope and pray for her safe return. We have learned that it is possible for the abducted to resurface after years of imprisonment and isolation. If was sacrificed by some sick person, we still need an end place for her family and friends.

Her Mother still advocates for the safety of missing and lost children. As a result of her Mother's tireless efforts, the Morgan Nick Amber alert was established for the notification of missing children in her home state.

Maybe one day children will be safe and cherished as the gifts that they are. Until then it is all of our jobs to protect them from the evil that man(kind) does.
