Spoiled

When I was a child growing up, I initially had two older sisters. For years I was the youngest. My Mother's baby boy.

Needless to say, being the only boy and youngest, I got a spoiled.

Rotten!!!!!!

I loved it. A big spacious room all to myself. Mama would always ask me what I wanted for dinner. I got most of her attention. What a life.

Later in life we were blessed with my little sister.

Really!!!!!!!!!

After ten years!!!!!! We don't need a new baby!!!!! We already got me to be the baby!!!!!

There was a distinct error in my thinking. A selfishness born from love. An entitlement beyond reason. But let's face it....

I was spoiled!!!!

As life would have it, there is a cure for almost all that ails a body. One Christmas, my parents went to the local orphanage and picked out a little boy about my age and brought him home.

What a time we had. Rough housing and playing. Finally, someone for me to kick around with. It was so much fun.

Christmas day came. We were up early. You know how kids are, under the tree. I had a pile of stuff. The girls had stuff too. But most of the gifts under the tree had my name on them. I was in sheer heaven. Then Lennard had to go and ruin things. He wanted to play with my things. I pitched a fit!!!!!!!!

But let's not forget...

I was SPOILED.

ROTTEN!!!!!!!!!

I learned a very valuable lesson during that holiday season. When you've got things going your way, you should appreciate blessing.

If you are happy with your station in life... Quit yo bitching!!!!!

My lesson was a simple one. My sweet and loving parents offered to take me and drop my spoiled ass off at the orphanage and keep Lennard. When I resisted that as well, when they took Lennard back to the orphanage, Lennard had a carload of new toys and I had a new attitude.
