There are as many types of lawn keepers as they are lawns. From the extravagant lawn to the plain yard.

Some seed. Some sod Some spray seed. There are those who fertilize and there are those who weed.

I have seen yards...

Excuse me, I have seen lawns that look like putting greens or the outfield of some Major League Baseball team. I am awed by these particular lawn keepers. All of the watering, the fertilizing, the cross cutting. Who has that much love for grass. Or time on their hands.

Then there are those who like to use plants to accent their lawns. Very beautiful. If to no one but the homeowner. These growers go through the same type processes as the putting green homeowners. Lots of watering, fertilizing, planting and weeding.

Another type of lawn keeper is the I could really care less, I hope that it doesn't rain enough because I am surely not going to water it lawn keeper. This is one of my favorite types of lawn keeper. Not only is there no watering, cutting is kept to a bare minimum. I call this type the Brown Grass Brigade.

Then there is me. To heck with it all lawn man.

Pour more concrete.

Just be done with it all.
