Saturo Gojo x Reader / Night talks

Hope you like it!

Third's POV

Life can be a mess sometimes. One moment it gives you everything and the next one it takes it all back. It's a silly and tricky game that it plays with every single human, or not, being. A game in which some know how to cheat and win no matter the situation. Smart, rich and powerful people. They are always the winners. They are always on the top. And then there are the losers. Stupid, poor and weak people. They are always at the bottom. They always lose.

(Y/n) sighed annoyed at herself for thinking things like that once again. When she couldn't sleep her mind would always wander to anything else except sleeping. Thoughts that she usually put to a stop by going out. She wound force herself to walk, to tire her body and soul more than they already were. It usually worked and she was hoping that it would tonight as well.

-"Can you not sleep once again?"

(Y/n) didn't bother to stop moving or even turn her head to acknowledge the person that just talked. She just sighed as she rolled her tired (e/c) eyes.

-"You know the answer to that, yet you always ask." she spoke, as she put her hands in the pockets of her jacket.

-"I have to somehow start the conversation you know, (Y/n)." the man told her in a happy tone, as he was now walking beside her.

-"I know Saturo." she said, as she took a deep breath enjoying, one of the many, cold nights of the Autumn.
-"You could have said that the night is beautiful tonight or one of those cheesy things that you always say."

-"The night is beautiful tonight." he said smiling goofily.

(Y/n) giggled at his answer, before turning her head to finally look at him. Their eyes met immediately, as he was already looking at her. He wasn't wearing his usual black bandana around his eyes, allowing her to stare at his ocean blue eyes, as his white hair were down in a somehow perfect way. He was wearing a black tracksuit and a pair of comfortable sneakers. His body was relaxed just like hers. She always remembered herself feeling that way around him. A feeling that she didn't quite understand if it was good or bad.

-"You look more tired than usual. Everything alright?" (Y/n) asked him as she finally stopped walking and sat on a bench.

-"I returned a few minutes ago from a mission. That's all." he answered as he sat beside her.

-"I guess it was a piece of cake, as always, for you." she told him as she looked up at the sky smiling softly.

-"Of course it was. I am the strongest!" he told her snootily.

(Y/n) didn't answer to that. She focused her mind and thoughts at the endless darkness out there. She liked how calm it was at night. All this silence brought peace inside her soul. However, at the same time it made her feel scared and being on guard. Curses were lurking around at those hours. Monsters that bring only disasters and death. Creatures with no way to stop from coming back in different forms and stronger than before.

-"On the other hand, I would say that you aren't the usual tired (Y/n). Did something happen?" Saturo asked her, as he was observing her.

-"I am good. Just my mind playing games with me."

-"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked her with a hint of excitement.

Satoru was usually an outgoing guy. One of those annoying people that talk without thinking and act like a child all the time even in serious matters. However, this wasn't the case when he was with (Y/n). She wasn't exactly an important person for him, but he needed her in his life. She was more reasonable, more mature than anyone else he knew. He needed her to remind him of the reality. She was the only person calm and patient enough to talk to him. She was the only one that endured his craziness.

-"Not really." she answered as she looked at him calmly.

-"Please? I am in the mood for a question or two." he told her looking back at her with a soft smile.

-"As always." she mumbled as she sighed.
-"Many thoughts passed my mind tonight, but one stuck with me right now. It's about the curses." she continued saying as she looked at her lap where her hands were resting.
-"Do you think that we can stop them?"

Saturo didn't understand at first what she meant. This generation's sorcerers were very strong. Especially himself. Having him at the good side was a big advantage due to being the strongest. His powers, his entirely existence was a blessing. He always thought that and he will continue doing so. However, despite his big ego, he understood that the meaning behind her question was deeper. One that he couldn't catch on.

(Y/n) continued looking at her hands as her mind wandered off to the past fights that she had all those years. She fought with dozens of curses. She hunted and killed more than she can think of and yet they didn't end. They didn't stop existing, nor peace came. Curses continue living among them with each passing day increasing more.

-"Every day we face something new." (Y/n) started saying as she clenched her fists.
-"A new problem. A new curse. We defeat them and win. Yet, the next day we do the same. Why? Is it not supposed to end at some point?"

Saturo frowned at her words finally understanding her question. It's been centuries, thousand years of fighting curses. Yet, as she said, it never ended. It never stopped and probably won't now either.

-"I guess that as long humans hate and curse each other there won't be an end." Saturo answered before smiling widely.
-"But I can promise you that I will try my best to put a stop to it! Considering who I am, I have high hopes!"

-"Don't make promises that you can't keep." (Y/n) told him calmly, as she stood up and started walking for her dorm.

-"That's rude you know!" he told her as he followed her.

-"The truth hurts as you know."

-"I don't know, because I am the strongest and never get hurt!" he said proudly.

(Y/n) sighed as she smiled softly. He indeed was a very strong sorcerer. A miracle that humanity needed in order to survive. Yet, there were things that he couldn't keep up with. She believed that he already had a big responsibility by taking all the hard and deadly missions. Adventures that take all his attention from other things. Things like the promise he gave. She knew that he can't keep up with it. Not because he doesn't have time or power, but because he will forget it. It's something meaningless for his little mind. Something that won't be there at the sunrise, because he doesn't care about it. His ego is too high to admit it, but she can see right through him.

-"Good night Satoru. Thanks for the company." she told him as she started unlocking her dorm's front door.

-"Will you not invite me inside?" he asked her ready to enter the room.

(Y/n) pushed him away softly making him back off. He wasn't going to force her to do as he wanted, but at least he wanted to try. After all he knew that she wasn't going to get mad. She thankfully was very calm and patient with him and probably everyone else.

-"Good night Saturo." she told him once again, smiling softly.

-"Good night I guess." he answered matching her smile, before turning around to walk away.

(Y/n) closed the door behind her and walked to her bed laying on it. She wasn't really sleepy, but she was more tired than she was before. Hopefully it would be enough to make her sleep and stop her mind from making any more thoughts for a few hours. She needed to rest, just like her white haired friend. They needed a few hours of peace. Those were their only quiet time after all.

......

The end.
