Juju and Her Sixth Sense

CHAPTER 2

Around the restaurant, some 'paparazzi' (photographers) take pictures of the couple Juju and Peter.

Inside the restaurant, Juju and Peter are seated at the table. They are waiting for the waiter to bring the food, meanwhile, Peter starts to sing rap with the objects that are on the table, but he is a little clumsy.

Peter singing, trying to rhyme: "The food was ordered and soon it will be served, oh, yea, yea... and I'm here with my girl, so take care...She's picking up the cutlery...oh yea, yea.".

Juju is giving a small smile, a smile of embarrassment. "Oh, Peter...please...not now...".

But Peter continues 'to sing': ""I already know what I'm gonna eat, but I don't know what to do with... so many forks and spoons... I'm not a witch or wizard, so it's hard, I can't hide my wish for fish...I won't run, 'cause I won't drink Rum right now...but I don't know how I don't like this spoon, the drink Rum...see you soon, see you later, first inside my dish I prefer the fish...and that's alright last night I fucked this lady her name is Juju...and I love you.".

Meanwhile, the waiter, 21, is already very close and starts serving the couple. The waiter begins to put the food on the table.

Peter continues, trying to rhyme, he is unstoppable:

"Yea, yea, I don't like the spoon. yea, yea, I only like women... yea, it's more women, less spoon and more Rum. (looking at the waiter) yea, it's more women, less spoon....and more Rum.".

Waiter says to Peter: "I'm sorry, but I'm gay, buddy... but It's okay... you are lucky, she is stunning and I'll bring the Rum...very soon.".

Peter is embarrassed and he stops singing: "I got it, man. I stop to rhyme here... and thanks for the Rum.".

Juju to waiter: "I'm sorry about that... (reading the name) Mark... It's just that my boyfriend thinks he's a rapper.".

Mark, the waiter, says: "All right, beauty. I'm a bit cheeky. I didn't want to embarrass you, (to Peter) you can continue if you want.".

Juju says: "No, no, let's eat now. You've got here on time. I liked you, Mark, you're very spontaneous. The world needs more people who are smart. Sometimes the life sounds so frustraneous...To survive life, you have to work hard, without forgetting the art and I liked you Mark, that's all right. Mark, the waiter, says: "Juju? Excuse me, beauty... But what do you work with?

"With internet." Juju said.

"We are digital influencers. Both of us.". Peter said.

Waiter, smiling; "Oh, I knew it, I know you, Juju. My boyfriend and I are big fans. Well, he prefers Karen and I prefer you. You're my muse, luxurious. Bon appétit. Enjoy your meal, beauty.".

Peter begins to eat.

"Thanks." Juju said.

Juju begins to eat.

Waiter begins to reiterate, but he stops and politely returns to talk to Juju.

Mark, the waiter, says: "If it's not bothersome, later... after your dinner, if possible, I'd like to take a picture with you, Juju.".

Juju immediately swallows the food and smiles. Promptly she gets up. Juju is very respectful and attentive to her fans. She is genuine.

"Mark, Do you have your cell phone?" she said.

Mark takes his cell phone out of his pocket: "It's here.".

Waiter takes a selfie of him and Juju together. He, smiling, says: "Thanks. My boyfriend is going to love it, he won't even believe it. You are incredible Juju.".

Juju, smiling to waiter: "Wait, please...hold on... excuse me, Mark".

The waiter hands his cell phone to Juju who this time, instead of a photo, starts filming the two of them.

Juju, filming: "I'm here with Mark, he was very friendly and I also take the opportunity to send you a hug.".

Juju continues filming, but she looks at Mark: "What's your boyfriend's name?".

Mark says to Juju: "Arthur... his name is Arthur, my chic king!".

Juju keeps filming: "So a big hug and kiss to you, Arthur. I don't know you, but both of you must make a beautiful couple. Goodnight.".

Peter watches seriously, a little jealous.

Juju hands the cell phone to Mark who is flabbergasted, frozen, in a trance, doesn't know what to say.

Mark finally speaks: "Oh my God, I'm done. I don't even know what to say. You are very friendly.".

"Thanks." Juju said.

"You're very, very charismatic. And I knew you were like that in real life too, I knew it. Thanks, Juju...I love you. Have a nice dinner!".

"Thanks. Oh, yes... Karen will be here soon.".

Mark says: "Serious?".

"Yes, of course." Juju said.

"Wow, that's great. Would she mind taking a picture?".

"No problem. She would like it, I'll tell her about you, Mark, so she'll be warned, okay.".

Mark shaking, he is very happy; "My God, I've zeroed out my life now, hello. Have a nice dinner, babe.".

Waiter, smiling, tries to walk, but as he is shaking a lot, he drops the tray on the floor. He keeps smiling. Juju takes the tray and gives it to Mark.

Juju and Peter have dinner. But Juju's cell phone rings (or vibrates), she reads the message (in a low voice), there are her best friends, Karen and Rikki.

Juju to Peter: "They are Karen and Rikki. Already so at the entrance, so almost here.".

Peter says: "I was thinking it was just me and you.".

Juju, politely to Peter: "Baby, I told you it was dinner with friends, you knew it.".

Peter is very serious, frowning. He doesn't say anything, but chews angrily.

Juju continues: "I told you to call a friend.".

"I called Brian, but he said he was busy.".

They go back to eating.

After a few seconds, Juju's friends sit down at the table.

Juju raises her hand and calls the waiter Mark again and also introduces him to Karen who her boyfriend is a fan of. Karen, also very polite, quickly gets up and starts talking to the waiter, this time the waiter stands in the middle of Karen and Juju. Karen blows a hug and a kiss to the waiter's boyfriend.

Peter observes the scene, again, serious, embarrassed and jealous.

Rikki is looking at the menu, her concern is if there is vegetarian food.

Rikki to Mark, the waiter: "Sorry to get in the way, Mark, but please, do you have vegetarian food?".

Promptly, Mark turns his attention to Rikki.

"No problem, I'm here for it." he said.

The waiter shows on the menu where the vegetarian food is. "Here.".

"Thanks" Rikki said.

Now it's time for a little introduction. A few years ago, when Juju was a child, around 10 years old, she took dance classes, ballet, there was another girl, a friend of Juju called Marie.

Juju, 10 and Marie, 10, take dance classes among several other girls. Juju is the one who stands out the most and Marie is the clumsiest. Juju is always getting a lot of applause while Marie gets boos. But Marie is always close to Juju, when they are together, rehearsing some choreography, for example, Marie is always smiling and even hugs Juju, but when Juju is not watching, Marie makes a face of envy and anger. That is, from the front, she applauds Juju, but behind her back she grimaces and even curses her "friend".

An important fact, Marie will always carry a mirror with her, as she is very vain.

There are several people always praising Juju and saying that Manu will never be as beautiful or as talented as Juju.

Marie, hidden, listens the conversation of two dance teachers.

One teacher says: "Juju is really the best of them all! She is so hardworking and naturally charismatic!".

The first teacher, laughing, talks again: "And this poor Marie will never have the talent or the beauty of Juju.".

The other teacher replies again: "True, she doesn't have a chance. There are people who were born to shine and others to stay in the shadow of those who shine. But don't tell anyone that. Marie is still in the development phase, but she really is weird, too nervous.".

The other teacher completes: "I agree, Juju is like a movie star... but Marie is just a weird extra.".

The teachers don't see that Marie is nearby and overheard the conversation, because their backs are turned. Marie pulls away from them a little, but a tear falls from her cheek.

At another time, with the theater full of people, Juju dances and receives a standing ovation from everyone, including her parents. Carl (eleven years younger, therefore 39 years old), is carrying a dark bottle (without being able to know what the contents are inside), Ana his wife (also eleven years younger, therefore 34 years old), looks seriously at the bottle and then at him.

Carl says: "What was it, woman? Your face... It's water here. I brought water with me.".

Ana still has a serious face. They applaud Juju.

It's time for Marie's performance, and she looks sadly at the audience.

Juju to Marie: "Good luck... What's going on, Marie?... Didn't your parents come again?

Marie to Juju: "No, Juju, they don't even care about me. You are my muse, my inspiration.".

Juju hugs Marie. Juju is genuine. "It's going to be all right. Have a good presentation, Marie... try to focus on your part.".

Marie says: "Thank you... My performance will be the best. Pay attention.".

Marie, alone, enters the stage.

But at a certain point in her performance, Marie ends up falling and hurting herself, she also breaks a part of her shoe, then she leaves crying and holding the broken shoe. Juju tries to hug her, to help her but Marie, very sad and angry, leaves the place.

The next day, in the afternoon, Juju, Karen, and Rikki are in the girls residence (where Rikki, Karen, and Marie live).

Juju and Karen are looking at some clothes and there are also some fabrics, cloths, scissors and a sewing machine on the table. Karen, wearing a very nice hat, is holding a tape measure and talking to Juju who puts some clothes in front of her body.

Rikki is close to them, but she's sitting and studying law, reading a book, lawyer book. There are a lot of really big and thick books on Rikki's side, there are also some college exams already solved that have a 10 or high grade. That is, Rikki got practically a ten in all the tests, she is very intelligent.

Suddenly, 21-year-old Marie enters the residence and one of the first things she does upon entering is to notice and compliment the hat of Karen.

Marie says: "I loved your hat, Karen!".

Karen replies: "Okay, Mad Marie...I mean thanks, Marie... And thanks for the huge mirror that you brought and gave to our residence.".

Marie, smiling: "I love mirrors, Karen.".

"I know it." Karen said.

Soon after, Marie, with a cell phone in her hand, makes a point of saying out loud that she has gained more followers on some social network.

Marie, smiling: "I have gained more than 50k followers(50 thousand) in the last 3 days.

Juju congratulates Marie. "Cheers, Marie.".

Marie says: "Thanks. You are my inspiration, Juju. One day, I'll be as popular as you.".

Juju is honest and charismatic in her conversation with Marie, though Marie is cynical, fake, because Marie has jealous of Juju.

Peter and Brian enter the residence. Peter and Juju have a quick argument.

Peter says: "Juju, honey, I thought we gotta go to the mall, shopping mall, today.".

Rikki to Peter: "Good evening too, Peter.".

Juju says: "Baby, I forgot it. I'm so busy here that I didn't even see the time go by.".

Peter to Juju: "Juju, but you wanted it. Why Karen and Rikki deserve your attention more than I do?".

Brian, 21 and Marie just watch the couple's argument closely.

Karen tells Peter: "Hold on, Peter. Take it easy, boy. We're working here!".

Juju to Karen: "I used to go to the mall to see those clothes I told you about. But since it wasn't urgent, I ended up forgetting about it.".

Karen to Juju: "No problem, babe. It was more worthwhile for you here with us. The three friends since high school. Me, you and Rikki!".

Rikki to Juju: "I think so too. Karen and I love your company.".

Rikki quickly gives Marie a look, who flashes a fake smile.

Peter says: "Okay, Juju. Stay with them, then we'll see each other another time. I love you.".

"Okay. I'm going out with Brian... go for a walk, to have something to eat. Do you want a snack, Juju?

"No, thanks. I'm kind of busy... I'm gonna eat something later.".

Peter kisses Juju.

After some hours, Brian and Peter are at a small party at the house of an acquaintance of theirs.

Peter is still sad about the discussion with Juju.

Peter confused: "Oh Brian, did I think we were going to have something to eat? There's only booze here.".

Brian to Peter: "Relax, friend, I saw that Juju made you upset, I decided to bring you here, brother. Let's drink to forget.".

Bruno goes to get Peter a drink.

They drink. Peter raps crudely about drinking.

Peter trying to rhyme: "We're here in this cold, me and my brother Brian, we hold and reload... I'm tired of this life, but I want more booze even those are not cold. I won't lose, today I just want more booze.".

Brian goes to get more drinks. Peter drinks more. Peter drinks too much more than Brian, because when Brian goes to get a drink, he puts some alcoholic beverage in Peter's glass and in his glass he puts water or soda or something non-alcoholic.

Soon, Peter gets very drunk and Brian, much more sober, begins, mischievously, to praise the beauty of some of the women at the party.

Brian to Peter: "Look at that girl, what a pretty babe!".

Brian 'pulls' two girls, he gets one and Peter gets another.
