Sukuna X Vessel! Reader
Pt1
When (y/n) became sukuna's vessel-
You had always kept your feelings for Yuji hidden, admiring him from afar. His bravery, kindness, and the way he carried the burden of being Sukuna's vessel—it all drew you in. But when you joined him and Megumi on this mission, the last thing you expected was that your hidden feelings would lead to something so reckless.
The cursed spirit was stronger than expected, and in the chaos of the fight, Yuji managed to grab Sukuna's finger. The cursed object throbbed with dark energy, and as Yuji battled the spirit, it slipped from his grasp. Time seemed to slow as the grotesque finger tumbled to the ground, rolling to a stop at Yuji's feet.
You knew what Yuji was going to do. Without a second thought, he reached down to grab the finger, determined to consume it and harness its cursed energy. But you couldn't let him do it. You couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to him.
Before you even realized what you were doing, you dove forward, snatching the finger from the ground. Without a moment's hesitation, you swallowed it whole.
The bitter, vile taste of the cursed object coated your tongue, and the surge of cursed energy that followed was instant and overwhelming. Your body convulsed, collapsing under the weight of the immense power now coursing through you. Pain erupted in every nerve, as if your entire being was on fire.
Yuji's voice broke through the haze of agony, shouting your name in panic, but it was drowned out by something far more terrifying—a voice, cold and furious, echoing in your mind.
"What... is this?" Sukuna's voice was a growl, laced with anger and disbelief. "You? You dare consume my power? You're not even a sorcerer!"
His rage was palpable, a dark force pressing down on you from within. Sukuna's presence was overwhelming, but despite the intense pain, you were still conscious. You could feel him probing, testing the limits of your body, and his anger only grew when he realized the truth.
"This vessel... It's pathetic," he snarled. "You're not powerful enough to handle my cursed energy, and yet... you're not weak enough to die from it. How utterly infuriating."
Your entire body trembled as Sukuna's energy continued to surge through you, but somehow, you held on. The darkness crept at the edges of your vision, but you refused to give in. You had done this to protect Yuji, and even as Sukuna raged within you, that thought gave you the strength to stay conscious.
"You've made a grave mistake, girl," Sukuna hissed, his voice like venom in your mind. "I'll make you regret this."
As the pain became too much, the world around you faded to black, but Sukuna's fury was the last thing you heard before losing consciousness.
When you woke up in the infirmary, the first thing you saw was Yuji sitting beside your bed, his face pale with worry. Despite the lingering pain and the heaviness of Sukuna's presence within you, a warmth blossomed in your chest at the sight of him. He was here. He cared.
"Why did you do that?" Yuji's voice was rough with emotion, and the concern in his eyes made your heart swell. You had risked everything for him, and even now, you didn't regret it.
"I didn't want you to get hurt," you whispered, your voice weak. "I just wanted to protect you."
Yuji's expression tightened with guilt, and he looked away, his fists clenched. "You shouldn't have had to protect me. It should've been me. I was supposed to handle it."
"But... you weren't supposed to eat it, Yuji," you replied softly. Despite everything, seeing the way he cared about you made it all seem worth it. "I couldn't let you do it."
As your heart swelled with unspoken feelings, a cold, mocking voice cut through your thoughts, sending a shiver down your spine.
"Oh, how pathetic," Sukuna sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "This is why you're weak. You risked everything for some foolish crush? How adorable. And utterly stupid."
You winced, pressing your hand to your head as Sukuna's presence flared, his disdain almost tangible. "Shut up," you muttered, but Sukuna only laughed, a dark and menacing sound that echoed in your mind.
"You think this boy cares about you?" Sukuna's voice was full of malice. "He feels guilty, that's all. And now you've trapped me in this weak vessel. You're nothing but a foolish girl, and I will make you suffer for it."
Despite Sukuna's cruel words, your heart fluttered when Yuji gently placed his hand on your shoulder. "I'm so sorry," he said, his voice thick with regret. "You shouldn't have had to go through that."
For a moment, Sukuna's taunts faded into the background, overpowered by the warmth of Yuji's concern. But you knew it wouldn't last. Sukuna was there, lurking, waiting for his chance to take control, and he would never let you forget how much he despised your weakness.
Some time passes, not long after, we were set in another mission, and you ended up back in the infirmary...
The infirmary room was dimly lit, casting soft shadows across the sterile walls. You had managed to rest somewhat, though Sukuna's presence within you was relentless, a dark cloud ever-hovering. Yuji had left for a while he was pretty bruised up but was stable enough to leave on his own, giving you a brief moment of solitude.
As you lay there, struggling to shake off the lingering exhaustion and pain, Sukuna's voice suddenly filled your mind, more intense than before.
"Oh, how delightful," Sukuna's voice dripped with malice. "Another opportunity to mock your pathetic existence."
You winced, trying to ignore him, but his presence was too invasive. "Leave me alone, Sukuna," you murmured, though you knew it was futile.
"Ah, but I find this particularly amusing," he continued, his voice taking on a sharper edge. "The way you look at him. The way you foolishly believe he cares for you. It's sickening."
You felt a cold shiver run down your spine as Sukuna's dark energy pulsed around you, making the room feel colder, more oppressive. His jealousy was palpable, a dark, consuming force. "He does care," you said quietly, trying to muster some strength despite your weakened state.
"Care?" Sukuna's voice was a harsh laugh. "Like I said before he's just feeling guilty, nothing more. And you think he will save you from my wrath? How naive. You've brought this upon yourself, and it's laughable how you cling to such childish notions."
The anger in Sukuna's voice was sharp, cutting through the dim room like a knife. You could almost feel his frustration emanating from within you. He hated the fact that your attention, your feelings, were diverted toward Yuji rather than focusing on the reality of your situation with him.
A dark presence seemed to envelop you, and then, a sudden, intense surge of cursed energy pressed down on you. It wasn't physical, but it was suffocating, as if Sukuna was trying to assert his dominance over your very essence.
"You think you can protect him?" Sukuna's voice was a low growl. "You're weak. A vessel not even worthy of my power. Yet you dare to entertain thoughts of love and heroism. How quaint."
You clenched your fists, trying to push back against the pressure. "I did it because I care about him," you said, your voice trembling. "It wasn't about you. It was about him."
Sukuna's presence seemed to flare in anger, a storm of cursed energy swirling violently. "You think your feelings for him make you strong?" he sneered. "They make you weak, vulnerable. And now, you're stuck with me because of your foolish actions. Don't you see? He'll never care about you the way you want him to. I'm the one who will always be here, tormenting you."
In the suffocating silence that followed, the intensity of Sukuna's emotions was almost tangible. His jealousy was raw, a deep-seated anger that you were forced to endure. Yet, as his presence loomed over you, a small part of you clung to the hope that Yuji's feelings might be more than just guilt.
A faint sound of the door opening interrupted the moment, and Yuji's voice called out softly, "Hey, are you okay?"
Sukuna's presence momentarily receded, a shadow slipping away as Yuji stepped into the room. The warmth of his concern cut through the darkness, offering you a fleeting respite from Sukuna's oppressive grip.
Yuji's eyes softened as he looked at you. "I brought you something to eat. You need to get your strength back."
Despite the heaviness of Sukuna's presence still lingering in your mind, you felt a spark of relief. Yuji's care, however conflicted by Sukuna's rage, was a beacon of hope.
Sukuna's voice returned, a harsh whisper in the back of your mind. "Enjoy this fleeting moment. It will not last. You are mine now, and your foolish infatuation will only make your suffering all the more enjoyable."
As Yuji sat by your side, the contrast between his warmth and Sukuna's malevolence was stark. The room felt a little brighter, but Sukuna's dark influence was never far, reminding you that while your feelings for Yuji might be a source of strength, they were also a source of conflict and pain.
Present day,
You have trained yourself to be stronger and more able to keep sukuna at bay, not much of his treatment towards you has changed
He's still nasty, and mean of course.
But he's developing a severe case of jealousy towards yuji. It's all you think about and dream about. It really makes him sick. To him it makes you look weak that all of your moves and motives revolve around a boy who doesn't even know.
It had been several hours since Sukuna last spoke to you, and the silence was starting to feel oppressive. Though his presence was always there, his voice was absent, which was both a relief and a worry.
As you stared up at the ceiling, you couldn't shake the feeling that Sukuna's silence was more than just a reprieve from his usual cruelty. You wanted to understand why he was so quiet, why his usual taunts and disdain seemed to have faded. It wasn't that you didn't mind the break, but his silence only made you more aware of his underlying hostility.
"Why have you been so quiet?" you finally asked aloud, your voice trembling slightly. "It's not that I don't mind the break, but... I can't help but feel that you're just waiting for the right moment to strike."
There was a long pause, and then Sukuna's voice emerged, low and dangerously calm. "You think I'm waiting for the right moment? Perhaps I'm just amused by your naïveté."
You shifted uncomfortably, feeling the familiar cold presence of Sukuna in your mind. "Amused? It feels more like you're brooding or something. Is it because of Yuji?"
The mention of Yuji seemed to stir something within Sukuna, and his presence shifted, becoming more intense. "you're still fixated on him," Sukuna's voice was laced with bitterness. "Your infatuation is almost as entertaining as it is pathetic."
You flinched at his harsh tone, but you pressed on, determined to understand what was really going on. "I can feel your anger whenever I think about him. It's like you're constantly seething whenever his name comes up. Why?"
There was a noticeable shift in Sukuna's tone, a harsh edge that hinted at deeper emotions. "Why? Because it's infuriating to me that you waste your thoughts on him," Sukuna growled. "You should be focused on the reality of your situation. You're my vessel, yet you cling to thoughts of that boy. It's both insulting and irritating."
His jealousy was almost palpable, a dark wave of emotion that crashed over you. "You're jealous," you said quietly almost amused that this guy, the king of curses, was jealous of a human boy. "Jealous that I think about him instead of you."
Sukuna's anger flared, and his presence seemed to grow darker, more oppressive. "Jealous? Perhaps. But more than that, it's about respect. I am the one who has taken you in, given you power beyond your wildest dreams, and yet you still think of him. It's a constant reminder of how insignificant you are in my eyes."
You could feel Sukuna's frustration, his hatred towards Yuji and his jealousy over your thoughts. It was clear that his pride was deeply wounded by your feelings for Yuji. The more you thought about Yuji, the more Sukuna seemed to resent it, and his silence only masked his simmering rage.
"Why does it matter so much to you?" you asked, your voice breaking slightly. "Why does it bother you that I care about him?"
Sukuna's presence seemed to press down on you, heavy and suffocating. "Because it's a constant reminder that you are not solely mine. Your thoughts, your feelings—they are divided. And that division makes you weak. It's an affront to my power, and I won't tolerate it."
The silence that followed was thick with unspoken tensions. You could feel Sukuna's anger and jealousy radiating from him, an undercurrent of resentment that made the air feel heavy. Despite his cruel words, a part of you still clung to the hope that Yuji's feelings were genuine, that there was something worth fighting for.
As you lay there, you realized that Sukuna's silence was a form of his own struggle, a reflection of his jealousy and pride. It wasn't just about his hatred for Yuji—it was about his inability to accept that you could care for someone else.
You turned your gaze to the window, the dim light of the setting sun casting a soft glow in the room. "I'm sorry if my feelings for Yuji bother you," you said quietly. "But they're a part of me, just like you are."
Sukuna's voice was a cold whisper in the back of your mind. "You'll find out soon enough how foolish you are. For now, enjoy your fleeting moments of peace. They won't last."
As his presence receded slightly, you were left with a mixture of relief and sadness. Sukuna's jealousy and hatred were a constant reminder of the complex web of emotions you were caught in, but Yuji's concern and care remained a beacon of hope, even amidst the darkness.
