Dev avoided Samaira rest of the afternoon and locked himself in his office. Samaira felt bad for putting him in the precarious situation at the restaurant. She realized that if she wanted her 'superhero' to become hers, she would have to try a gentler approach; become his confidant, rather than confront him. Samaira walked towards his cabin to apologize, but turned around and left when she saw the door locked.

A dejected Samaira went back home. Her friends invited her to join them to watch the first one-day between India and Australia on Rahul's new large screen TV. "Nahin aaj mood nahin hai," she declined the offer to the surprise of her buddies. "Lagta hai Samaira apna naya job bahut seriously le rahi hai," Rahul commented as he hung up.

Samaira was unusually quiet at home; she went to her room and lay on her bed with her eyes closed. She was normally a very resilient and carefree girl, but Dev's snub had hurt her like no one ever had.

Sonakshi entered their room and was surprised to see Samaira 'sleeping' in the middle of the afternoon.

Sonakshi had been carrying her mobile in her hand all day, in anticipation of a call from Rehaan.

"Sonakshi!" Asha entered the room with some clothes in her hand, "zara yeh kapde oopar terrace par sukha de beta.....arre Samaira aa gayi wapas? Lagta hai thak gayi.....so rahi hai bechari......kaam ki aadat nahin hai na." Sonakshi giggled at her mom's comment; she whispered, "aur wo bhi Sunday ko mamma.....lao main kapde sukha deti hoon," she took the clothes from her mom and placed her mobile on her bed.

After Sonakshi left, Samaira got up and looked around for Rehaan's CD, "kahan rakh diya maine wo CD? Uska song sun leti toh shayad mann halka ho jaata....uffo....I am so forgetful." Samaira was of course unaware, that Rehaan's CD was tucked in safely between Sonakshi's clothes in her closet.

As she searched around for the CD, Sonakshi's mobile went off several times. Samaira ignored it the first few times, but could not resist picking it after the 3rd call, "Hello.....main Samaira bol rahi hoon."

"Hi Samaira....main Rehaan," a husky voice at the other end left Samaira in a daze.

Samaira's head was spinning; so her superhero was actually calling her, but why did he call Sonakshi's cell phone? "OH....I am so stupid.....of course he thinks I am Sonakshi....I am sure he must have called home and asked for Sonakshi's cell....and he knows my real name too! He knows I am Samaira!.....Of course superheroes know everything.....he probably likes the fact that I use another name just like he does......toh world ke saamne hum Dev aur Sonakshi hain, par apni life mein hum Rehaan aur Samaira hain," she danced around in joy.

"Hi," Samaira said softly and shut her bedroom door.

"I am sorry for what happened," Rehaan was referring to the kissing incident on the beach, as he later realized that a girl like Sonakshi must have been stunned by his daring act....what could he do?.....She had driven him crazy and her song had been so inviting.

Samaira smiled and thought, "I am so glad that you realized your mistake," she was referring to his yelling after the restaurant incident. "Koi baat nahin," she replied softly.

"I want to meet you Samaira," Rehaan said huskily.

"Even I want to meet you," Samaira bit her lip and blushed.

"How about Starry Nights...it is a disco place in...." Rehaan was about to tell her the location, when Samaira interrupted, "I know where it is.....I have been there several times."

Rehaan was pleasantly surprised- his touch- me- not, shy girl had been to the hottest disco in town...wow....kya chupi rustam hai!

"At what time?" Samaira asked

"10' o clock.....after dinner....I will drop you back home by midnight....promise der nahin hogi," Rehaan smiled; he was expecting her to say 'no'- this was easier than he anticipated- "iska matlab wo bhi mere liye utni hi restless hai, jitna main uske liye hoon," Rehaan continued, "can I pick you up too?"

Samaira was thrilled- she had visions of her and Rehaan flying in the air like superheroes flew with their girlfriends, "sure...I will be ready! Aapko hamara address yaad hai?" Samaira remembered that Dev had come to their place once as a prospective groom for Sonakshi, but he was with his parents and may not recall their address.

"Jahan mera dil ho, us jagah ka address main kaise bhool sakta hoon?.....See you....I can't wait Samaira....ab tumse thodi bhi doori sahi nahin jaati," Rehaan said romantically.

Samaira was floored; she could not believe that Dev was actually that crazy about her. She hung up and kissed the phone, "OH Dev.....I mean Rehaan.....no actually Dev.....you are the best!"

Sonakshi came back and found Samaira in a jubilant mood, "Samaira....tu toh so rahi thi na?"

Samaira hugged her sister, "ab jag gayi hoon!" and twirled around in the room.

"Itni khush kyon hai? Kya tera khadoos boss tujh se khush ho gaya?" Sonakshi picked her phone and scrolled down for any missed calls. She was disappointed to see none.

"Yahi samjho.....waise toh bahut naaraaz tha mujhse aaj, par abhi phone karke apologise kiya aur mujheyshaam ko bahar bhi le jaa rahai hai," Samaira kissed Sonakshi's cheek.

"Really? Wow.....he must be really sorry," Sonakshi kissed her back, "it means he is a nice person.....uska saath mat chhod na."

"Nahin chhodungi.....ab toh kabhi nahin chhodungi," Samaira said dreamily and was lost in her own thoughts. Sonakshi just shook her head and went out to help her mom in the kitchen, "Samaira bhi na....bilkul pagal hai," she said to herself.

AT 10 PM:

Samaira, dressed in a beautiful blue knee length dress, stepped out of their apartment. Sonakshi knew she was going out on a 'date' with her boss, but Asha and Bijoy were told that Samaira was going out with her friends to celebrate Shruti's ( a good friend of Samaira) birthday!

Rehaan was waiting in his car downstairs. Samaira was pleasantly surprised and thought, 'Dev....tumne apni car bhi badal li? Wow....sports car....goes well with your image Rehaan." Dev drove a simple Honda, but Rehaan had a jazzy red sports car!

He came out of his car and was blown away to see his demure and shy girl dressed in a sexy western outfit. She looked even more desirable tonight. It was a little dark, so he could not see her eyes and face properly; he gave her a kiss on the cheek, "you look beautiful tonight."

Samaira lowered her eyes and blushed, "itne andhere mein bhi aap yeh keh sakte hain?"

"Mujhey tumhey dekhne ke liye light ki zaroorat nahin hai Samaira.....I can always feel your presence," Rehaan squeezed her hands and helped her into his car.

Samaira was impressed to see how Dev had really transformed himself into this dashing, cool, confidant pop star within a few hours. His thick stubble and dark glasses made him look so handsome and manly- not that he was not handsome as Dev....but Rehaan had a different charm altogether!!'

AT THE STARRY NIGHTS CLUB:

The club was a crowded place that night, as Rehaan was supposed to sing there tonight. Rehaan and Samaira were greeted by the security personnel and safely taken inside to a quiet corner. The loud music and dark ambience made them a little oblivious in the corner.
Rehaan settled on a couch and pulled Samaira next to him, "let's eat something.....what will you have?" he flipped through the menu.

"Jo bhi aap lenge, main khaa loongi...I would not mind vegetarian tonight," she said.

"Ghaas-phoos? Are you crazy Samaira....let's order some chicken wings.....I have to eat my meat and chicken.....kya tum vegetarian ho?" Rehaan asked.

"Of course NOT!" Samaira was really amazed now- "toh din mein Dev Sir seedhe saadhe mommy's boy bane rehte hain......vegetarian, no drinking.....aur ab dekho!" Rehaan ordered a beer for himself, "how about you Samaira? What will you have?"

"I will have a coke," Samaira said politely. Rehaan smiled at Samaira, "how about some wine or wine cooler?"

"Not tonight....ghar bhi toh jaana hai!" she said mischievously.

Rehaan was really surprised to see Samaira so outspoken, confident and daring that night. He was happy for her, but somewhere deep inside he missed his shy and reserved girl. He thought, "ho sakta hai kiss ke baad iski real personality dekhne ko mil rahi hai.....so she is not as shy as she pretends to be."

Rehaan took the liberty of snuggling close to her; he put his arm around her and said, "so did you miss me?"

Samaira rested her head on his broad shoulder, "of course I did....l can't bear to to stay away from you"

Rehaan was really tickled to see his 'Samaira' flirting with him so openly. He thought, "Looks she has become frank with me because I have confessed my love..ab bas Samaira ko confess karna hai that she loves me too."

"Hey Rehaan!" a man came up to them, "aaj Iqbal nahin aaya?"

"Nahin Iqbal ko aise shows pasand nahin hain....he just takes care of the business but stays out of my business," Rehaan laughed and shook hands with the man, "Samaira.....meet him....he is Raj....the owner of this club."

"Hi Samaira!" Raj extended his hand

"Hi!" Samaira shook his hand confidently. Rehaan was amused to see that Samaira was not hesitant in shaking another man's hand at all tonight.....he remembered how fearful she was when Rehaan had first held her hand.

"Ok Rehaan....everyone wants you to sing now....koi jaandaar gaana ho jaaye!" Raj punched Rehaan's arm.

"Sure!" Rehaan turned around and looked at Samaira, "this one is for you my dear!" Samaira smiled and blew a kiss at him. Rehaan was really stunned, but smiled back and nodded his head. He picked a guitar from the corner and walked towards the dance floor.

As soon as he strummed his guitar, there was a pin drop silence in the club.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Today's song is dedicated to that girl who has stolen my heart!! There you go!"

There was a loud applause amongst the crowd; Samaira blushed profusely- she had no idea Dev was that crazy about her.......

As he finished the song, Rehaan came close to Samaira and looked into her eyes as he always did. There was something different about the eyes tonight......he could not tell what it was, but she was not the Samaira he was used to seeing.....she doesn't have that shine and depth today......aisa kya ho gaya aaj? I can't find those eyes in which I wanted to drown myself....aaj itni alag alag si kyon lag rahi hain?

So Samaira went out on a date with Rehaan thinking him to be 'Dev' (in fact, she thinks both of them to be the same person....just like a superhero) whereas Rehaan thought her to be Samaira he is in love with.....who is actually Sonakshi😂😂
