I had decides to go home before any of the drama happened. I had no idea what had happened.

"Hey...what are you doing out so late?" I heard Flight come behind me on the balcony.
"Oh..uh, actually I like it here" I lied.
"Really? Belle and I always come here at this time. It's our special place. But, are you sure that's why you're here?" Flight asked.

"Well, no. I found out. About the whole thing..." I shamefully said.
"I already knew. It's fine as long as you don't tell anyone else. I came up here to ask you something." He said.

"And what's that?" I asked.
"Do you know about vampires and what they do?" Flight asked.
"Kind of I guess..." I answered.
"Night Home for Vampires is where I bring Speed every night. Since he is a vampire, he has to go there. There's at least two vampires from every school and during the day they go back. Only the headmasters know about this. Speed was always a vampire he just found out he was one in his second year of training." Flight explained.

"Oh, why does Speed hate himself so much?" I asked.
"Speed wishes he weren't a vampire. He hates himself for knowing what he does. Especially when he does it and realizes after it's done. He just wants to be a normal human. Shadow and Speed aren't the best of friends either so that isn't much helpful at all. And to make things worse they're partners." Flight replied.

"Partners? What does that mean?" I asked.
"It's kind of a nasty thing...but it's the only way for them to stay alive...each vampire has a partner and an agent. The agent helps them not to kill anyone and their partner has to be with them at all times. The partners are used for trading blood I guess...it's not pleasant... what they do is when one is hungry they take the other's blood and when the other is hungry...yea.." Flight gagged.

"Wow. That's... very... different. But that's a smart way of staying alive I guess." I sighed.
"You should go to bed now, but since it's much too late to go back you'll have to sleep with Flake." Flight directed me to her room.

"Good night." He said.

"So, where's Dash?" Strike asked as Shadow walked out.
"He'll be out soon. Don't bother him. He needs time, where did the others go?" Shadow asked.
"Delta and the others had to go to their dorms." Strike said.
"Ok, where's Speed. Apparently I'm supposed to be his new partner." Shadow grumbled.
"Tell me about it" Speed said walking behind Shadow.

"Well I'd better go now. See ya" Strike said and left.

"So...what do we do now?" Speed asked.
"We wait." Shadow answered.
"Uh, for what? I'm kind of hungry...." Speed blushed.
"Fine. Let's go. But don't be to long and don't take too much I still need some of it to live." Shadow laughed a little.

"Valley? Are you ok? Please answer...you can't be over....this is not over....it's not your time yet..." Dash whispered.
He touched her cold skin. It had become cold and pale.
He touched her hair. It no longer had the smooth, soft, nice feeing as it did before. Her cheeks were not as bright as before and her mouth hung motionlessly.

Well...there is one thing I can do....I want to be with you....if I tried...I could..join you...somehow....
