"Hey, guys? Did you hear that? It sounded like Dash."Strike said as he walked from behind.
" Yea, let's go see." Ash answered and turned around the corner. All of the other followed behind.

They reached the room they heard the scream from.
"Here. Go inside, I'm not risking it." Ray said.
"I'll go in with Ash." Delta replied.

They opened the door and saw Dash holding Valley in his arms closely and bending over her. Valley was pressed against his chest and lay there while Dash lovingly touched her cheek.

"What...the...Dash? What happened to Valley?" Delta asked.
"Go...away..leave us alone." Dash whispered softly.
"Hey...you can tell us.." Delta put her hands together.

Shadow walked in.
"Leave it to me. Go" She ordered.
They nodded their heads and left her with him.
"Look, Dash, I've got two ears and you've got a mouth. I'm not making you tell me what happened I'm just saying it'd be better. I might not be able to help you but I can listen." Shadow said still looking down like always.

"Ok...I..I think..I" Dash started.
"Stop. This is hard for you to say. I know what you did. It happens. The consequences are harsh. For this, I'm afraid... She might not...make it." Shadow said.

"NO! Don't say that! Please don't say that! She has to make it! She just has to! I can't live without her! She....she's my...everything... I couldn't go on living like this...please tell me she'll make it..." Dash cried.
"I..wish I could...but...it's not my decision. Whether she makes it or not, that depends on her. There's one thing you don't know, Dash." Shadow said.
"Oh, and you know?" Dash answered.
"Yes. I know everything about vampires and their history. I am not an ordinary vampire, Dash. I happen to be one of the 7 vampires who are born with the knowledge of the heritage. So I'll tell you." Shadow answered.

"Go on." Dash stroked Valley's hair.
"But you have to promise not to tell anyone. Vampires in this dimension have a choice. That choice is whether they want to die or live longer. If a vampire has most of their brain,they choose to die." Shadow replied.
"Die? Why would they want to die when they could live and see their friends and family?" Dash asked.

"Because when you choose to be alive again you stay alive forever. And you cannot die ever again, you are immortal. And when your friends die you don't see them ever again." Shadow explained.
"But, what if the choose to stay alive?" Dash asked.
"That would make it worse. All vampires do not want to see what lies ahead in the future." Shadow shivered.
"I want to see what's in the future." Dash said.

"You're more stupid then you look. I already said no one wants to see the future, trust me. Anything else you want to know?" Shadow asked.

"Where do the dead vampires go?" Dash asked.
"Oh...Umm....I-I-I can't tell you that...I'm sorry." Shadow said.
"Why not?" Dash questioned.
"I said I can't. I'll leave you here for a while, when you feel you're ready to see the others you can bring her with you. I have to go. Old man said I have to see my new partner.

" Ok...bye" Dash said.
