Chapter 1: Spider-Man, Agent of SHIELD

Tales have scattered and loved through time and space. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains with such incredible strengths and abilities. Good vs. Evil and Light vs. Darkness have been in a constant battle across the multiverse. Let's begin with this tale of this incredible young man.

[Brooklyn, New York City: 8:40 PM]

The cars had come and go on the streets. Just on the other side of the street, there was a black limousine roaming around. Inside it, there was a bald and an overweight middle aged man sitting at the back with his henchmen dressed in black. He was smoking a cigar and smiling.

Just then, the limousine parked at a convenience store where the bald man and his fellows had left the vehicle. They entered the establishment as the elderly store keeper got startled to see them. He raised both of his hands in fear. One of the henchmen pointed his gun at the elderly man.

" P-please! Just take my items and leave! " he exclaimed in fear.

" Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh, calm down, we're not here for your damn stuff, " the bald man emotionlessly spoke and turned to his henchmen. " Grab the money from the cash register and the vault. "

" No, not my money! "

The henchmen quickly grabbed the cash register and picked up the money into the brown bag. The others just held their wrench and began dismantling the vault.

The elderly store keeper helplessly watched the intruders  stealing his money. As another henchman looked around he saw a masked man reading a comic book  and picked up his swiss army blade, pointing at the costumed one's back.

" Alright kid, put your hands where I can see 'em! " he exclaimed.

The young man with dressed in red and blue spandex suit with web like trimmings ignored the henchmen behind him and continued reading his comic book.

" Hey, I said hands in the air! You got a death wish or something!? "

He went over to the costumed one and turned him around. The henchman got startled to see Spider-Man who lowered down his comic book.

" Yes? " Spidey curiously spoke.

" I said, put your hands in the air, now, Spidey! "

" Are you... robbing me? "

" Yes! "

" Ooohhh..." the costumed one grinned inside his mask and had his right hand ready with his pinky, index, and thumb.

The bald man named Kingpin was waiting for his men to finish stealing the money when a "Hey!" and "Hyah!" were heard, and the threatening henchman covered with fibrous web flew past him. Kingpin calmly motioned for another to handle Spider-Man.

The other henchman had come to take down Spider-Man and pointed his pistol, " Freeze! "

Cut to outside the shop, when the henchman and Spider-Man crashed through the window. The other men looked outside as Spidey got up and readied to release his web slingers. Kingpin scowled, but Spidey stood in a defensive stance.

" Okayyy....Get...HIM!! "

The henchmen headed out of the shop and ran at Spidey who leapt from the ground and kicked the first approaching criminal in the face. Then, the web crawler was running away as he was being chased. The bullets fired off to strike him down. He quickly dodged away by leaping and found a wall where he could stick himself for a while. The henchmen found him, but Spidey released his web slingers and brought down on one attacker and then another. Then, his web slingers knocked down and trapped the remaining henchmen.

" You were worth every cent. Truly, you were, " Kingpin seriously said and glared at Spider-Man, dropping his cigar and crushing it with his cane as approaching police sirens were heard. " You know, Spider? I think we could say this is a helluva evening. I really wish to stick around like you do. "He picked up his pistol from his jacket, pointing at his opponent. " I'm afraid this is where we part ways for good..."

Kingpin fired a bullet when Spider-Man quickly jumped out of the wall and released his web slingers to grab a light pole. He went slinging and squatted on the top of the light pole. Then, he targetted Kingpin. The bald man's pistol fell down and covered with some fibrous strings. He angrily gritted his teeth and ran away. Then, he started climbing up a ladder on a nearby building.

" Hey, mister. You want me to go after him? " Spider-Man asked the elderly store keeper.

" Uh...huh..."

" Okay..." he nodded and set-off.  " See ya...around!! "

Kingpin made it to the roof when a fibrous web got attached into the edge of the building. Then, Spidey landed behind him and crossed his arms.

" Nice try, baldy! You ain't getting away from me! "

" Persistent bug! " Kingpin spat.

Spider-Man readied to fight him, but a getaway black helicopter rose up and opened the hatch to allow Kingpin inside.

" This is your endgame, Spider-Man! " he loudly exclaimed and picked up a grenade.

" Uh-oh..."

He threw it out at the costumed one's feet, resulting in a large explosion. Spidey quickly ducked away from it.

" Whoa-ho-ho-ho! " Kingpin stopped laughing when he saw something on the roof. " Huh?! "

A brunette curly woman in her mid-twenties was cladded in her black leather tactical suit. She wore a pair of metallic gauntlets, summoning her seismic vibrations to push Spidey away for his safety. She stood a few meters away from him. As Spidey looked on, Agent Daisy Johnson or Quake placed her hands forward and summoned her seismic shocks at the helicopter. Kingpin was thrown and toppled around in the back until he went to the cockpit, where a white haired man in a red business suit her, was struggling with the controls.

" Magneto, we got a SHIELD Agent! " Kingpin yelled.

" Verdammt! (Damn it!) "  Magneto angrily spat in German, got up and headed toward the back as  Kingpin took the controls.

Daisy looked at Spidey and then aimed another seismic force above the craft, pushing it further away and trying to fall it down.

" The hell...?! " Kingpin muttered and saw some slight breaks through the helicopter's window.

Magneto reached at the back and raised his arms to summon the metallic objects from the ground to strike Daisy and Spidey. The SHIELD Agent pushed them away and sent the metals to her opponent. Magneto raised his left hand and manipulated the metals forming a large arrow with a pointed sharp edge and threw at his opponents. Daisy grabbed Spidey away from the arrow as it dropped into the ground. Magneto readied himself to summon and levitate some metal shards from the ground, making sure that the two would be struck down. He threw away the shards as the SHIELD Agent and the webcrawler dodged into their safety.

" Now, what?! " Spidey asked the brunette operative.

" You should stay out of here! This is SHIELD's business! " she angrily spoke.

" Look, lady! Kingpin just robbed the convenience store with his hoodlums! I'd better take the fight! "

" Then, you ended up being as a twisted piece of metal from Magneto?! "

" We'd better team-up to beat 'em! "

" Fine! "

Spidey finally acting, released his webslingers at the helicopter making it stuck and reaching into Magneto's feet. The German mutant man angrily muttered and stepped away as he thought of retaliating against his two opponents. He summoned another round of metallic shards and threw. Such incoming attacks, Daisy seismically pushed Spidey away and rolled himself, looking up to see the hatch close and the craft flew away.

" Did you say you're from SHIELD?! " Spidey turned at Daisy and asked with his awe-stricken tone.  " Can I have your autograph?! "

" Oh, crap..." she exasperatedly sighed.

[SHIELD HELICARRIER, 12:30 AM]

Spidey sat on a chair as a metallic table was in-front of him. He whistled in awe and looked around to his amazement. On the hand, Daisy held a tablet computer with a stern demeanor. She intently glared at the young costumed man.

" I hope that you realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, Spidey. You put yourself and others in great danger, " she sternly spoke.

" Oh, come on, miss! They started it! " Spidey reasoned. " I was just reading a comic book before they just made the heist! "

" If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back...And break your shoulder bones! " Daisy heatedly spat.

" Break my shoulder bones?! Seriously, a pretty lady like you would even do that?! I'm just a friendly neighborhood, Spider-Man who could save the day! Of course, I wish you could be my damsel in distress to be rescued! " he laughed and flirted.

" Just cut the cheesy crap, Spidey. There is someone here who would like to meet you. "

She moved out of the way, so a surprised Spidey could see a brunette man in a blue business suit and a purple necktie entered through the doorway, holding a can of orange soda and a plate of hotdog sandwiches.

" Spider-Man...Peter Benjamin Parker...Good morning..." the man greeted him with a warm smile.

" Hey, how did you know my true identity?! Isn't it supposed to be secret?! "

" We have just read your profile and observed your actions on the streets for several weeks now, " he answered. " You know, we're very curious.  Where did you learn to do this? " He was gesturing with his head at Daisy's tablet showing Spidey's fighting.

" Uh...I just got struck by a radioactive spider when I was in highschool and then I joined a fighting match before my Uncle Ben died a few years ago. Then, I started training myself. "

" My sincerest condolences, by the way. So, you did self-training? "

" Yeah..."

" I see..."

The older SHIELD Agent put the hotdogs on the table in front of Spidey. He tentatively picked one up and removed his mask, revealing his mid-twenties appearance. Then, he ate it in a single bite, and then, not seeing any rebuttal, shoveled the rest into his mouth. Daisy dared not to look at him and rolled her eyes in disgust.

" It's just your powers are very interesting. I assume you would have been in the Avengers, I take it? "

Peter mumbled through his full mouth, " Oh, really?! " Then, he then swallowed and wiped his mouth, embarrassed. " Sorry. I met Mister Stark aka Iron Man when I was a kid at Stark Expo! I was complete normie before that radioactive bug bit me as a teenager. Then, he met me again as Spider-Man when I was in Highschool! I became totally under his wing. And now, I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa! Pew! Pew! Pew! " Then, he proceeded to make some karate-style poses and noises.

" So, I've noticed! " the brunette man chuckled, placing his cup on the table as he leaned in, then sat down opposite Peter. " And what is an amazing young man such as yourself doing as a strategic espionage operative? "

" Well... I'm a superhero on the streets and working at the Daily Bugle as a part-time photographer, but I want to be a SHIELD Agent or an Avenger for real. "

" You want to slay monsters and aliens, and continue fighting bad guys along the way? "

" Yeah! Like I want to do something more than street-level fighting and rescuing people. I wanna do just like Mr. Stark and the Avengers have experienced! " he talked quickly with his enthusiasm growing. " You see? I still wanna help people and save the day. Just like Uncle Ben would say, " With great power comes great responsibility! " I wanna live with that thought and take action! Perhaps, being a SHIELD Agent will be so cool and exciting, you know?! "

He giggled and stared at the two with a wide, crazy smile. Daisy and her supervising officer shared glances and studied him.

" Do you know who I am? " the man asked.

" Eh...nope..." Peter simply replied.

" I'm Agent Philip J. Coulson from SHIELD. "

" Nice to meet you, Mr. Coulson. "

" You want to be a part of SHIELD? "

" More than anything, sir! " Peter cheerfully affirmed and saluted.

Coulson exchanged glances with Daisy, who showed her disapproval with a " Hmmph " before he turned back to Peter.

" Welcome to Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, Spider-Man...or should I say, Agent Parker. "

Coulson offered him a handshake as Peter responded as he smiled, wide-eyed and open-mouthed.

" This is so awesomely cool! "
