Journey to Wattpad

Long, long ago, in 2011, my friends in 7th grade told me about "An awesome website that you can read and write on it!" They told me it was like social media, which I wan't really allowed to have. After hearing about it for a week or two, I bit the bullet and made an account: Robertz

I had no friends on Wattpad at the start. I remember telling my parents about my writing so I could get some feedback. She read a poem I had wrote about a week before and punished me. She thought that I had copy and pasted it from the internet.

I told her I wrote it, and she made me write a poem in front of her. She finally believed me after that. Now I don't really tell them about it. It is my private work and my outlet. I can see why she thought that I plagiarized. I'm not really the best author, but I like doing it.

Later on, I saw an icon with a picture of a Pikachu with big glasses. I obviously was obsessed with pokemon, so despite my nervousness, I followed them. This person is @arvin12pascual

We soon became friends and he encouraged me to write my very first pokemon fan fic. If you don't know, it was The Eye of the Gardevoir (which is why I am trying to repost it) I was so proud of myself. I continued posting really dark poems and really fun pokemon stories. One day, my friends told me to join the Pokemon Watty Awards.

I didn't want to be in a contest! I wasn't confident enough! The Eye of the Gardevoir wasn't finished, and I wouldn't have been able to finish it in time. That was when I decided to enter Dark Moon, a short story about Espeon and Umbreon. If anybody has that saved in their reading list, let me know, I want to repost that to.

Anyways, I got more followers, wrote more stories, and made new friendships. I won second place in short stories in the 2013 Pokemon Watty Awards and second place in @arvin12pascual contest for an alternate ending of Journey to the Past. I was so proud of myself.

I still continued to write new stories and meet people I know and love now, like @Riverivy

I wanted to get into more serious with my writing, so unfortunately, Robertz was gone. Forever. Or was it?

Yeah for about a month, there was no such thing as Robertz. When my serious writing didn't go too well, I came back. My friends who introduced me to Wattpad fought the summer from 8th grade into 9th. I am now friends with one of them, and will most likely never talk to the other one again. Not because of this, for other recent reasons.\

I didn't write for a while then because I was in between it. In the middle of 9th grade, I lost my interest for writing. Once again, Robertz was gone. A few months later, I was back, and still am since then.

One of my only friends on Wattpad now is @Rivervy (Who still is @Psychicivy to me). Nobody really talks to me, reads my stories, and gives me advice any more. That is really upsetting because I love meeting and talking to people, especially people on Wattpad.

Just extra info, I love television, Netflix, pokemon, Nintendo in general, reading and writing, filmmaking, spending time with my friends, relaxing, participating in clubs, getting good grades, and doing stuff.

So yeah, that's me and my journey to Wattpad. It has been a little rough, but I have hope that I will someday meet new people who support me and reconnect with some old friends. I was nominated by @Riverivy, and I don't know who has and hasn't done this yet, so if you are reading this and haven't, I nominate YOU! Can't wait to read everybody else's! I hope to hear from some of you soon!
