That moment when you realize you've run out of author's notes...

Ara sat there in the snow, thoroughly shocked that she had been slapped. She sat there in the snow holding the side of her face, tears threatening to be released. In her state of shock, she had failed to notice Add's predicament until Eun pointed it out to her. "Pay attention, child! Albino boy is in danger!" Eun said which snapped Ara from her trance. When Ara actually looked over to where Add was, she was enraged to see that the general was killing him. What was this guy even thinking?!
She felt a sudden rush of energy, likely Eun's power, flowing through her. It had been so natural to her that when the power flowed through her, she didn't even question it. All she did was launch herself forward, sequentially lashing out with both of her arms. She could actually see the scratch marks being made against the air just as they came in contact with General Astrin. The general had partially seen the attack coming and had attempted to move out of the way but Ara had scratched at him twice.
He was thrown aside by the attack and Ara didn't hesitate to go to Add's side to make sure he was okay even while the guards focused their weapons on her. She didn't stay by Add's side for very long, suddenly becoming agitated by the many guards around her that didn't even try to stop Astrin from trying to kill Add. She let out an inhuman growl and launched herself at the nearest one, leaving visible scratch marks on the guards suit of armor and knocking his weapon out of his grasp. She turned her fierce gaze on the three guards that were headed towards her to try capturing her. She wasn't about to let that happen.
Ara ducked down and stole the energy of the three guards once they were within her 360 degree range. They fell to the ground, likely passed out. Level 1, three tails. She went to another and forced her palm to their chest, stealing their energy as well. Ara instinctively swerved out of the way of another guard's attack, disarming him and stealing his weapon.
The spear was too light in her hold but she used it anyway, launching herself into the air above a small group of four guards. She came crashing down, sending the guards everywhere. Level 2, six tails. Ara then faced Astrin, the final nuisance. He and Add had been watching Ara attack with shocked looks on their faces.
Add had gotten up already and slowly backed away as Ara walked towards Astrin who stood his ground and changed his expression from shocked to insulted. "Do you really believe that you can win against me. I am General Astrin of Hamel Capital. I haven't lost to anyone in battle and I will most certainly not lose to a mere child!" Astrin said as he glared at Ara but she said nothing as she stopped about seven feet away from him and smirked.
Maximum level, nine tails. Ara had never been able to move or attack in such a way until Eun's power was present. It was as if Eun had given her new techniques that she did even have to train to learn in order to use them. Because of that, Ara dropped her spear and held her fists up in front of her and practically taunted Astrin. He took the taunt and charged at Ara in rage, his fist headed right towards her face but Ara had somehow predicted this and swiftly dodge the attack, using the weakness he'd provided to strike him twice before retreating behind his passing figure.
Ara had managed to swipe her spear from the ground during her retreat and took a perfect stance, awaiting Astrin's next move. He stumbled but did not fall into the snow much to Ara's disappointment. He whirled around and stood his ground, likely wanting Ara to make the next move, and she didn't hesitate to do so. Ara, in a quick flash of movement, appeared right in front of him and scratched him with her enlarged claw marks. Before he could fall, Ara stole his energy which forced him to rise just enough from the ground for Ara's next sequence of attacks.
She struck the ground in front of her, causing a force far greater to come crashing down onto Astrin that left him in a state of paralysis. Then Ara twirled her spear around her at an alarming speed until it lit itself in flames and she lashed out, sending a stunning fiery lotus wheel right at Astrin. The flames no doubt burned him as they passed through him and left behind destructive embers that popped like miniature explosives.
Astrin's cries of pain could be heard throughout the area no doubt but Ara wasn't done yet and the lotus wheel had already disappeared. For her final attack, she charged energy into hand and grew it using the other until she couldn't suppress it anymore and proceeded to send it strait in Astrin's direction. The energy exploded from her palms and blasted Astrin quite far, dragging his face through the snow.
With that, Ara was satisfied and her anger subsided greatly until Eun's power vanished. She suddenly felt the fatigue that she sure wasn't there seconds earlier and dropped down to her knees catching her breath although she didn't remember when she'd lost it. She placed her hand in the snow next to her to keep her stabilized and looked over in Add's direction grinning in triumph.
"That should teach him a lesson huh," Ara managed to say. Add only nodded, probably still surprised from what he saw, as he activated his weapon and picked up Ara's bag where Dynamo still was. "I didn't know you could do all of that," Add muttered as he made his way to her and helped her up out of the snow. "Yeah, neither did I," Ara laughed.
"Child, watch out!" Eun's voice suddenly said in Ara's head. Despite her fatigue, she found herself moving once again. She had pulled Add and herself back down into the snow just as several objects whisked over their heads and exploded a bit too close for comfort. Snow and tiny bits of the stone steps were thrown everywhere and the smoke didn't make things any better.
Again, Ara found herself moving again as she quickly stood and pulled Add up with her. "The smoke is a distraction. Get out of it," Eun said. Ara was about to pulled Add along with her out of the smoke but he pulled her to him instead and picked her up. "What are you doing?" Ara asked. "Saving us," Add said as he used his nasod invention to get them clear of the smoke. The spot that they had just been in was attacked by what seemed to be a weapon of some sort.
Whatever it was, it had to have been the source of the missiles that had nearly killed them. One touch of those things and it would be permanently be lights out. Once clear of the smoke, Add and Ara caught sight of General Astrin. He was unconscious in the snow and surrounded by three medical mages. One spotted them leaving the smoke and pointed at them, alerting the mages behind them that were likely battle mages.
Ara had seen mages before. They'd visited her village as they went on their way on some sort of quest. These mages were likely there to attack them. Add wasn't about to allow that though. He stepped off of his weapon, somehow finding his footing in the slippery snow, and set Ara down. He didn't let her get far from him as he had one of his arms still secure around her waist. The other free hand he used to command his weapon, sending the six floating objects in various directions.
He gathered them together and they shot a great deal of electric energy right at one of the mages that was about to attack them with the fire at the end of their staff. Once the mages were dealt with, Add picked Ara up again and they went on their way. "Where the heck are we even going?!" Ara asked as he zoomed through Hamel city avoiding the few citizens that were out and about.
"I don't really know but we can't stay where we'll get exploded by missiles or attacked by mages," Add said as he searched for a place to go. "Just leave the city. We should be able to get to another nearby place right?" Ara said. Add didn't have time to say anything to her suggestion. A missile that barely missed them blasted the ground near them and knocked them both to the ground. Several more missiles hit around them, keeping them pinned to the ground to avoid being blown to bits.
When the explosions stopped, the smoke was there to keep Ara from seeing where she was but that didn't stop Add from finding her. "Ara? Where are you?" he asked as he tried finding her through the smoke. She felt his hand brush across her own for a brief moment before she herself took hold of his. As he got a little closer to her, she could see the soft glow that his weapons gave off. They allowed her to see a little better and she could see just how uneasy he was.
He wasn't scared but rather threatened and Ara didn't blame him for she too felt threatened. Just before the smoke around them cleared Ara noticed that her hairpin wasn't in her hair and she was about to search for it but was suddenly pulled away from Add by some unknown force. She yelped and fought the hand that pulled her away from Add's grasp but she failed and suddenly froze when she noticed just how close the cannon was to her face.
The hand released her for a brief moment only to be present again, this time pulling on her hair. She found herself forced towards the cannon and she didn't dare move. Add wasn't far from her but he didn't move either once he realized the predicament that Ara found herself in. "I am Helputt, the White Colossus of Hamel Capital. Put away your weapon and surrender now," Helputt said.
