Opening his eyes, he looks at the simple beauty sleeping beside her. He recalls how she held him though his sorrow as she promised. He tucks the hair from face caressed her cheek lovingly.

Neil ( mind) I will protect you Avni. You have been my strength. I could never forget how much you mean and what you did yesterday. I will always be grateful to you.

He moving closer pecks her forehead and untangling himself from her hold he gets down the bed and walks to washroom.

He goals out of the room freshening up and his eyes fell on the bed where Avni were sleep with her mouth lightly open.

He chuckles and ruffling his hair opens his bag and pulling casual short and t- shirt out he got dressed.

He then moves back to bed and sitting on the side ran his hand on her face before softly calling his name out.

Neil : Avni. Wake up!

He softly whispers her name so lovingly and smiles as she opens her eyes looking at him.

He bends down and kissed her forehead.

Neil : good morning!

Avni yawns covering her face and sitting up testy g her body against headboard wished Neil back.

Avni : good morning Neil. What's the time?

Neil : 10 o'clock. Why don't you fresh up then I will show you Delhi around.

Avni nodding her head gets down the bed and rushed to washroom.

Neil chuckles seeing her cute antics and ruffling his hair and grabbing his phone walks out of the room.

Neil comes down and saw Bebe arranging the table. He walks to her and wished her good morning planting a kiss on her cheek.

Neil : good morning Bebe.

Bebe : good morning Neil. Where is Avni?

Neil : she is getting ready. She will be here shortly.

Bebe nodded her head and gestures him to take a seat. Neil sat down and watched Bebe serving him.

He waits till Avni joins them and starts eating his breakfast.

Avni : good morning Bebe.

Bebe : good morning Avni. Come have your breakfast.

Avni nodding her head sat next to Neil and starts filling up the plate and starts eating.

A door bell rang making them stop and wondered who would be at the door. Bebe also frowns as she wasn't expecting any relatives or friends to visit her.

Bebe shook her head and gets up moving towards the door and opens the door to see the people who have always hurt her family.

She was about shut the door on their faces but they were strong and pushing Bebe enters inside and starts shouting Neil's name.

Neil stood up hearing his name and comes to living hall to see people who he hates to with all his gut and core.

His eyes turns red and his anger boiled seeing them.

Neil marched towards them angrily and fisting the man collar yelled.

Neil : why the heck you are doing here? Why are you here? Who called you here?

The man chuckles and pushed Neil away.

Man : I don't need anyone's permission to see you or come here Neil. Why do you forget what I am to to you?

Neil : no one. Did you here that no one? We don't share any blood relation. Do you understand. Leave.

He shouts controlling his anger. His eyes fell on Avni who was standing by the table staring him in a fear. His eyes softens seeing her.

Neil glanced at the family who stole made his life miserable. They are the same family who took him in custody after his parents death and abused him physically and mentally. His heart still hurts and aches what he went through.

Neil : I said leave...

He turns to leave but stops feeling a hand on his wrist. He turns and looks at the person who held him back.

Neil: leave my hand.

Person : I won't Neil.. how can you leave us?

Neil sarcastically laughed pulling his wrist.

Neil : leave? How can I not leave you all? You made my whole life miserable. Did you thought I was child just like others kid. No! Right you guys didn't leave a chance to abuse me. Now what do you want. Money. Leave the fuck me alone. Leave.

Person : you're just like your mother. My father did right killing your parents.

His body froze and stiffens hearing words. He can't believe she was the one girl who he thought had soft heart towards him but again she proved it wrong the day when she tried to touch him physically when they were alone that night.

His eyes blurred out before he felt everything blacking out.

He opens his eyes feeling suffocating and his throat drying up. He stretched his body to get hold of the water jug but his hand touched the jug and it fall breaking on the floor scattering glasses pieces like his heart broken in pieces remembering what he went through after his parents death.

Holding his head he sat up resting his head against headboard and looks the person who held the glass of water front of him.

His heart ache seeing her there.. he hesitated took the glass and drank it.

He puts the glass and looked away. His mind wasn't working at the moment.

He turns his head around feeling the bed dip beside him and found her sitting next to him holding her eyes.

Avni : why are avoiding me Neil? I know it's not easy to forget the past. But phase dong avoid me. I can't see you like this.

Even her heart broke seeing him like that. His pains reminds her what she went through. One thing she knows, both of them had drastically horrible and awful past. No one could change their past.

Neil sighs and looks at her holding her hand tightly in his fist.

Neil : how can I not avoid you? I brought you here and thought it will be change but no. I forget this city won't let me leave in peace. My past isn't only about losing my parents but more than that. My heart hurts I couldn't have happy family or childhood like others child.

Avni : everyone is not lucky Neil. We were unfortunate child to suffer throughout our whole life. It was destiny to meet. I didn't believe I would escape from the hell but yet I did.

He looks at her hearing her words. Her words and voice changed. He could feel pain in her voice. He knew he wasn't the only one suffering. She suffered too. 

Neil: you're right. We were definitely unfortunate child. My parents did affect me a lot but being three years old I understand till I turned 18. Bebe wasn't aware of what happened after my parents death. She was busy handling dad business as after his death no one was there to take over. She did everything to make me happy but circumstances didn't help. Somehow my mother side family got way to come or take me with them so they can abuse me. They mentally and physically abused. Bebe didn't know anything how smartly they hid my marks from Bebe. Bebe wasn't blind or fool to believe them. She then starts taking me to office with her but that didn't stop them. Whenever Bebe went out of county or city for business they would come and abuse me knowing I was alone with guards. Life is totally hard and messed up.

He stops talking about his past because it pains whenever he talks about those days.

Neil looks up and saw her eyes filled with tears. He wipes the tears off and cups her face.

Neil : this is my past. It had been painful and difficult to live but I had to get through this. 

Avni : it's okay. No one can harm you. You went through a lot Neil. I will protect you now.

Neil gave her smile and wondered what Cupid happened if he met Avni few years back. By now they would have happy family.

He shook his head and looks at the time. He wants to change his past with beautiful memories with his girl. He wanted to live his life with his girl now.

Neil : do you still wish to go out?

Avni : will you be okay? I don't want to trouble you.

Neil : I will be okay till you're by side. No one can harm if you there to protect me like I will protect you. Go and get change and come. We will go out.

Hearing his stern voice she jumped out of bed and went away.

They roamed Delhi malls and few places. Neil was feeling better and forgotten what happened earlier.

Avni was happy seeing him happy. She drags him around side and gestures him to buy.

Neil : you can't be having so much sweets.

Avni : please. Last one.

Neil sighs and nodded his head and gesturing just one. Avni smiles and starts jumping like a child.

Neil chuckles and ordering her favourite flavour starts walking back to their car.

They drove back home and having dinner laid in each other in Neil's room.

They were returning back to Mumbai tomorrow morning.

Neil looks down and saw Avni fallen asleep. He giggles lightly and bending down kissed her chubby cheeks. He then covers themselves and closed his eyes.

Did they little knew something was change soon as they return back to Mumbai.
