She stood in the balcony leaning against the rails and cold breeze touching her skins. A minute later she closed her eyes and inhales a deep breath before she opens her eyes and stares the dark sky filled with stars.

She hugged herself feeling cold and stood there lost in her thoughts. She didn't realise  when tears trickles down her cheeks.

She quickly wipes her tears as she heard someone approaching towards her, she turns around and saw Neil heading towards her.

She looks at his attire and understood he got home from work. She looked away and wipes the tears that fell down and turns looking at Neil.

Neil : I knocked few times but you didn't answer. I had no option other than coming inside to see if you are okay or not.

Avni was so lost in her own world didn't hear the knock.

Avni : I'm sorry. I didn't hear. What brings you here?

Neil : oh yes! Bebe is calling you downstairs.

Avni : oh okay! I will go and see Bebe.

Neil nodding his head and left the room while Avni sighing to herself also walks out of the room.

She went to downstairs and saw Bebe sitting in living room.

Avni : Bebe did you call me?

Bebe looks at Avni.

Bebe : yes I did Avni! I need to tell you something.

Avni got confused and looks at bebe who gestured her to take a seat beside her.

Nervously Avni sat beside Bebe and looks at her.

Bebe sensing her being nervous hold Avni's hand and looks at her.

Bebe : I want to tell you something.

Avni confusingly looks at Bebe not knowing what is going to happen next but was hoping something good.

Bebe : I will be leaving back to my place. I don't stay with Neil but past few days before he brought you home I came here. I will be returning back to Delhi tomorrow morning. I know you will feel lonely so I thinking why don't you come with me.

Avni's eyes widen hearing Bebe words, she couldn't believe her ears. did she just hear that? Will she be able to leave this place.

Can she leave Mumbai? Will all her problems disappear if she leaves this city?

So many random thoughts crossed on her head and she couldn't decided what she should do.

Avni sighs and looks at bebe.

Avni : bebe, why do you want to me to go with you? Aren't I just a random girl who is need of shelter for few days?  I won't be staying here forever.

Bebe : I don't want to hear silly thoughts of yours. You are not random girl who needs shelter to stay. Believe it or not but in a such short time you have become member of our family Avni.

Avni's eyes tears up hearing Bebe calling her part of their family. Avni holding her tears looks at bebe.

Avni : bebe. I don't know.

Bebe : you don't want to move with me, that's okay but will do you something for me?

Avni frowns but still nods her head.

Avni : what is it bebe?

Bebe : I heard Neil is interviewing few candidates in his office. Why don't you join him? You can work in his office, in that case you won't feel lonely. Also you will be making your name.

Avni's mind went blank, she recalled Neil's words too. She just didn't how can she get a job when she doesn't know anything, she doesn't have a degree.

Avni : Bebe, how can I? How can I work with Neil? I don't know anything. I don't have any qualifications.

She stops and looks at Bebe who giggled.

Bebe : why are you worrying so much about that? Neil can teach you. You will be working with him. He also said he will help you out. You need to confident and have faith in yourself that you can do it. Tomorrow he will be taking interviews and you will be going there too.

Avni nodded her head and looks at up the stairs to see Neil coming down while talking over the phone.

She looked away as he lifts his gaze up staring her. Neil ending the call comes by them and sat next to Bebe.

Neil : what are you guys talking about?

Bebe : I was telling Avni to join your company?

Neil looks at bebe then at Avni who looked down.

Neil: Avni do you want to join the company? I mean if you're not ready then we won't force you.

Avni snaps her head looking at Neil and sighing deeply sighed.

Avni : do you think I can work?

She questioned looking at Neil who looks at her and immediately understood her feelings.

Neil : you're definitely not ready to work but if you don't try then how will you know what you are capable of doing. I want to advise you that you should join the company and work for few weeks then see if you like it. You will be working under me. I will train you.

Avni looks at Neil with some hope gleaming in her eyes. She knew she could trust him just by looking into his eyes.

Avni : I will come with you tomorrow.

Neil smiles and nodded his head.

Avni sat in the room balcony with a book in her hand that she found in the morning when she was roaming in the library.

She got comfortable on the couch and opening the work got herself engaged reading the book.

While reading the book she didn't realise when when her eyes gave up. She feel asleep while reading the book.

Next morning her eyes flicks opens slowly and realising her own position she slaps her head and gets up moving back to the room.

She got fresh up and moves to dressing table, she wore cream brown tank top with shirt on top  and white jeans.

When Bebe took her to shopping she didn't thought she would be needing formal attire to which she doesn't have formal outfits.

She was very well aware of her dressing style isn't matching with office attire but she had no choice wearing the casual.

Avni applying minimal makeup and grabbing a small bag she went out of the room.

Nervously she gets down the stairs and moves to kitchen to find someone but she didn't stop Bebe or Neil.

She frowns thinking where could be. Avni returns back to living hall and sat down with hand against her knee.

She sat there till Neil or Bebe comes, a minute later she heard footsteps at the back.

She turns her head around and saw Neil coming down the stairs. She took a minute and drool over how handsome he is in formal attire.

His body posture spokes richness and richness hits back to her head, that she could never match their status or stranded.

Neil feeling a strong gaze looks up and found Avni staring him intensely. The way Avni stares him definitely does something to his heart.

There is something about Avni that is driving him crazy.

Neil shook his head and stepping down the stairs clicks his finger at Avni's face making her come out trance and embarrassingly looks away.

Neil chuckles and shoving his phone in his pocket looks at Avni.

Neil : didn't you go shopping with Bebe?

He spoke as he noticed her wearing causal not formal attire.

Avni : do I look bad in this?

Neil : no! You don't look bad but this is work clothes. You know what I mean?

Avni : yes I do! I don't have any pair of work clothes. Once I start earning then I have buy them.

Neil : it's okay! We can shopping after interview.

Avni : no! We don't have to. You have done so much for me. You have shelter and job. I can't be asking everything to you. You were right I need to stand up and find my identity. I will work and find my own path.

Neil smiles and felt proud hearing her. He knew she was getting there. He will make her strong just like him but with few exceptions.

Neil : I am proud of you Avni. This would your first step. I will have to leave now because I have a meeting to attend. Your interview is at 12 pm. Bebe will drop you up office, any problems do let me know.

Avni nodded her head and Neil glancing at Avni last time walks away from there.

Avni sighs as Neil went and getting up went back to her room as there was some time before she leaves for the interview.
