Lucy P.O.V
I woke up to the shining gray sky burning my eyes open. I groan, wanting to go back to sleep, but knew that was impossible. I sat up and yawned, stretching out my arms. I look down at my stomach to see that it's gotten bigger, at least the of a basketball. I gently pressed my palm against it, trying to feel the life of my kids. Nothing. I sighed and carefully got out of bed, trying not to wake up Natsu, who was sleeping right next to me.
I got dressed into a long blue dress that Levy said was perfect for pregnant women. I looked at myself and thought to myself, Doesn't look that bad. Smiling, I left outside to take a small stroll. By the look of it, it was already noon, and everyone was doing their daily chores. Kids were playing with dolls and balls, men went out fishing, and the women sat in a giant circle, gossiping about other women. "Atsuko!" I heard someone call my name. I turn to see that it was Asuna and Kirito. I smiled. "Hey!"
When they caught a glimpse of my stomach, they gasped. "I thought you just got pregnant?"
"Um, yeah. Quite a long story." I said. They shrugged it off, and we took a stoll together. "So, what's happened ever since I left?"
"Kirito signed up for the Defense Team, so he'll be patroling the perimeter alot. I've been taking spiritual lessons from Taiga-Sama." Asuna told me.
"Good for the both of you!" I exclaimed.
"Also," Kirito said, blushing a little, "Asuna and I are getting married."
I gasped. "Are you serious?!"
Asuna, who was also red, blushed a little. "He proposed last month."
"Congratulations!" I said, giving them a giant hug. I began to tell them what happened to me during the large two year gap of us being apart, when we were suddenly interrupted by a sounded like taunting. "Elliot and Lousie! The strange ones of the village!"
I looked behind me to see a bunch of villagers crowding around something. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Oh, don't even bother. It's just the outcasts of the village." Asuna said.
"Outcasts?" I asked. Since when did they have outcast? I looked past the kids and gasped. In the middle of the circle were two kids, a boy and a girl. The girl, who looked like she was about to cry, had long flowing pink hair and big, brown eyes. She wore a pink dress, not kimono, with little white roses on them. The boy, who held the girl, had short blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He wore a green shirt and brown cargo jeans. "Leave my sister alone!" He cried.
"Look at the halfies! They don't belong here!" One girl laughed.
"You deserve to go to hell! Just like your parents!" One boy growled. "Come on, guys. They're not even worth it."
This got me fumed. Without stopping myself, I marched over to those kids and and roared, "What do you think you kids are doing!"
They looked at me as if I was crazy. "N-Nothing.." One of the girls lied.
"What do you mean 'nothing'? I want you guys to say sorry to these two. Now!" I yelled.
But the kids just pushed the kids down and ran down the hill, laughing and screaming. "Hey!" I yelled. But I knew it was no use. I groaned, but turned my attention back to the kids. "Are you alright?" I asked.
The girl in the pink was speechless, so the boy spoke for her. "We're fine. Thank you for what you did."
"Your welcome." I smiled. I turned so that I could see Asuna and Kirito, but they disappeared in thin air. Strange, I thought to my self. But I ignored the thought and returned my focus towards the kids. "What are your names?" I asked.
"I'm Louise." The girl squeaked.
"And I'm Elliot, her twin brother." The boy said. I looked at them with a hint of shock. I would not have guessed that they were twins, since they looked completley different. But then I began to notice that some of their facial structures were similar. "Why were those kids calling you 'outcasts?'" I asked them.
Suddenly, Louise began to cry. Elliot held her tightly, telling her that it was okay. "Our mother was born here, but she got impregnated by a thief here. She died giving birth to us, and our grandma took us in. She died last month."
I felt my heart shattering as I heard the story. I could feel a tear falling down my face. "Where are you two staying?" I asked.
"WHere ever we can hide." Lousie choked up silently.
I gasped. These looked no more than ten, and they were already living in the streets. No kid deserved that! I wiped off my tear and asked, "Would you like to stay with my husband and me?"
Lousie and Elliot's eyes lit up. "Really?!"
I chuckled. "Of course. I know what it feels like to be abandoned."
Louise began to jump up and down with excitement, her long, pink flowing hair bouncing as well. "Yay! We have a home!"
I smiled, taking Elliot with one hand, and Louise in another, taking them to their new home.
Natsu P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of dishes being placed on the table. I groaned and sat up straight. I checked my phone to see that it was already three. Damn, I was totally wiped out, I thought. I walked over to the bathroom and washed my face. I walked into the kitchen and asked, "What's for lunch, Lucy?"
Suddenly, I saw two children sitting on the floor, eating a sandwich. "Hiya!" a little girl greeted.
"Um..Hiya?" I greeted back.
"Are you the lady's husband?" a little boy next to her asked.
"Uh, yeah?" This was getting to weird. Why were there kids in Lucy's house. I see Lucy coming out of the door. She noticed me being awake and said, "I can explain."
"Please, do so." I said. I sat on the kitchen chair, still not believing what I was seeing.
"Thses kids were being bullied, and have no home, and everyone wont give them one. So....I offered them to stay here." Lucy explained.
I gave her a suspcious loook. "For how long?"
She was silent, twirling her hair around her finger. "Until they want to leave."
I looked at her wide eyed. "We can't take care of two kids!"
"We're not kids! We're ten!" the boy yelled.
"I know your not a kid, Elliot." Lucy smiled.
"Your husband is kind of scary." the little girl said silently.
"Scary? Me?" I asked, looking back at my wife. She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck. "Think of this as practice. We are going to be parents soon, anyways."
I sighed and placed my hand on hers. "Fine, they can stay."
"Yay! Scary man said yes!" The little girl said.
"Oi, Louise. You've got to stop calling him 'scary'." Elliot said.
She nodded, and continued to eat her sandwhich. "What is your name, anyways?"
"Um, well, I'm Natsu." I introduced myself.
"And I'm Lucy." She smiled.
"Natsu and Lucy? Summer and Light." Elliot said silently, kind of looking dazed.
"Huh?" I asked.
Elliot shook his head and smiled. "You guys suit eachother."
I smiled. Everything was now sort of peaceful. Until these kids are born, this was our home. The kids eating on the floor were kind of our "adoptive children". So in retrospect, our family had already begun.
Suddenly, Lucy squealed. "I felt something!"
That caught my attention. "What?!"
"One of the babies just kicked!" Lucy squealed. She grabbed my hand and placed it on her stomach. At first, there was nothing, but then I felt a little thump on the palm of my hand. "Oh my God." I whispered.
"Babies!" Louise exclaimed.
"Congrats." Elliot smiled.
I smiled at him, and looked at Lucy. Her blue eyes were filled with tears. I wiped them and said, "We're going to be parents."
Lucy nodded. "Yes, yes we are."
Suddenly, something strange happened.
Lucy's hand was getting hot. "Lucy? Are you feeling okay?"
"I don't know." She said, sounding kind of dazed. "I feel like..." At that moment, she fell to my lap. "Lucy!" I yelled.
"Miss Lucy!" The kids said with worry. I felt her forehead, and it was burning up. "We have to get her to Taiga!"
The kids nodded. I carried Lucy in my arms and made my wings appear. "We wanna come to!" I heard Louise exclaim.
"You guys have to stay here." I ordered.
"She's our new mommy! We have to make sure she's okay!" Louise cried, tears falling down her face. I hated it when kids cried in front of me. I groaned. "Alright! Can you guys meet me at Taiga's?"
The kids nodded and headed out the door. I took a running start and began to fly in the air.
"Hold on, Lucy." I said to her.
Anastasia P.O.V
I get annoyed when a job can't be fulfilled. It's been two days already, and no one has found a trace of that Dragneel girl. By the hour, I'm getting weaker and weaker.
It was time to take into action.
One of my servants came up to me when I was sitting in my garden. "Your Highness, there is someone here to see you."
I smiled. "Bring him over here."
The servant bowed, and by her command, the two gaurds came over with a man witha black hood and cape. The guards bowed, but not the man. "Hello, Your Majesty." The man said with a slick voice.
"I hear your good at 'getting rid of things'." I told him.
I could see a smirk in his smile. "You've heard correctly."
"Well, then I've got a job for you. It's about a girl."
"Ah, women. The easiest to get rid of." The man sighed.
I chuckled. "I also here your good at tracking targets."
"All thanks to magic."
"Well, I want this girl killed. Immediatley."
"Ah, ah , ah, Princess." THe man laughed. "I don't do free jobs."
I knew he would say that. "As your pay, I'll give you three million jewls."
He smiled. "Now that can get a customer statisfyed."
"So do we have a deal?" I asked.
He brought out his hand, which was covered by a black leather glove. "Deal."
I shook his hand. "So what do I call you, Sir?"
I could hear him snicker. "Call me Shadow. Shadow the Assasin."
