Natsu P.O.V

As Lucy was being examined by Wendy in the infirmary, I held Louise and Elliot in both of my arms, rocking them back and forth. They loved to laugh, especially when it came to my face apparently. I would make serious faces, and they would still laugh! I would end up laughing with them because they were so amusing! "Natsu." I heard Gramps call out from upstairs. "Can I speak with you?"

"Sure, Gramps!" I called. I walked up with the twins in my hand up to Gramps office. I see him sitting on his desk, giving me a serious look. "Is everything alright?" I asked.

"Oh yes! Of course! Why wouldn't it be!" Gramps laughed.

"You scared me for a moment." I sighed, laughing a little. "But then why did you call me up?"

"You are leaving to the Kiona battle field in two days, are you not?" He asked me.

God, don't remind me, I sighed in my head. "Yes, yes I am. Why do you ask?"

"Natsu, I'm getting old. Way to old to be Master anymore." He sighed, stroking his grey hair.

"Yeah, I can tell." I smiled. He gave me an angry glare. I laughed out loud, remembering how I would do this when I was younger. "Anyways, Natsu. When you come back from Kiona, I would like you to be the new Master."

Wait, did I hear correctly? Did he just say he wants me  to be the next Master? "A-Are you serious? Why me?"

"Because I believe that you have matured during the last few years. You are no longer the same goofy kid you were back then. You have really become a man." Gramps said with a smile.

I felt a tear fall down my face. The twins clapped their hands, as if they knew what had just happened. "Thank you so much, Gramps."

He smiled. "No. Thank you, Natsu."

I headed into the infirmary to see Lucy looking out the window. "Look who I brought." I announced to surprise her. She looked at us and smiled. "Oh, finally! I've wanted to hold them all day!"

"You don't want to hold me." I pouted.

Lucy laughed. "You're a grown man now.No one needs to hold you anymore."

I smiled. I handed Louise and Elliot to her and watched as she rocked the babies in her arms. She gently kissed their little foreheads, and they both smied widley. " I have some news for you."

"News? What kind?"

I took a deep breathe. "Gramps has asked me to be the next Master of Fairy Tail."

Lucy gasped. "Are you serious! That's so exciting!"

I smiled. I gently kissed her forehead. When I looked at Lucy's face, I noticed that it seemed kind of sad. "Is there something wrong?"

She nodded. "It's almost time, isn't it? Time for you to...leave."

My smiled almost disappeared. "Yeah, I guess it is." Elliot suddenly began to cry. I took him from Lucy's arms and tried to calm him down. I look over at Lucy to see her eyes watered up. I sighed and layed down on her bed next to her. "I have a proposition. For today and tomorrow, it'll only be us and the kids. No friends, no work, just us and the kids."

Lucy slightly smiled. "Really?"

"Really." I wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her closer to me. "Before I leave, I want to experience what it's like to have a family."

Lucy smiled. "Alright then! Wendy says I'm good for walking, so i say the first thing we do is buy baby supplies."

"Right! It's only three o'clock, so we've got plenty of time!" I exclaimed.

"Alright then." Lucy smiled. "Let's go!"

Lucy P.O.V

We left Fairy Tail instantly and went straight to the town. From my point of view, everything was back to normal. The gloomy town was back to it's bright and vibrant self.  Citizens crowded the area, making it hard to walk. We went to a baby store and instantly began browsing the merchandise. Natsu, who was holding Louise, raised a cute little yellow dress. "Isn't this cute!" He exclaimed.

I laughed. "Yes, it is." I searched for something for Elliot, and found a little sailor outfit. I showed it to Natsu. "Look at this!"

Natsu began to laugh. "Is our son going to be a sailor now?"

I smiled. "It'll look adorable on him. Do you like the outfit, Elliot?" I showed him the outfit, and he immediatley sqeezed it in his hand. "I'll take that as a yes." We continued to grab other baby stuff, like formula, crib, toys, and more clothes for the babies. We got to the cashier and paid for all the items. "Well, that's done. Now what do we do?"

"Let's get everything settled at the apartment." Natsu said. I nodded, and began to push our stuff on a cart. 

When we got home, I felt like I was in heaven. "Oh God, it feels so good to be home!" I gasped.

"It sure is!" Natsu agreed, stretching his free arm. We walked over to our bedroom and set the twins on our bed. We began to assemble the crib for them "Hey, where do you think this piece goes?" Natsu asked, holding up an unknown piece.

"Read the instructions." i told him.

"But I don't like instructions!" He exclaimed, adding a hint of anger and frustration.

I sighed and began reading the direction. "That goes on this side." I told him, pointing to where the piece is suppose to go. He nodded, finally understanding. After almost an hour, we finished the crib. We gave each othre a high five for success. "Alright, time to feed the kids." Natsu said. I nodded and began making the formula for the kids. Natsu looked over my shoulder. "So that's how you make breast milk?"

I could feel my face burning up. "N-Natsu! It's just milk for babies who've just been born."

"So it is breast milk." Natsu said.

I sighed and gave in. "Yes, it's breast milk."

"I knew it!" he exclaimed. I laughed and poured the formula into the baby bottles. We stepped back into our room and began to feed the twins. I watched as Louise drank the whole thing in a matter of minutes. "She sure was hungry." I said.

"Same with Elliot." Natsu told me, showing me his empty bottle. At the same time, the twins yawned and began to drift to sleep. I smile and slowly placed Louise in her crib. Natsu did the same thing with Elliot and cover them with a blanket. We slowly left the room and closed the door behind us. We sighed. "Well, their asleep."

I nodded. "I better start making dinner."

"Oh no you're not!" Natsu suddenly exclaimed. "You are going to sit down and rest while I make dinner."

My eyes went wide. "Um, alright then." Natsu smiled and pushed me into the bedroom. I could hear him talk to himself with excitement, making me giggle. I sat on my bed and found one of my photo albums under the pillow. Is it suppose to be there, I wondered. I pulled it from under the pillown and began to look through the pictures. Ths was from when I was seventeen, I realized in surprise. I found pictures of Natsu and I in front of Fairy Tail, smiling like a bunch of goofballs. I look so much different compared to then and now. In the photo, I wore mini skirts would wear side ponies. Now I grew out my hair that was probably almost as long as Repunzel's and would wear nice, comfortable dresses. This picture was before we even began dating, I smiled. I touched the picture gently as I went down memory lane. "Everything turned out for the best, huh?" I whispered, looking at sleeping Elliot and Louise. Then, Natsu slowly came into the room and whispered, "Dinner is served."

When I got to the kitchen, I felt my mouth drooling from the smell. I saw two candels lit on the tabel. Our food was barbecue and pasta with a glass of red wine. "This looks delicious!" I exclaimed.

"I thought you would say that. You mumbled about it while you slept."

My face burned red. "i did not!"

"You did." He smiled. He pulled out a chair for me like a true gentleman. I blushed and sat on the chair. He pushed me towards the table and sat down himself. He raised his glass of wine and said, "To us."

I giggled. "To us." After that, we began to eat. He cooked the barbecue to perfection! I savored the food in my mouth as if it was the last bite. And don't get me started on the pasta! It tasted like heaven! I didn't notice until I took a sip of my wine that Natsu was staring at me, already finished with his food. "What's wrong?"

"You have the weirdest face when you eat your favorite food." He said.

I could feel my face burn up with embarrasment. I could hear Natsu chuckle with amusement. He stood up and picked up my dishes. "At least let me do the dishes."

"Not happening." Natsu ignored, already getting started with the dishes. I pouted and got up and jumped on the couch. It's soft cushion feeling felt so good, I never wanted to get up. I was so close to drifting sleep when I saw Natsu towering over me. "Are you going to sleep on the couch?" Natsu asked.

I shook my head. "I just wanted to relax for a little."

"Well, scoot over so you can relax with your husband." He smiled. I smiled back and moved my body to give Natsu some room. He laid down next to me, wrapping his hands around me.  His body radiated heat, warming me up in the cold apartment.  I could feel him stroking my hair with care and ease. "I love you, Lucy." He whispered in my ear.

I smiled when he whispered those words. "I love you too, Natsu." I looked up at him to see his cheeks a light shade of pink. I giggled. "I have a request."

"A request? Of what kind?" He asked.

"Can we go to the Library." I requested, hoping he would remember what I meant. At first he seemed a little confused, making me a little disappointed. Suddenly, his face lit up, and he gave me a caring smile. "You wouldn't mean the Cilorthian Library, where we shared our first kiss?"

I smiled and nodded. "Can we? Please!"

Natsu laughed. He gently kissed my forehead and said, "i would love to go back to Cilorthia. But what about the kids? Their not ready for travel yet."

"I can take them to Levy and Gajeel." I told him.I don't know why, but I was filled with so much excitement that I couldn't help it.

I closed my eyes and kissed Natsu passionatley. I could feel Natsu's surprise, but he kissed me back, turning it slow and steady. He pulled away, and a yawn suddenly slipped out of my mouth. Natsu laughed. "Let's go to bed."

I nodded, and he walked me to our bedroom.  I tucked myself in bed, as did Natsu. I moved towards him, and he wrapped his hands around my waist. "Good night." He yawned, drifting off to sleep.

"Good night." I smiled, trying to fall asleep.

But for some reason, I just couldn't. I suddenly felt tears spilling out of my eyes. Why? Why am I crying? I thought in my head. But almost instantly, I knew why I was crying.

I looked at my alarm clock to see that it was already one in the morning.

Natsu would be leaving tomorrow.

"Oh God." I whisered. "Oh God!"

If I was crying like this now, how will I act when Natsu's gone?
