Lucy P.O.V
"AMELIA!" I screamed. I pushed Natsu away and kneeled to Amelia's side. I could feel her blood on my knees. She was crying, but smiling at the same time. "I...can see heaven.""
"NO! STAY! PLEASE STAY!" I cried. "I'LL DO ANYTHING, JUST PLEASE, STAY WITH ME!"
Although I only knew her for a little while, it was as if I've known her my whole life. I held her hand and gentley kissed it, praying to my heart's content. I placed one hand on her deep wound, which was gushing out blood, and tried to heal it with my magic. I didn't know why, but it didn't work, leaving me with grave disappointment. "I don't want you to die." Suddenly, she placed something in my hand, replacing her own hand. I opened my hands and gasped.
The Celestial Keys.
"They....told me stories.....amazing stories.." She said, coughing up some blood. "I've...always..wanted to meet you."
"Please...don't die." I cried softly. I could feel Natsu's hand on my shoulder. "Goodbye....Angel.." She whispered. She took a sudden gasp of breathe, and was silent. Her eyes became lifeless, and her hand was now cold.
Princess Amelia, the youngest of the Royal Taylor Family, died today at the age of thirteen.
"Oh God, Natsu!" I cried, resting my face on his shoulder. He sqeezed me tightly, and I could feel his body lightly tremble. "It's okay."
"Amelia?" Anastasia suddenly muttered. I had forgotten she was there. My sorrow was suddenly replaced with a scary emotion.
Rage.
"HOW COULD YOU! HOW COULD YOU KILL YOUR OWN SISTER!" I screamed, wanting to just kill her right now. Suddenly, my stomach was engulfed in pain, and I cried out. "Lucy, are you okay?!" Natsu asked. I knew it was just a contraction, but suddenly, there was another thing added to the pain.
The strange feeling of dark magic rising.
"What's...happening?" I gasped. I looked over at Anastasia, who was surrounded by dark aura. "Am I finally...becoming a Dark Angel?"
What? A Dark Angel?!
"Anastasia...what are you talking about?" I asked.
Her face broke in a wicked smile. "The Life Link is broken."
I didn't know if I heard her correctly. Did she say it was broken? "But...how?" Anastasia looked down at dead Amelia and croutched down next to her. She slowly placed her hand on her little sister's wound. She then sqeezed it tightly, sccoping up a handfull of blood. I gasped at the sight, and almost threw up at the smell. "It's..because of my lovley sister."
"What does Amelia have to do with this!" Natsu yelled.
"In order for me to become a full Dark Angel, I had to kill the daughter of the Goddess of Light. But what I hadn't realized is that my little sister was actually a ...shortcut, because she was a Wizard of Light, or Celestial Wizard."
"So....her death is my fault.." I whispered.
"It's not your fault! Your keys disappeared, remember. You had nothing to do with it!" Natsu assured me. I couldn't help but stare at Amelia's body.
There was not a single spark of life in her.
Tears continued to fall down my face as I stared at her eyes, once green and now a cold grey. I slowly closed her eyes for her, saying my final goodbye. "Now, there's still some unfinished business with you." Anastasia smiled. But instead of raising her sword, she raised her hands. Black orbs began to grow, her magic growing rapidly. "Lucy, we have to go! NOW!" Natsu screamed. In just the nick of time, he pulled me away from where I was kneeling, and at that moment, Anastasia threw her orbs at the ground. The minute they made contact with the marble floor, everything around it began to decay, growing bigger and bigger. "Let's run!" Natsu yelled. He puleed me up, and we began to run towards the exit. Suddenly, a strike of pain hit my stomach. It felt as if I was being stabbed in the stomach all together. Why is this contraction so painful! And so long as well! But suddenly, as if a light bulb lit up above me, that's when I knew. "Natsu, we have to stop!"
"What? Why?" Natsu asked urgetnly.
"Its...it's time! The babies are coming!"
Natsu P.O.V
Boy, Louise and Elliot had the worst timing.
I looked at Lucy with my jaw dropped. "A-Are you serious?!"
She let out a scream of pain, and then yelled, "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M JOKING!"
God, she looked like she was in real pain. But where could I go? We were so close to the exit, but there was still the whole courtyard to escape from. She was probably too heavy to carry on my back, too.
We were absolutley stuck.
"NATSU!" I heard Gray suddenly scream. I look back to see a small bottle suddenly thrown at my face. Thank's to my cat-like senses, I caught it by a hair. "What's this!" I yelled.
As he continued to bash heads together, he yelled, "It'll be a strong enough potion to fly both you and Lucy out of here! It'll only last two minutes! Save some for Lucy! Now hurry, before she bursts!"
I nodded, and quickly drank the bottle. I grew my wings out and grabbed Lucy. We ran.
And ran.
Finally, we took the take off and headed towards the sky. Wind rushed through my face as I flew through the skies, holding Lucy in my arms. She continued to scream out of pain, taking quick, light breathes. When we finally left the area, we slowly began to descend. Just in time, too, I sighed in my head.
"OOH GOD!" Lucy screamed. She was beginning to sweat a bucket load. Finally, we reached a field at least two miles away from the castle. What was the problem?
We were no where near a hospitol.
"NAtSU! IT HURTS!" Lucy screetched.
"Okay! Okay, should we wait until someone comes?"
"We can't wait that long! You have to deliver the babies!"
"What?! Me?! I know nothing about delivering a baby!"
"Please, Natsu! Think of Louise, and Elliot! Think of our future!" She begged, tears streaming down her pained stricken face.
Out of all the situations I've been in, this had to be the number one most stressful. But I knew that I had to do it, for the sake of Lucy, the twins, and our family. "Okay, I'll deliver them."
I layed Lucy down and tried to calm her at least a little. I stroke my hand against her face, and she held it tightly. "You can do this." She whispered, with a scream at the end.
I nodded, removing her under garments. "Okay, try to push."
She listened and pushed, screaming out of pain. I looked down her dress, but saw no head. "You're doing great! Keep pushing!" I encouraged.
She nodded, and continued to push. Her screams sounded painful, something so hard to endure. I peeked down, but still saw no head. "Come on! You can do it!"
"YOU MAKE THIS SOUND EASY!" She growled. I raised my hands up in defense, but she just continued to push. When I looked down, I began to see a head. "I see a head! Come on, Lucy!" She pushed more and more, and finally, our first baby was out. I quickly placed my vest on the ground and placed the first baby there. "Alright, Lucy! One more!" She continued to push and push, screaming and crying out of pain. After a while, our other baby was soon born. Lucy sighed with relief, crying with tears of joy. I gave her the bottle of liquid that Gray gave me and kissed her on the forehead. "You did a great job, Luce."
"We're...parents." She cried with joy. I cleaned up both babies and handed one to Lucy. "What should we name the girl?" I asked Lucy, because she was holding her.
"Louise." She smiled.
"I love it." I smiled.
"But that's not all." She smiled.
"It isn't?" I asked with confusion.
"Louise Amelia Dragneel." She said adding a little sadness to it. I smiled and placed my hand on her shoulder. "What about the boy?"
"Elliot Kazehaya Dragneel." I smiled, using her father's name in his full name.
Lucy teared up a little. "Otou-San." She gentley kissed the foreheads of both Louise and Elliot and whispered, "Welcome to the world." After a long moment of crying, the babies finally quieted down and smiled for the first time. I could see Lucy crying even more with joy. "Everything is finally peaceful."
"Yeah." I sighed. "I'm going to call Gray to see if they made it out of the castle." I handed Elliot over to Lucy and reached for my cell phone ; dialing Gray's number. After a while, he picked up. "You guys out yet?"
"Natsu, what ever you do, run!" Gray yelled in the phone.
I felt like my heart suddenly stopped beating. "What do you mean?"
"There's something messed up going on here! We barley made it out alive!" Gray yelled some more.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!" I screamed into the phone. But suddenly, the lines went dead. "What the hell did he mean!"
"I think that." I heard Lucy mutter gravley. I look over to her direction and stare at the sky and gazed at it with both awe and fear.
The once blue sky was now a scary shade of black, with thunder and lightning rumbling everywhere.
I've watched a good deal of movies to know what that means.
"Lucy, let's get out of here." I told her.
"Good idea." She said. She got up and handed me Louise. As I began to grow my wings, there was a eeire shrill coming from behind us. I looked back and saw what looked like a dark, black vortex swirling over the horizon, where the castle.
"W-What's that?" I asked.
Shrills of pure evil were coming from that vortex, and figures that I was not able to see were flying all round it. The babies began to cry agian, but it sounded more like fear than a snack.
"Hell's breaking loose, Natsu." Lucy whispered gravley.
