Finding Happiness, that should be a movie title. I think that with the past three years, I have acquired the necessary skills to understand where happiness come from.

My eight year old self thought that best friends are the bases of everything. But as life showed me, there is no such thing as best friends. One day, in the future, those who where closest to you become people that you used to know. So yah, friends make you happy, but just like a euphoric drug it does not last.

My seventeen year old self thought that family is the bases of everything including happiness, it turns out family is the bases of everything... it's just that they don't last. With the loss of my grandmother I have learned to understand the quote "Don't let your happiness depend on something you might lose." People are constantly dying and if you place such a large burden on something as flimsy as a humans life it crumbles.

So I started thinking, what other then religion, can help you find happiness. Something that will last as long as you... Then it hit me, the answer I was looking for "you."

Happiness, in my humble opinion, should depend on yourself. When you find your own motivation, and your own self worth and respect. When you see that you are great just the way you are. You are able to make yourself happy.

My journey with happiness has taught me that yes, many things can cause you to be happy, but those are temporary. The only thing that lasts forever is God, and hopefully he blesses you with the required amount of everything. The only thing that you can depend on to live as long as you is yourself, so smile with others and have great times. But know that you can radiate your own positive force field.

I know this sounds like bull crap, and honestly it's not. However, on the occasion that you reader are clinically depressed, then I urge you to do what is prescribed. Then, if you are willing to try, give yourself the opportunity to love yourself. It's easy to give up, but I pray that you, and everyone on earth is blessed.
