Chapter 28:

Doctor comes Neil and neela maa gets up.

Neil: doc doctor Avni how's she she is fine right.

Dr: Mr khanna let me say.

Neil: sorry.

Neil look at the doctor flashes in pictures from their first meeting till now doctor smiles.

Dr: congratulations operation is successful.

Neil and neela maa smiles with teary eyes tear fall from their eye.

Dr: but.

Their smile vanished.

Neil: but what doctor.

Dr: we can't say anything till she get conscious next 24 hours are crucial  as we all know the chances to survive was less but thankfully the operation was successful but next 24 hours are important if she open her eyes before that it's good if not then I am sorry the chances are that she will sleep in coma.

Neil and neela maa shocked.

Dr: but don't worry she is fine and I am sure she will open her eyes soon.

Neil: yes she will she have too doctor when we meet her.

Doctor: after sometime we shift her in the ICU then you will see her but make sure don't disturb her.

Doctor gave them persmision to meet because of their condition.

Neil: sure doctor we will be careful.

Doctor put his hand at his shoulder and went Neil saw neela maa is lost.

Neil: mamma relax she will be fine she will open her eyes soon.

Neela maa nodes yes and wipes her tears.

Nm: yes she will.

After sometime avni was shifted to the ICU nurse comes.

Nurse: only one can go in one time.

Neil: mamma you go then I will go.

She nodes yes and went she enters but she was wearing the mask gloves and blue gown to protect avni from infection neela maa cries to see her the machines was connected to her and oxygen mask was on her face she went to her and caress her hairs she stand for sometime then she went she comes outside Neil saw her.

Neil: mamma did she wake up.

Neela maa nodes no and caress his face then he went to see her he was also wearing the things which was weared by neela maa he saw her and tears falls from his eyes to see her he takes the steps back.

Neil whispers: avni.

He slowly went to her and holds her hand.

Neil: please avni wake up till when you will make me wait please my love wake up I am dying to talk to you please open your eyes I can't see you like this.

After sometime Neil went from there but he stops at the door and turns to see her and went outside and saw neela maa.

Neil: was she our avni the machines are connected to her body it must be paining she told me that she hates the machines  how she is bearing all that pain.

Neela maa cups his face and console him she was also crying.

Nm: relax Neil she is sleeping so she is not in pain calm down control your self.

Neil nodes yes 6 hours passed.

Neil: mamma 6 hours passed still she didn't open her eyes.

Neela maa was also scared.

Nm: relax Neil calm down you will become ill by taking this much stress.

Neil look at at her.

Nm: do one thing you go home I will call you when she get conscious.

Neil: no I will not go anywhere by leaving her here.

Nm: Neil I am with her you go and take some rest and you didn't eat anything since morning please go home.

Neil: no I will not go you go home I am here.

Nm: Neil.

Neil: please mamma I will not go anywhere I will die if I went from here please don't ask me to go from here atleast i can see her by living  here please understand.

Neela maa sighs.

Neil: you go home you need rest I am here with her.

Nm: Neil.

Neil: please mamma.

Nm: you both are stubborn.

Neil smiles with teary eyes she caress his face and went Neil saw avni from the glass of the door.

Neil: please open your eyes why are you doing this to me I know you are teasing me as you love to lease me but if you not open your eyes now then I will not talk to you.

He saw her slepping on the bed after sometime He was sleeping In sitting position on the bench he slept because he was exhausted he hears a voice.

Person: Neil.

Neil frown in sleep.

Person: Neil.

He open his eyes and saw avni is standing infornt of him she is smiling he gets up and smiles with teary eyes.

Neil: avni.

He hugs her.

Neil: avni thank God you wake up you  are fine you know how tensed I was.

Neil breaks the hug and cups her face.

Neil: are you ok why you come out you should take rest.

Avni: Neil relax I am fine I just come to see you.

Neil frown.

Neil: wh what do you mean.

Avni: Neil I am going please take care of yourself and mamma hmm.

Neil shocked avni turns to go Neil holds her hand.

Neil: no you can't do this to me you can't go I can't let you go anywhere.

Avni: Neil please understand.

Neil: no.

Slowly Their hands separated and avni vanished in the smoke.

Neil: avniii.

Neil wakes up with a jerk.

Neil: avniii.

He was sweating and breathing heavily he look here and there and realized that it was his dream.

Neil: what was that It was a dream.

Neil take a deep breathe.

Neil: thank God It was a dream but what if shut up Neil nothing happen to her.

Hw saw nurse came out from the room and was tensed she was hurriedly going from there Neil shocked.

Neil: what happened.

But no response He gets up and went to see her and shocked to see avni's condition she was shivering the flashes of dreams came in front of his eyes the fear of losing her clearly saw in his eyes.
