Kathir was damn sure he won't get a reply....why will he ....

He has been avoiding her for months now....

He didn't expect one either....he tried consoling himself.  But, he knew it was anything but a big fat lie...

Though her lack of trust over him still hurt, he wanted to know if she was proud  ...

Proud of his achievement...

She was the only person who knew what his future plan...

So...she was the only person who would know what it would mean for him...

Every once in ten or twenty minutes...he did peak into his phone...but in vain no reply...

Knowing he is only wasting his precious time, which his mind was chiding him for...

He switched off the phone and tried concentrating...

But it lasted only a couple of minutes...

A small commotion downstairs caught his attention and he went down to check what it was. 

It was his younger brother kanna...

What was he doing here ?? He wondered..

His semester were supposed to start in a couple of days...

So...seeing him at their house at this time made him confused and added on to his worry was the fact that his face was worn out...like as if he fought a lost battle and that's what his sister in law had questioned right away...

Kathir saw his eyes tearing up...

The moment moorthy heard this...all that was heard was a tight slap...

Before he could give him another slap...kathir stopped him...

Kat: anna....enna idhu....enna edhu ne kekama enna na...

Moo: padika vita enna da suspension nu solitu sadharanama solran....

Moo: enna manangati karanam....

Kathir felt like the earth split apart and consumed him...

Who was the girl??

Was it mullai??

He remembers that she hadn't tried contacting him for the past few days...

No it shouldn't be her...

Please god...

He prayed to all the Almighty he ever knew of...

Kat: yaar daa...he asked ...

He could hear his heart thudding out of chest....

Kan: shree nu oruthi....class la en bestie na....unaku theriyadhu...

The gush of air he left....his eyes teared involuntarily.....

He bloody wanted to see her and check if she was fine....

Just may be once...

So his fear doesn't consume him wholly..

Kan: naanga nariya per protest panom...

But ava college lendu veliya irundapo erandha....

Can't take any action nu management solidichu....

Avaluku justice lan kedaikala aana.....

Kan: enga phone lan vangitanga....hostel la stau panravungaludhu adhan....

N he left...

Kathir didn't know what to do...

He just went to his room....

He didn't know how he passed away time till sun showed up...

The moment first rays of sun marked their presence...

He freshened up...

He saw his anni downstairs...

Kat: dei enga da pora....

Dhan: anni enaku en project ku national recognition kedachiruku...

So adhu samandhama enaku konjam vela iruku....

Dhan: enga da.  bangalore aa...

Kat: aama anni...

Dhan: tkt da...

Kat: adhu lan naan pathukuren....

The next SETC bus took him to bangalore by noon....and the next auto to her college hostel....

With her phone not with her as per kanna....he was really confused how to meet her, when he felt a pat on his shoulder...

He turned around to see a tiny teenager girl...standing there with a bright smile...

Girl; jiju....

That word for sure sent him spark...

Kat: her roommate???

Girl: abhi...

She shook her hand...

Girl: aap idhar...??

Kat: hmmm???

Girl: as in you here?? U came to see dii??

Kathir nodded his head...

She flashed her best smile...n her face worn out...

Girl: am sorry....

Kat: haan??

Girl: hadn't i called you that day...all those confusion....

Kat: it's okey...lack of trust doesn't have anything to do with you dear...

How is she ??

I know she ll be angry...

I just want to meet her, even if it's from a distance....

Just to ensure she is fine...Please....

Abhi: I will just be back...why don't you wait near the statue...and she rushed to bring her sister....

She was guilty of being the reason both of them fought...

Now she was at peace...

Abhi: dii...neeche avo na...

Mul: I have sem

Abhi: bas das minute...

Mul: okey fine and followed her....

Where r we going???

Abhi: kuch kareedna tha....

Mullai nodded her head...

Both of them had started understanding the basics of both language though they couldn't respond back...

A mullai for sure made her to snap her neck....

The sound was too familiar...

He gave out a tiny smile...

Abhi: I will just be back and she vanished as if into thin air...

Neither of them spoke a word...

They were busy staring each other and accessing them...

Mul: enna innum nyabagam vachirukiya???

Kat: marandha dane...aana unaku dahn en mela  nambika illaye...

Kat: nope...aisha nu soladha...ava enna sonalum unaku en mela nambiak irundirundha ...

His smile traced away...

Paravala...

Trust is something we gain...

And I suppose I haven't gained it.

But he was stopped....his fingers were clasped and he was pulled back...

Mul: sorry kathir....why can't u give me a chance ...

And her eyes teared up....

And that was how they were watched by a pair of eyes, who was confused seeing them....

He knew both of them for sure....but didn't know something was cooking up between them...

Their eyes and face spoke about the relationship they shared...

He wasn't sure if he should convey the same to vetri...or even if vetri knew it...

As far as he knew...he assumed vetri would have known about them and let it be wishing the best for the couple....

Kat: nee en sorry solra...its my mistake...I should have earned that trust...

Mul: adhaye solli savadikadha....

He knew she was suffering her face was a mirror to her heart...

Kat: nee azhadha....exams iruku adula concentrate panu...

Rest everything can wait....

Mul: kathir....

Kat: kenjadha....am fine...lets start afresh.....namaku theriyum la ipo...

How much we know each other ...what we need to know nu...

He tightened his hold on their entwined fingers..

Sem mudiya july ayidum....

Kat: okey...lets go somewhere near and they went to nearby park....

A small chat of how their life was and how much they missed each other was more than enough to make the time fly away...

She was sooper happy for him...he was just steps away from accomplishing a major part of their dream...

Promising to try his max to come once again....he left...

But time had a different play for them for their love....

June and July went about in same pace...her sem exams and his entrance prep...and his visa interview...

His entrance exam had postponed and he could go only for spring semester...and he planned to utilise his time effectively....

They gave back their phone only on the day their exam ended...

But, then he had went to Delhi for a national cyber workshop for two month...

It was a reward for his project...

Only one rupee phone was available there and he regretted not knowing her number by heart....

He couldn't ask anyone either....

His days went about in missing her....
