[6] ♥ The Notes ♥

(Here are the first set of notes in Jane's Blue Journal)

#1
(~Evening~)

-Hello, my new friend! Welcome to my world, where everything will be explained about my life, by me. I almost forgot - the name's Jane Louise Cherisher. I got one, first name; a middle name and a surname. It sounds unique, right?

It's a blessing, to me. Without it, I could never be like my Mom and Dad. Or without them, I could never be Jane, whose middle name is Louise and her surname is Cherisher.

Hmm. I bet I made ourselves confused, right now. Well, if you're a human, that is.

Anyways, I'm a 15-year-old with a pretty, imaginative mind, who loves anime since 3rd grade, drawing, singing and reading books. I'm also interested in gadgets, for playing games, reading e-books and playing music in different genres.

And I have secrets to tell you. Which I will tell - later. Lol.

As of now, I'm in Grade 9 - which basically stands for third year in junior high, and all I do is study, then enjoy my hobbies, like phone gaming, Wattpad updating and. . .umm. . .anything awesome for moi.

So, how do people describe your own, new journal writer?

Actually, they can't really tell. Each one of them sees me differently. Let's just say. . .I have a very, very unique personality.

Dealing with me depends. Sometimes, they see me as the girl with a smile, stretched on her face, and a very nice aura. Or the girl, who had a stern look, strict, straightforward and was frightened of by others.

They say I had the ways of imitating some girls' mannerism and the class' catch phrases for fun. Others think I'm a killjoy, a teacher's pet, feelingerang tomboy and a control-freak, altogether.

Whatever are the positives and the negatives, they don't bother me so much (or maybe just a few). All I did was being myself. Nothin' else.

Although, they could say what they want from their own perspectives, I hope that they shouldn't double-cross a person, who gets easily ticked off and would likely to strike the opponent, afterwards. Which this person, is none other than the girl, who writes about herself within this very pages.

Prone to sickening ways of making kids become pessimists and jeerers in the near future, I have never been disregarded among the people, in the list of 'poor weaklings'. But one thing for sure, like any other cry baby, who wished to be saved by mommy and daddy - I learned the rules of an experienced, on how to endure, avoid and fight back.

And that, too, became a part of me. It wasn't my fault, for being a bit of a. . .i don't know. . .pro-antagonist (?)

Yeah.

It's a character that resembles the blood, running in my veins (Dad's 'bad-boy' blood, actually), and the scars and nightmares of my childhood past, which formed a wall to shield and swords to threaten.

(These words sound much confusing, than the first one. Oh, well. Move along.)

Guess that's all I could say for myself. And a few more words, I shall be going - to sleep.

Before I could say farewell, let me tell you, how I got you, in the first place.

You were my third diary (also my second journal) I'd made contact with, for four years of no story-telling, using my pen or pencil.

I wrote POV entries before, since childhood, and all were full, inside the book-binded notebooks. As long as I remember, my first diary, which I named Flora Pinky, was a gift from Mommy, who went to Manila and stayed for months, just for her police schooling. Then, after her, comes Garden Checker, which describes her own exterior, and the colorful notes, with simple flower designs within. My second diary became my first journal, so after I filled it up everything, that I wish to linger once read, I stopped.

I was in fifth grade, when the last page was full of my hand-written words of my everyday story.

Now, I had the chance to write about my highschool life, this time.

Remember the man, with a yellow shirt, who promotes the company named 'IdeaWorld'? I'm sure you do.

He gave you to me, as a token for participating their tech program.

Basically, this program is for the students from college departments, teachers, adult experts and online entrepreneurs. As the only junior high student, attending this business management program (who went in to witness the gaming and animation masters, with the help of her own, loving mother - though, it was too late, since they performed yesterday) I was one of the luckiest and bravest people, who came forward and stood at the stage, with the man in the yellow shirt.

He interviewed the four of us, with a pleasant character, showing a nice way of welcoming people, who are somewhat interested of their plans and business. Afterwards, he called his best pal and assisstant, sitting amidst the people, in their tables, who brought a few things to him and he handed out each of us an IdeaWorld application form (just in case, if we or anyone we know are interested to innovating work) and a neat bonus for us to take home.

That's how I met your mother. I mean - - -ehem* ehem* - - - that's how I got you.

I'm quite surprised that I've recieved something in return. And I was very thankful, to Sir Darren.

Yes. That's his name.

So, umm. .the time has come and the clock struck to 9 pm. Mom's calling me to get some shut eye, after a long day in school.

But, don't worry. I'll be back for more stories, tomorrow. And I'm sure that you'll gonna love it.

(P.S - I was thinking if what would be your name, lately. Since I started writing, I wasn't able to think about it. I'll just give your name tomorrow.) :)

(~Afternoon~)

- Good aftie, dear Journal-Of-My-Everything!

For now on, this will be your new name. I hope you like it. 'Cuz you really mean to me.

Today, I spent the whole Friday morning, watching Magical Ponies and Friends in our favorite cartoon channel, since we had no classes, due to the scheduled, whole day practice of our senior's graduation.

It's sad, knowing some of my senior friends are whining like 8-year-old kids and cursing words, right after attending their practice, which they want to cancel and demand for a time to rest.

While writing this entry, I'm also chatting online, with Kuya Darren, my new friend among the other seniors. He's among the kids, cursin' out words, just to express their anger and stress, after the repetitive rehearsal today.

He wanted to play all day, instead of attending school. Like he always do, when he skips classes in some subjects. I guess.

By the way, he's also one of my co-members in YALC Club (which stands for Young Artists of Lourdescian College - Club).

Actually, I rarely see him during club meeting. Even among the senior students. Guess at first, he's not the kind of guy, who tags along with everybody. How do we became friends?

Well, here's the story:

A long, long time ago. . .

( ' o ' ).b { ° ° ° )

Nah. Just kidding. What am I? Telling a fairy tale? It'll take me hours, if I do. XD Hahaha

Okay. Okay. Enough funny business. Time. To. Be. Serious.

( T _ T ) serious look*

Okay. Now, where was I? Right.

I was discussing about the recent activities and events, wherein our club contributed our artistic works, so far. Though, I am only our club's female discipline officer, our club moderator, Ms.Loveen Isaac, called me to step in front and enumerate them, before my fellow members and schoolmates. Usually, I would end up relaxed until I sit back to my chair. But when I saw all their gazes at me, while listening (including the boys from the senior level. .who miraculously attend the last meeting), I felt my voice slowly shaking and waver.

I didn't notice Kuya Darren's attentive stare, back then. Though, catching a glimpse of him, while speaking might meant that he's also listening to me.

Good thing that the Corp. Commander from the senior level knocks on our door and excused all the members, for the afternoon assembly of the cadets and cadettes, including the DLC members and LCian Majorettes. Once he left, to catch up with his own group outside, some of our schoolmates stood up, panicking and hurrying their 1/8 sheets of paper, with their written name and some other details on it.

A few more words, I'm almost done with my evaluation, when Ms. Loveen told me to sit back and thanked me.

Since we've got a few minutes, before our meeting ends, I decided to put my sketchbook and a pencil case, full of pens and Mongol pencils, back inside my bag which I placed at the back. (I was sitting in front, with Elissa amd Grace, so yeah. . . ^ ^)b*

Just as I put them inside, a guy sitting behind the seat asked me to lend him a pen. Looking at him, it was Kuya Darren. He's somewhat a lay-back kid, with a 'cool guy' characteristic. That's what I thought. At the same time, he's the kind of guy, whom people need to stay away from, judging by the serious look on his face.

I shouldn't be afraid of him, in the first place, yet, because of my impressions about him, I slowly step aback, while giving my pen to him.

Though, the way how he speak to me seems to be a good sign, that he's harmless, I still have my little doubts and should really. . .really stay out of his way. Much better. . .most of the time.

After filling up the little sheet of paper, he handed it back like a proffessional. (oh, wait - - - how would I know, if he's good in using pens as his mediums? hehe. Silly.)

A few moments after, he followed the other cadets outside, leaving 18 present attendees (including me) behind.

That last club meeting wasn't the only time, I saw and met him. I remembered, that the whole Highschool level had a big event, to end the month of January, and we're the ones who are in-charge with the decorating.

Seeing a few present members around, the ones who took initiative and finished the decorating - is me, Kuya Jolo, Kuya Fred, Kuya Seattle (or was it Seetle? meh. Whatev's), Dree and Kuya Darren.

These guys helped me out, including the good-natured newbie, Dree. And yes - the only female around was just me, too. Good thing we made it, before the afternoon event starts.

And uhh - the time I got to know him well (and knew that his name is Darren) - is during my stay in the computer lab.

That was last week, when I had my wallet empty, after spending an hour and a half, staring on the screen before me, while typing away the text from my notepad, for my cram project in PE.

Besides of that, I surf for my fave manga, Koe no Katachi and Blood Lad. They are just awesome and I really wanna finish them.

Anyways, as the only third year student inside the room, I skipped my last class (though, I made an important excuse to our class president to allow me - which she did, during recess), just to finish and print my encoded project.

That's the time I saw him again. With a small pat on the shoulder, I didn't know that he and his other friend, Ate Lorennie were there. Waving a hand, I went back on typing. While waiting for his friend to finish her own work, he took a chair from the desk beside me for a chat.

Just as he saw me reading the Blood Lad manga, he started talking about it, which caught my interest and started talking to him, too. Out of the blue, he told me about a time, he saw me for a few moments, outside with the whole family (he's in 7Eleven, having his morning snacks). With wide eyes, I turned to him, "Really? Since when? Where?"

The conversation was longer than I thought it would. And hedge, did I know a thing, that he was also a close friend and classmate of Kuya Hans.

Kuya Hans. . .is my crush. A tall guy with smarts and umm. .charm. Ehehe.

I had a crush on him for almost four months. . .and I don't know why I pick him. Maybe it just came to me and bam! I am into him. Without him knowing. Lol.

This is what I want to talk about, yesterday, before I head to bed. Yet, again, I would be cutting my long story short, for now, because my sister (who does mom's duty, this time), is telling me to stop writting and log off in FB.

Before I did it, I said my 'good night' to Kuya Darren, since it's a long day for him and now, I'm writing a few more words, before signing my name below.

(PS - I would like you to know that I use English, most of the time, when I write my journal entries. I hope you're not the type of notebook, who gets nosebleeds, without me knowing. Ehehehe.)

See you in my next entry. Buh-bye~

(~Afternoon~)

-It's 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I just got home from school. We had Rondalla practice, so I went out again.

Today's the last day of exams. Final exams, to be precise. And thank God I survived.

But, do you know that there are tons of things that happened to me, today?

No.

Now, you will know about it.

This morning, I left the house fifteen minutes before 7, which is not a good thing. Luckily, Dad decided to take me to school with his motorcycle, which will only take him 11 minutes to reach there.

Getting a blue jacket, I didn't notice that I've missed something, as I left with Dad. And that, my dear friend. . .is my ID. Great.

2 minutes before 7, I arrived the school in time. But the guards didn't let me through. Why?

Not in proper uniform.

Huh? Unaware that I had no ID slung around my neck was a slight relief.

But that. . .!

Oh, c'mon! Can't they see I'm wearing one?
Or wearing P.E uniform is not allowed?

I think I've forgotten about this new policy that Ms. Vengeance declared months ago. (Hey, no offense, that's her real surname.)

Yet, we should have the rights to wear our 'comfortable' clothes, these days. Why is that?

There are four reasons why we do so.

Number One - it's Saturday and we really deserve to wear pants and shirts and rubbahshoes. (Literally.)

Number Two - we've got two more weeks, before we get out and embrace our 'hallelujiah!'.

Number Three - this is our last day of exams. Why don't she just give us our little freedom for now?

And Number Four - wala lang. Trip ko lang mag-lagay ng 'number four' sa lista. Ahahaha. XD (Para even, no~)

So, the guards informed me to stay in the waiting area, while waiting for Ms. Vengeance to arrive - with the others.

It's quite surprising to see half of my present classmates and frassmates around, wearing their PE uniforms, as well. Among these kids were Tris and Louen. Haha.

However, some of them were very unlucky for wearing casual clothings.

Taking a seat next to my two, female frassmates, Andy and Janessa, I took out my reviewers (mainly : my notebook and books) and start reviewing.

Btw, before Dad left, he asked me why I didn't enter, which I gave a few explanations and also told him about my ID which I left at home.

Good thing he wasn't mad. He's in 'cool' mode, so he just understood my situation.

I spend half an hour, reviewing for my last subs and wished for little miracles to happen later. For I have less time, taking care of exam preparations. In other words: I'm cramming for jam-packed knowledge.

Although, I wasn't ready with the examination, I know that the last, two topics in Math would be easy.

And I'm serious about this, because my participation ratings in this difficult sub increased in a few, but satisfying percentages.

If anyone would ask me about this, I'll bet that I'll have my last Math exam marked 90+.

Of course, I'll remain humble as much as possible - or I'll turn my fortune into bad luck.

While the exam is going on, after the flag ceremony, all the seniors and some junior participants in CAT, DLC and LCian Majorettes gather inside the mini hallroom, at the ground floor. They are preparing for the CAT turnover.

Taking a peek inside the campus, girls and boys wore their uniforms, walking back and forth on their shined, black shoes and sparkling heels.

I also spotted some of my classmates, wearing their cadet and cadette uniforms, which looks good on them.

I wonder what I'll look like, when I wore one like them.

And wait. . . .where's Kuya Darren?

I told myself mentally that he was late, since he's not around and there are still students arriving jus this time with their uniforms worn.

I did a few more memorizations, and capture the most important details in my head, so I won't regret leaving my answers blank and encircled the letters randomly.

The time I had my focus in my Science lesson, this time, my eyes caught a glimpse of the person, whom I've been looking for.

Pausing from reading, I gaze at Kuya Darren, walking straight inside, with the serious look on his face while carrying his CAT cap. I still don't know if he's an officer, or just a regular cadet, since I forgot if he had a sword with him and had high rank patches on his shoulders.

I felt okay, as I look at him from afar, but it seems. . .different. I was like, getting a bit concerned about him, and then, a thought of him remained at the back of my mind, no matter how I want to set that aside, so I could focus in my exams.

Ms. Vengeance came out from her office, by 8 am, after signing the last batch of clearances from the senior level and met us in the waiting area. Before I was taken arrested (nah! Jk - I wasn't arrested, hahaha) - Mom came to the rescue, with a bag in her hand and an excuse to throw. . .I mean. . .to give to Ms. Vengeance.

Inside the bag that she handed over were my ID, uniform and my black shoes. Eyeing me, before she leaves for work, she told me to discuss about this, after my exams.

I went inside, leaving my pals with Ms. Vengeance. It's just sad. I felt guilt in my chest, as I turn to Andy, Janessa, Louen and Tris. If only we had time to think of a way, to get in together.

Proceeding to the restroom first, as I got into the second floor, I changed my clothes, until Mom forgotten two things to bring with her: my undershorts and her phone.

I saw her Lenovo phone, inside my shoe. She must've slip it there, as she was in a hurry to meet me and get to her office in time.

Not allowing myself to spend another half an hour inside the restroom, I went out, carrying my schoolbag, the eco-bag with my PE and shoes. . .and feel the chill wind, blowing.

Yup. I am not used to not wearing undershorts. In school, that is.

If only she knew that I always had my clothes for school, inside the closet, at the feet of my hanged, ironed uniforms.

Bahala na si Batman.

Sana sa hindi ako lokohin ni Hangin, dahil. . .kailangan ko nang matapos ang exam.

Once I entered my room, I went to the front and apologized to our substitute proctor, for being late and kindly asked for my testpapers.

Even if my classmates are now dealing with the last page of the first sub, I still catched up. And I was right! Math - is easy.

Finishing the last exams was tough, by the way. Which I paused in the middle of answering and stared blankly in thin air.

I was supposed to be thinking about my choice of good answers - not Kuya Darren, who's-attending-the-CAT-turn-over-program. Geez.

Snapping myself out of my lil' daydream, I did my best to answer the questions and bet for good scores, at the end of the last week of my school year.

And I made it, until the bell rang. Lunchtime came, and the seniors have left, after the ceremony. Oh well. Just when I was about to meet them.

That's all for now.
I have to go and do my chores. People need me in the house. Jaa nee~

(~Evening~)

- Oh, man! Oh, man! Oh, man! We are going to Masbate, JOME!! And I'm sooo excited to meet my relatives again. Especially our little cousins.

They are on my mother' side. And it's our third visit, since the last time was last year, when I was in eight grade. Oh, such joyful memories.

Well, it's 7:20 pm and we're now packing our stuff for our summer vacay. I'm already done, so I have time to write down every word that I wish to leave in your pages.

But this doesn't mean I'll leave you here - I'll take you along with me. After all, bringing my journal won't weigh much burden, besides of my clothes and personal stuff.

We will be staying there for three weeks. Quite enough to satisfy ourselves in enjoyment with the whole fam.

I'll be sleeping by 8 pm, so we could wake up by 3 am sharp and get outta here as early as 4:50. Lol.

Anyways, I realized that you kinda' missed me. After five days without my presence. Sowwy, my journal-of-my-everything.

Naww worries, 'cuz I'll keep you updated. I hope you won't cry. (You might tear yourself apart - lel)

Just kidding. But really - in case you really shed tears, without me looking ;)

Now, what will I miss, after we left the place?

Hmm. . .lemme enumerate.
1- I'll miss my room. (obviously)
2- I'll miss my bestie. (Rosean :'( )
3- I'll miss my pet, Mikan. (he'll live without cat food - we still got some mice in the attic, sooo. . .)
4- I'll miss Kuya. (hmm. . .lemme think about that XD )
5- I'll miss Iriga. (loyal citizen - pfft)

I guess this is it. Ehehehe.

Now, that I've checked the time - it's 7:41 pm. Maybe thinking about the things/people that I'll miss took me a bit like forever.

Oh, well. Should really. . .really get to bed. Noo moh all nahtehs foh now :3 (gets?)

'Course not. Jk. XD

P.S - Here's the translation, if you want: (No more all nighters for now.) I hope this helps. G'night.

#5
(~Morning~)

- I got too excited to make you wait, until we get there. In fact, I don't wanna waste my phone's battery, while waiting for the ferry with my aunt Mabel.

Mommy-dear and the boys went to the nearest loading station, to load their phones and for my bro's pocket WiFi.

I decided to stay with Tita Mabel to chat with her, since she's one of my fave aunts. She's more like an older sister to me, not to mention that she's actually 24. Also, Kuya Andy is two years younger than her, so instead of calling her tita (since he's Mom's stepson and Dad is his legal father), he'll stick with Ate Mabel.

It's 9:14 am and we're at Sorsogon Port. I put back my phone inside my pocket, since I don't wanna disturb him.

Kuya Darren, to be precise.

It's not that I'm mad at him, but frankly upset. Why?

Because he likes someone else.

And lemme' tell you this. . .I just realized that ever since I got his drawing and we bond together with my friends in the café, my inner self knocks to my heart and whispered, "I had a crush on him."

Of course! I freaked out, after I woke up from a dream of nothing-to-be-seen except for the voice of mine, saying those very words, all over again.

Oh boy. Maybe that's the reason why I will miss him.

Hmm? Will he miss me too?

Anyways, it's time I should end this piece of memo for now. My parents are here and so are the trouble-monkeys. Tita Mabel almost saw the contents of these pages, too.

Boy, I should hide ya now!

Don't wanna see you in their hands.

Nu-uh. ;)

Well, God bless to our trip to Masbate~

- Jane ♥

+  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +

Sorry for my cut-off updates. And it took me awhile to finish this, too.

Well, I'm still thankful for checking this out, guys!!~

You could also read Jane's fave manga books: Koe no Katachi and Blood Lad.

Well, then - 'til next time. Ciao!!
