Well, crap.
Well, I am in a bit of a pickle.
IT'S NOT ENTIRELY MY FAULT!
Let me explain.
I went out to try and get me some fresh air. I got a few pokeballs chucked in my direction, but since I already had one, I had no need to worry, and just tossed the pokeballs back to the forlorn trainers with my feelers. It was going to be a day in which nothing new would take place.
But things don't work like that, apparently.
I was enjoying myself on this walk. The weather wasn't usually this nice. The sun was out, and it made the snow shine unusually bright. I liked it. A pokeball was thrown, and I caught it, tossing it back. This trainer was especially upset that I was not wild, because he took up a pokeball from his belt and threw it. This didn't happen often, so I was a bit unprepared, and even more so taken aback when the pokemon was another Sylveon! I barely managed to shake off the surprise as the trainer yelled an attack. I pranced out of the way of a flash of light that snapped against the pavement. This wasn't your ordinary Sylveon; its blue color gave away its status as a shiny female.
I wasn't about to lose. I fought hard, determined to show this impudent trainer what for. I was doing a fantastic job of dodging all I could, but I was growing tired, the strength starting to leak away. It was fantastic timing, the next attack. I was hit by something utterly suffocating, then suddenly it was gone. What happened next I regret that I still remember.
This attack was a doozy; hearts floated around me, and my vision blurred. I felt my heart quicken, and my joints wobbled, threatening to let me collapse. But what happened emotionally was the most embarrassing. I felt like the Sylveon I was dueling wasn't really so bad. But not bad. I felt like I was in love, all over again. I desperately shook my head side to side to clear it, but to no avail.
Apparently, I couldn't attack any more, so I staggered up to the opponent and tackled her over. This alarmed the Sylveon, but must have gone to plan, by the look on the trainer. Then, most embarrassingly, I kissed her. I couldn't stop myself. This attack was a potent one, and I hated every second of it.
What happened next is something I am eternally grateful to Dewmaru for.
Suddenly, a Scalchop smacked into my head, knocking me over and sending stars crisscrossing in my vision. But the hearts went away, and I shook my head, looking up in time to see the other Sylveon fall over stunned as well, the other Scalchop spinning to a stop on the ground next to her. Dewmaru was in a stance, one I recognized him as his own technique. the trainer tossed out a Purrloin in an effort to try to repeat on Dewmaru what he had to me. But Dewmaru was no fool, and quickly took out the little temptress. This angered the trainer, who promptly resorted to blunt force. A Quiladin attacked relentlessly, but Dewmaru did a great job keeping it at bay. However, he definitely took some hits, and both were wavering as they stood. Dewmaru looked almost out for the count.
"Quiladin! Vinewhip!"
The round pokemon readied the attack.
"Quila-DI-"
I snapped Moonblast right into him. The Quiladin toppled over. I stood threateningly, glaring at the trainer. He glowered back and took Quiladin back into the ball. His Sylveon eventually found her feet, and looked back at me. But she wasn't giving me a look that spelled disdain or disgust, but more like an afar off interest. Then she winked at me.
I felt like a rock had taken lodging in my stomach. She was into me now. Dewmaru walked with me back to the house.
"What was that all about?" he asked.
"Ugh... she used Charm on me... and I couldn't do much against it."
Dewmaru nodded amenably.
"I hope Glaceon understands." he said.
Now the rock in my stomach is gone.
It's now a giant ball of ice.
This won't be fun to tell to Glaceon.
