Mom...?
DEAR MOLLY
I arrived in Carsden today.
I know, it's incredibly dumb to tell you where I am but- considering the facts, I don't think it matters.
The place is honestly wonderful. The trees, the hills, It's gorgeous! oh how I wish I could show you. But you have never really wanted anything to do with me. I doubt that changed.
That's fine
It's okay
I know why now.
In any case, the people here aren't used to strangers I guess. I was met with kindness, yes that's for sure. An old woman even gave me a free apple! (I broke off the brown parts) But there was an underlying element in their faces, they all looked...
Spooked?
It had me worried for abit. I decided to look through some recent newspaper and found the weirdest thing.
Animal attacks.
I've heard about them. Yes, who hasn't got a Dave who was killed by a bear but this was different.
Horrific.
I hoped they didn't let children read the newspapers. I was going to have nightmares.
Well,
More.
I knew I wasn't the only out of towner. they're must have been more considering the festival popularity. But it didn't feel that way. I was alone, for the first time in nineteen years, I was alone.
So of course I immediately went to Wendy, promised her chocolate to let me stay with her. She agreed of course, she was effortlessly kind, just like Daddy was. But everytime I looked at her, I saw you.
Will I ever earn the right to call you mom again?
-Bonnie
PS. Wendy doing well, you'll be pleased to know she even got a rich boyfriend. If only he had a better face.
