Thunderstorms: Part 2
Jade sighed, leaning against a wall in Tori's living room. Another thunderstorm was going on, and Tori was at an audition. Jade was a little upset, but knew her girlfriend had to do this. She sighed, her head leaning against the wall, creating a small thud when it hit. She let out a yelp as another bolt of lightning, followed immediately by thunder, came down. She blushed, looking down at her feet. "Cmon, Jade. You can do this," she whispered to herself, sighing. She sighed and got to her legs shakily, using the wall for balance.
In the meanwhile, Tori was looking at a screen, watching as Jade started to move. Cat, Andre, Beck, and Robbie were behind her. Robbie had Rex, of course.
"Why are we watching Jade, again?" Cat asked in her usual squeaky voice.
"She's terrified of thunder and lightning, so I'm testing her. If she can get through this without breaking down or quitting, she passes," Tori explained, frowning as Jade stumbled a bit getting to the couch. The girl on the screen looked around, fear in her eyes and posture.
"What does she get if she wins?" Andre asked, looking at Tori for some sort of reason for all of this. The brunette just shrugged, assuming love was enough.
Jade looked around, the rain hitting the entire house. She was terrified, but decided to try and get over her fear. She sat on the couch, looking out the window at the rain. A bolt of lightning came down, and she sunk into the couch as thunder came after it.
She groaned, getting up and getting an idea.
Tori raised an eyebrow as Jade got up, switching the camera so she could get a better view of what her girlfriend was doing. "What-?"
Cat sat next to Tori, watching the screen. "Maybe she got cold."
"If she was cold, she would just use the blankets I have on the couch. Besides, the only way I got her up last time was with a lot of persuasion and actual help by me. I have no idea what she's doing," Tori said, looking at the paler girl on the screen.
Jade sighed, walking slowly up he stairs. She could swear she heard something, and she could swear it sounded like a person. She screamed as another loud roar of thunder came, and she fell down the steps. She got up, mentally face palming. If there was an murder in the house, they would definitely know Jade was here.
Tori winced sympathetically for Jade, who just fell down the stairs. I wish I could just be there and help her.
Andre raised an eyebrow. "Don't you wanna help her?"
"This is helping her. I think," she sighed.
"How did you even get out of the house on a night it was gonna storm?"
"I told her I had an audition," Tori replied, watching Jade get up.
Jade stood, grabbing a knife. There was no way a murderer was taking her away from Tori. She walked up the stairs again, ignoring the bolt of lightning that came next. She looked around, listening for footsteps.
Tori sat wide eyed as Jade grabbed a knife, walking up the stairs. "Oh sh*t," she stood.
"What?" Beck looked at her.
"I didn't put up camera's upstairs," she rushed, running to the doorway.
"Tori you need to stay here! The storm is too-"
Robbie was cut off, the power doing the same. The computer also shut off, a now blank screen showing.
"J-Jade?" Tori turned to the screen, walking back to the computer slowly.
Jade tensed as the power went out, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She gripped the knife, turning the corner and walking into Tori's room, which they now shared. She walked to their bed, dropping the knife and letting the tears spill. She couldn't stay strong any longer, and she jumped onto the bed, grabbing makeup remover and taking off her makeup. She then hugged a pillow, which smelt of Tori, burying her face into it. She cried, pulling a blanket over her and the pillow. If only Tori was here, I would be okay. But I just can't do it.
Tori opened the door, the strong wind closing it a second later. she groaned, pacing around Cat's house. "How am I suppose to get to her?!"
"Tori, calm down," Andre said, standing. "I'm sure Jade's fine," she said in a calming voice.
"And if she's not?! What if she's on the floor crying because of the thunder, because of the lighting, because she might be hurt?! What do it do then?" she started to cry, falling to her knees.
"She's okay, Tori. Jade is a smart girl," Beck reassured, smiling.
Jade had passed out, tear stains on Tori's pillow. In her sleep, Jade dreams of just before Tori left.
"Jade, I'll be back. It's just one audition," Tori smiled, wiping a small tear from Jade's eye. Jade shook her head, her arms wrapped around the Latina's waist. She buried her face in the crook of Tori's neck, hugging her still. Tori laughed a little, wrapping her arms around Jade's neck. "I'll be back. Be strong for me, okay?"
Jade finally nodded, but didn't let go.
Tori laughed. "Jade, honey, strong means letting me go," she kissed Jade's forehead as the goth girl slowly unwrapped her arms, nodding.
"Be back soon?"
Tori nodded, smiling and opening the door. "I love you," she walked out, closing it and leaving Jade behind.
Tori sighed, remembering that. "She didn't want me to go, but I still left," she sat on the ground, running her hands through her hair. "I wish I didn't."
