Before indopak partition people were making jokes on sardar. When the jokes gain popularity Sikh community went on strike. Nehru took notice of the issue and called the leader of Sikh community to settle things. The leader demanded to stop making jokes on sardar. Nehru asked him to bring the most intelligent or well qualified sardar to answer his one question and he also promised to banne the jokes if he provides the right answer.

The day was decided and sardar community gathered in a big ground. A well qualified sardar doctor was nominated to answer the question. Nehru called him in his room and offered him tea. But he refused the offer by saying "I'm too busy that I don't have time for such people and such things so hurry up." Nehru asked him "3 people lives in my house; my daughter and my wife tell me who's the 3rd person" ? Sardar Dr. Thought for a while and said "please repeat your question" it happened many times but finally Sardar Dr. Accepted his defeat and demanded the answer. Nehru replied " very simple it's Nehru (me). "
When sardar came out of the room with sad face Sikh community asked him about the question that Nehru asked.
He said " 3 people lives in my house, my daughter and my wife. Tell me who's the 3rd person"?

There was dead silence in the gathering. He replied" very simple it's Nehru " :)
