1: Moving In

1 month later...

Sarah was having trouble with rent and didn't want to ask Sophie and Gary for more rent money. She didn't want to use Arthur's money he saved for her unless for emergency, but this seemed an emergency. Faith and Jr were in school with Gary jr and Gigi.

Sarah was so stressed out that she broke down holding the bills. Just then her phone rang, and it was Buggy, video-calling her. He'd been mostly quiet for the past month but now he was calling her. She tried to calm herself down and answered the video call, "H-Hey, B-Buggy..,"

"Sarah, I'm sorry. I need your help," he wasn't looking into the camera, but he was wearing an apron and was covered in flour, "I need you to teach me how to cook. Could you do that, please? It'll only take a couple hours, right?" he sounded desperate.

"...you need me to come over?"

He then looked into the camera, "that would be awesome—" he then frowned slightly, "you've been crying. Yes. Come over. You can talk to me about whatever's on your mind."

Before she could say anything else, he ended the video. Sarah sighed and went to Hope and picked her up as she held her Uncle Buggy doll. She then bundled her up and herself since it was now winter. She took her purse and keys, picked her up and left the apartment. She went to Sophie's apartment first.

Sophie opened the door "oh hey, Sarah. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Sophie knew Sarah had lost her best friend Harley, so was doing her best to be even extra supportive. As if loosing Arthur wasn't hard enough for her.

"Bug called me and needs me, so when the kids come home could you watch them? I don't know how it will be, but it shouldn't be that long. Please?" Sarah asked.

"Ba ba ba," Hope babbled sucking the Buggy doll's hand.

"Of course" Sophie took Hope and the bag with all her things in it, "I hope it goes well. I know you haven't really seen him since.....the funerals" Sophie looked down, "anyway....give him our love."

"I will."

"Bu Bu.." Hope was tearing up.

"Oh, honey. I know you want to see your uncle, but you will see him soon," she kissed her daughter's forehead, "Thank you, Sophie."

She then head out.

Once to Buggy's house she knocked on the door. She heard a crash inside making her jump slightly and Buggy cussed.

Buggy then came to the door, covered in flour and pink frosting. Behind him the smoke detector was going off in the kitchen, because he'd burned a batch of cupcakes

"Hey sis....," he hugged her, forgetting that he was a mess, "come on in before I burn the place down," he gently pulled her inside.

She coughed and turned off the oven. She grabbed a towel and fan out the smoke detector once he opened the window. "How long did you leave them in there and how is the temperature? 500!? What the heck!? It should be 350, silly goof." She coughed again, but luckily he smoke was clearing up.

"How was I supposed to know that? I'm not a chief, I'm a pirate. Harley she...she used to be more of a cook. She enjoyed it," he looked down sadly, "....but I can't keep feeding the kids junk food. Takeout and microwave meals. Their mom would kill me. So I've been trying to learn but I'm just no good at it," he sighed.

Sarah sighed and started to make a new batch, "it's alright, Bug, I will help ya. Come on, I'm sorry for upsetting you."

"You haven't upset me. I'm pretty much upset all of the time anyway," he went to stand beside her and watched what she was doing, "if I can't even bake cakes, how am I going to learn to cook meals? Something tells me it's going to take longer than an hour or two, right?"

"With me, it shouldn't be that long to teach you." She patted his arm. "How are Lucy and Binky?"

"Binky is still sad, you can just tell. It's like he knows that I'm not okay, even though I try my best to fake it for them. Lucy still doesn't seem to fully understand it. She'll wake up in the night crying and ask for her mommy," he quickly wiped a tear away and sniffled, "....how's Faith and Jr, and baby Hope? I've missed them."

"Hope doesn't understand...so she keeps asking about you...Jr is worried about me seeing how much pain I am in...Faith...," her lips quiver, "she is taking it...very...very hard. I caught her the other day...," she then broke down.

Buggy took the whisk from her and set it down so he could pull her into a hug, "it's okay Sarah.... you can tell me. Just... let it out."

"...she was...hurting herself. I panicked and grabbed...the knife from her and I yelled at her asking her why she would do that...," she sobbed in his chest.

"Oh Sarah, I'm so sorry....is she okay? Can you send her to therapy? Binky just started, I'm hoping it helps him. It should help Faith."

"...I can't afford it...we are about to be kick out also..."

"What?! Are you serious? Sarah, you know Meg and dad would happily have you stay with them.....unless..." he then had a thought, "...tell me how much rent you need to pay and I'll see to it."

"...no...I-i can't do that...I know Arthur left a lot of money, but I mostly used it on rent...and now...it's gone...I didn't even use most of it, Jackson told me someone in the club stole it and he is trying to find out who."

Buggy frowned, "well when he finds out send the shidiot to me! I'll deal with him. But....if you won't let me help with the rent then I have to help out some way. Actually.....you and the kiddos could come and stay here with us. I think it'll help the kids too, having each other to help get through this," he suggested.

"...Buggy, I couldn't—," he then placed his finger on her lips.

"Yes you could. Any argument you have is invalid. This place is big enough for all of us, if the girls share a room, and the boys, there's a nursery and the guest room for you to have. I can pay for Faith's therapy, and......you can help teach me to cook."

"...well...," she then sighed, "alright." She then hugged him. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it. I'll send the boys over tomorrow with a removal van. Anything you want you can bring here. Or we'll just buy new. Do you think the boys would like bunk beds?"

"I think they would. They are pretty close."

Buggy always knew how to make her feel better. He was so kind to her.

"You think tonight would work? They want us out by tomorrow...," she looked down.

"Sarah, we'll make it work. Don't worry," he grabbed his phone, "I'll just make a quick phone call to Cabaji and Jackson."

He left the room and came back in a few minutes later.

"It's all taken care of. Looks like we're gonna be roomies. Or rather, housemates."

She smiled at him.

Soon the kids came home and Sarah's kids also. Sophie had brought them over since she wanted to see her.

Jr ran to her and hugged her and Sarah hugged him back.

Hope saw Buggy and reached out to him, "Bu Bu!!"

"Hey, Squeaky...," Buggy smiled as he took hold of Hope and lifted her, blowing a raspberry on her belly, ".....have you missed your uncle Bug Bug?"

Hope than squeak and giggled as he gave her a raspberry.

Binky and Lucy ran to him and hugged him and Buggy chuckled.

Sarah then noticed Faith and saw her not looking at anyone as if she was still hurt. Sophie of course was trying to comfort her.

Buggy then carefully pretended to fall to the floor, his arms still holding Hope safely. Binky and Lucy jumped onto him giggling, and then Jr too as he then lowered Hope down so she was laid on his chest.

"....Hey, Faith....d'you think you could help your poor uncle out here...this is like being jumped by mice," he called to her, hoping to distract her for a moment.

Faith wasn't listening. Sarah then walked up to her, but Faith jerked away from her. "Don't touch me...," Faith whispered and frowned looking up at her mother. "It's your fault...your fault that daddy is dead....and aunt Harley...." She ran outside.

"FAITH!?" Sarah panicked.

"I'll get her," Sophie said and quickly ran after her

Buggy looked up at Sarah sadly. He knew how much it must hurt her to hear her own daughter say those words.

"It's not my fault...I tried to....," she then broke down.

Jr went to her as Sarah dropped to her knees and sobbed. Jr then wrapped his arms around his mother.

"Binky, would you take Jr and Lucy upstairs and show them your toys?" Buggy went over to Sarah and sat beside her on the floor, "it wasn't your fault, and she's just lashing out because she's missing her dad."

The kids then walked with Binky to the bedroom. Jr held Hope's hand as they followed.

Sarah gripped on Buggy as she sobbed. "I'm worried she won't be the same...they were so close...just like you and Binky and Hope."

He nodded, "I understand, and you know she probably won't be the same, grief makes kids grow up real quick. Because of the pain and the loss she's feeling. But beneath all of that she's the same little girl and she'll never get over loosing her dad, but it will get easier for her to cope with. She just needs time, and some therapy can't hurt. I'll pay for her to start tomorrow."

"...," she sniffled and nodded, "thank you...for everything, Buggy...."

That night, Sarah had finished making a home made meal which the kids were so hungry for when they smelt it. But Faith refused to eat. Even after saying Grace.

"Faith sweetie....," Buggy said to her carefully, "if you don't eat you'll get sick, and you know your daddy wouldn't want for you to be sick."

...why? He never ate. Especially her cooking."

"Faith?" Sarah was so confused why she was acting like this. "That not true!"

"Yes it is. He never ate. And he thought your cooking was terrible!"

"Right, firstly, your dad had to take medicine to stop him getting ill and that medicine used to make him feel not hungry," Buggy told her in a calm, but firm voice, "but when he did eat he enjoyed your mom's cooking and you're saying he didn't just to be mean. And you're being mean because you're mad. Well, your mom is hurting too Faith, so it's not really fair you being mean to her on top of everything else, is it?"

"She's just hurting because she knows it's her fault."

Sarah than ran out of the room crying.

Buggy stood up and leaned over Faith, "that is not fair, young lady. I know it wasn't your mom's fault because I was there too! I saw what happened and your mom did not cause any of this. Now when she comes back, you're going to apologize to her."

Buggy then stood up and went to Sarah. He took out his hanky and gave it to her.

"Don't blame yourself for this, Sarah. And please try not to take it to heart. She's a very angry little girl who wants to hurt you right now. But this phase won't last forever I promise."

"...I know...," she then hugged him for a bit.

When she came back, Faith stood up and walked out of the house grabbing her coat and boots. He refused to sit down with her mother or be by her now, so she walked out. Everyone called to her, but she didn't answer.
