Wasted Sunsets Hotel

After the mess caused by that robber earlier, Jougan was forced to walk the rest of the way to the town, as of now, he is standing right at the edge of it, the outermost building being a café of sorts, it's building style being significantly different compared to the more old-timey looking buildings near the central areas of Starfall.

Nevertheless, he continued to walk, while at the same time he took out his handheld radio to communicate with the man on the other side as discreetly as possible.

The radio let out a screeching static for a second before the radio was connected to the other one.

 "Yo Jougan, you rang?"
The man on the other side asked him, as Jougan continued to walk.
  "What's up?"

"I got off the boat only to get robbed minutes after, I know that tourist attractions have a lot of robbers and such, but the fact that I got robbed so soon is almost impressive"
Jougan complained just as the man on the other side asked him.

"Sheesh, sounds rough, yeah I'm pretty sure the crime rate there is pretty high, so you should expect that every now and then"
The man on the other side replied.
"Anyways, the fact that you're speaking to me right now at least means the radio didn't get stolen, do you need me to send some stuff over to replace the things you lost from the robbery or something?"

"No, no, I didn't actually lose anything"
Jougan answered, as he looked all around him. The place has gotten significantly more crowded now.
"...in fact, I think I took more from him than he took from me"

The man on the other side chuckled a little bit at Jougan's response, and after he took a few moments to calm himself down, he began to speak again.
"...well, that certainly does sound like something you would do"

"Anyways, let's get down to business"
The man on the other side snorted one last time and continued to talk.
"The hotel's name is the 'Wasted Sunsets Hotel', make sure to note that down, since that place isn't even noted down on the internet, so you can't get any help from GPS or anything like that"

"Yeah... I'm looking for it right now"
"Last time I was here, such a place didn't exist"
Jougan replied back, as he continued to walk, the buildings that surrounded him slowly but surely transitioning from the newer-looking buildings to older-looking ones.

Jougan continued to look around, walking forward as he did so, if he were to walk for a couple more minutes, he would arrive at the town center.

Then, at the corner of his eye, Jougan saw something, a small building squished between two other buildings, it was taller than it was wide, slight cracks can be seen on the wall, and vegetation is growing out of said cracks.

The building seems to be made up of two floors, perhaps with an attic, this coming to mind once Jougan saw the two windows on the first and second floor, yet there was still enough space above the upper window so that the existence of an attic could still be possible.

A small stairway on the far right side of the front led up to a wooden door with two small windows on it, a small fence can be seen on one side of the stairway, black and almost rusted, the door isn't really in exactly good shape either.

But what made this particular building eye-catching to Jougan, really?

Well, it was the small, rectangular and bright neon fixture on top of the door, the words 'Wasted Sunsets Hotel' can be seen on it, shining bright red while it's outer edges shone a bright blue.

  "...seems I found the place"
Jougan notified the man on the other side, pausing in front of the hotel as he stood still, holding his suitcase in his left hand as he just... marveled at how much of an underwhelming sight this was.

"Oh? Do you mind sending a pic?"
The man on the other side asked, Jougan complied and took out his flip-phone, and took a picture of the front of the hotel, continuing to send said picture to a certain e-mail address which just consisted of random letters and numbers.

"...have you sent it yet- oh nevermind, here it is"
The man on the other side said, his words continued by a few moments of silence, the faint sounds of keyboard tapping can be heard during this moment of silence.
"Well, I guess you were right about them not being that successful, that place looks like a dump"
"It's not our place to judge, though, maybe it's just a new building style, why don't you get in for now?"

"Let's just hope it doesn't turn out to be a trap set up by the mafia again"
Jougan replied, as he began to approach the stairway and took a single step upwards, then another step, and then another, now he's in front of the door, his hands reached out for the handle and turned it, the door opened with a 'click' and a creak, the sound of a bell can be heard at the same time.

The interior of the hotel could be chalked up to a single word, 'Rustic', the flooring consists of some sort of dark wood, while the walls were just bare, there wasn't any paint on it, the shape of the room that Jougan is seeing at the moment is rectangular, longer than it is wide, on the opposite side of the entrance doorway that he is standing in right now, a small staircase can be seen which led up to the second floor, while on the wall opposite to the stairs, a jukebox can be seen, it's speakers filling the room with a smooth jazz.

To the right of Jougan is the wall, while on the left, was what seemed to be a bar counter, the inside of the building was quite surprising, the furniture were arranged in such a way that it made the most use out of the smallest spaces possible, it's as if this place's size wasn't even a problem in the first place.

Jougan took a step inside, and the door behind him closed on it's own as he let go of the handle for just a moment, again with a creak and the sound of a bell following it shortly after.

In front of the bar counter were several stools, five... no, six of them, while behind the counter, right up against the wall, is a large, dark wooden shelf with several bottles of different types of alcohol inside of it, two layers of glass covered the shelf with a pair of handles being on the center area, perhaps as a way to keep the bottles from falling, the bottles themselves are put together nice and evenly, almost as if it was just for decoration, and not for drinking at all.

Meanwhile, next to the shelf, on the corner of the building next to the one that Jougan is in right now, a door can be seen, it seems to be made out of the same material that the entrance door was made out of, seems like the same model too, save for the fact that the windows were missing and a green, metallic plate with the words 'Employees Only' painted on it in white paint and hung using a small chain and a nail, the chain assuming an almost triangular shape as it clung onto the nail and being pulled down by gravity, in the middle of this triangle, is a single peeping hole, ones that you would normally find in a hotel.

"Well, this is a hotel, so..."
  "...that fits, I guess?"
Jougan thought to himself, as he continued to approach the bar counter and then sat down on one of the stools, putting his suitcase on the floor next to the stool he is sitting on right now, as he continued to tap the bar counter using his right hand's index finger, perhaps as a way to entertain himself while waiting for the owner of the hotel to come.

Jougan's tapping seems to have a sort of rhythm to it, starting out with a single tap and then immediately followed by another, taking a few seconds pause before he tapped once more, after that waiting some more before he tapped again, this sequence of pause between tapping repeating three more times before he repeated the entirety of the sequence once more, starting again from the single quick tap, and then followed by six long ones.

Then, out of nowhere, just as Jougan tapped on the counter, the door in the corner of the room, the one next to the shelf, clicked and began to open, creating a creaking sound as it was pushed open from the inside.

The door stopped opening around 1/6th of the way through, and a single eye can be seen peeking out from inside the room beyond the door, the face's eye beginning to scan the room before it came across Jougan, at which point it stopped it's scanning, and locked onto his face.

Wasted Sunsets Hotel

A small hotel in Starfall, it's quaint interior and it's owner's unique and efficient placement of the furniture being it's main selling point, surprisingly, it's quite successful, sure the owner doesn't make much income out of it, but it's enough to keep life going, it's profits are considerably boosted when Summer Break rolls around.

It is placed right in the middle of the "Old" and "New" buildings, to the left of the hotel (the direction towards the inner areas of the town, specifically towards the town center), rows and rows of old-timey buildings can be seen, while on the right (the direction towards the outer areas near the edge of the town) the buildings seems to have taken up a newer, modern style, it's almost as if this hotel is the barrier between the two sections of the town.
