Sorrow

Beep...Beep...Beep...

Bayley slowly rocked her head back and forth. She went to brush her hair out of her face when she noticed there was an IV sticking out of her arm. "Ow..." She winced as she sat up.

"Morning." Happy greeted, accidentally scaring his daughter. "You feeling okay?"

"What happened?"

"You passed out shortly after we left. When you took a while to get to the hospital we called Gemma to check in on you and she found you passed out on the floor and Rei beside you."

"Is Rei okay?! Did she get hurt when I dropped her?!"

"Calm down." Happy rested her back on the pillow. "She's fine. Not even a scratch."

"Can I see her? Where is she?"

"She's at Gemma's." Bayley shot out of bed again. When she said she didn't want that women to look after her daughter, she meant it. "Before you freak out, Wendy's with her too."

"Oh great, a junkie is near my kid too. When can I get out of here?"

"Doctor hasn't said."

"Where's everybody else?"

"They're all here in the waiting room. They wanted to make sure you and Becky would be alright."

"How is she?"

"She hasn't woken up yet." He answered, "doctors have her stabalized. They told us not too long ago that she had a miscarriage." Bayley looked down. She felt awful for this girl. Not only did she lose her boyfriend but she lost their baby too.

"Can I be alone for a while?"

Happy nodded, kissing Bayley's forehead before leaving the room. He walked into the waiting area and all the guys stood up. "What happened?" Jax asked.

"She woke up. I told her what happened to Becky and after she told me she needed to be alone."

"Guys," AJ got their attention. "Is there any place else Bayley can stay besides here?"

"No." Clay answered. "She's not leaving Charming."

"And why not?" AJ argued, "The girl had a major anxiety attack and passed out. She's stressed! You guys forget that not everybody can adjust to this life."

"We already said we'd help her through this." Clay growled.

AJ wasn't fazed. "Why are you so scared to have her leave this place, huh?"

Juice held his fiesty girlfriend by the arm, "AJ, not now."

She ripped her arm from his grasp, "If not now then when? She needs to get out of here. You have any idea how much weight you're putting on this girl? She's scared. She's hurt. And the only thing you guys care about is keeping her here in case she ever finds out about y'alls dirty secret and she decides to tell someone."

"You better keep your ol'lady in line." Clay pointed at Juice. "Or I'll do it for you."

AJ stepped up to him, "I'm not scared of you."

"Enough!" Jax separated the two. "AJ, you need to calm down, okay? Now's not the time to talk about that."

"I'd say it's a perfect time." A voice said from behind the club.

"You need to get back to bed." Tara told Bayley.

"Bayley," Jax walked over to her, "you're going to strain yourself. Listen to Tara. And go back to your room."

"No." She crossed her arms, "you guys are going to listen to me for a change. So either we all talk in private or we do things right here." She stomped. Jax looked around and saw how other people were staring.

"You heard her." He said, being the first to follow the girl back to the room.

Opie closed the door when everybody came in. "How much did you hear?"

"It doesn't matter how much I heard. Point is..." She took a deep breath, "I already knew what you guys were talking about."

"Who told you?" Tig asked.

"When I went to visit Jimmy's grave, his dad was there. He told me everything." She paused, taking a moment to see the expressions of the club. "After I shared the darkest moment in my life with you guys... You couldn't tell me the truth... I trusted you and you couldn't find it in yourselves to trust in me too."

"It's not about trust." Bobby spoke up. "We do trust you. But murder... That's a whole different story. It changes the way you think and affects your thought process. We had no idea how it would impact you so we kept quiet."

"I'm not mad about what you did to Jimmy." Bayley stated, softly. "It was almost two years ago and I have to get over it at some point. The only thing I'm upset about is you all not telling me."

Happy hugged his daughter, "I'm sorry."

"We all are, darlin'." Jax apologized.

"I know all of you weren't apart of it cuz there wasn't this many guys when we got attacked... Who was there?"

Clay shot Jax a glare to keep his mouth shut. Like always, the VP made the decision on his own. "Me, Tig, Happy, Chibs, and Juice."

Bayley stared down. "Who put him down?"

Jax stepped forward, "It was me. I shot him once in the head and we left his body there to rot. We didn't know that he had no clue about what his dad was up to. It was a bad call."

"I forgive you." She tried to smile but didn't have it in her to do so. "Is there anything else I should know?"

They stared at each other and shook their heads. "That's it." Opie answered. "Now you know everything."

Juice leaned against the wall with AJ by his side. If it were just him and Bayley in the room, he would confess to what really happened to Half-Sack but he couldn't. Not with everybody here. Juice promised himself that the next time he and Bayley were alone, that he would tell her the truth.
------------
Becky's eyes fluttered open and she finally started moving around. Chibs picked his head up from the mattress. "Rebecca?" He held her hand.

Finn walked up to the bed, "Hey, can you talk?"

"I'm sorry." She croaked, "I didn't mean to give you all a scare."

"Stop apologizing." Chibs ran his hand over here forehead, "You're better now. That's all that matters to us right now." Becky sat up and hugged her dad, "My little lass is safe."

After Becky let go, she looked her dad in the eyes. "What about the baby?"
Finn looked down. That movement spoke the truth. "I think there's something wrong with me."

"You can't blame yourself for this." Chibs said, not understanding what his daughter meant by the comment.

"That's not what she means, Pa." Finn spoke.

"This was my 3rd miscarriage. I'm not able to carry them more than a few weeks."

"Why did you two keep this from me?"

"I was scared. I didn't know how to tell you that I'd never have children."

Chibs held his closed hands up to his mouth, "Did the lad know?" She nodded.

"I told him about the last two times. I was afraid to tell him about the 3rd in case it happened again... Which it did. Besides Finn and Kip, the only one that knew about it was Tara. She was the one who nursed me after it happened. I made her promise to keep it a secret."

"I'm sorry you had to go through this, sweetheart."

"There's nothing you could have done about it, Pa... I'm just going to get my tubes tied so this won't happen again."

"I think that's what's best." Finn agreed with her decision.

There was a knock at the door and in walked Tara. "We'll be able to release you tomorrow. We just need to keep you in overnight to make sure you're okay."

"Thank you, Tara." Chibs smiled at the doctor, "For everything you've done for my family."

She smiled back, "Oh, I almost forgot, Bayley woke up not to long ago. She must have had an announcement because she wanted everybody in her room."

"They'll fill me in later." Tara smiled one last time before closing the door.

Becky yawned, "I'm tired, Pa. I'm going to sleep."

"Just call if you need us." Finn said to his sister. "We'll be right outside your room."

Becky pulled the white sheet up to her chin and closed her eyes. Finn and Chibs exited the room. Out of nowhere Finn gave his son a tight hug. "I love you kids so much. I would die if anything were to happen to you two."

Finn accepted his fathers hug. "We love you too, Pa."
