We Shall Rise
So many lives have been destroyed by the heartless.
The great ones who care so little for those of those unfortunate enough to be born into the role of a mortal. They are nothing but playthings for those gods who call themselves the Olympians. Either playthings or ants.
However, they are not the only ones who suffer. The children of these beings have it worse than the mortals. So few reach adulthood. Even fewer have a happy childhood. It's hard to have that when you are constantly being chased by monsters for no fault of yours.
They are too often sent to the slaughter by their unforgiving parents. If they aren't given an assignment by their parents, they are ignored. Less than a handful have ever met their godly parent. This is not the fault of the "minor" gods. They are strictly forbidden by Olympians and their so called king.
That's not even the end of the demigod's abuse. When a demigod is perceived as too powerful, they are condemned. They ignore the good the child has done and instead study what-ifs.
Even the god's predecessors aren't spared an ounce of mercy. Peaceful titans, even ones who helped the gods, were thrown into prisons and locked away. Many were allowed to be forgotten and fade. Others were tortured for all time.
What kind of king allows those he is supposed to protect to be manipulated and destroyed? When does a true king create unfair laws that he himself breaks time and time again? What king encourages the creation of enemies? Why does a man so ruthless and senseless deserve any level of power?
The answer is simple. A true king doesn't do any of these things.
We have appeared before Chaos and implored for his aid. Begged for a peaceful resolution. Yet none was given. The all mighty creator has become weak and lazy after all these millennia. He is old and heartless towards the pleas of the downtrodden.
No one is safe from these tyrants.
And in the hour of desperation, we shall rise up. They may be mighty, but oh, how the mighty fall.
We will protect those who cannot fend for themselves. We will stand in the way of corruption and destroy those who dare prey on the defenseless. We will dethrone the pretenders who puppeteer the lives of so many innocents into destruction.
We may die in the process, but our honor and righteous deeds will live on in our brothers and sisters in arms.
We are eternal. We are the Celestials, and we know our duty.
