chapter 4 her bravery
She looked around the room. The color scheme black and gray with a little bit of red it was as if sith couldn't stand any other colors. The bathroom mostly black marble as well as the floor through the entire place. The queen sized bed with sheets neatly tucked as if waiting for her.She touched it gray silk. Nice. She thought better then her polyester/cotton tan sheets in her twin sized bed back in her small ship she had high jacked long ago.
The walls metallic with red lines etched in it as if to signify the darkness corsing through the veins of the mechanical being. She knew the ship wasn't alive but it felt as if it could be with Snokes presence.
Then she tried to recall the last time she had a shower. A month ago wookies had oddly welcomed her and she had taken a shower. For a moment she regretted facing Ben being so disgusting. Then in typical Jess fashion she decided she didn't care but she was gonna take a shower in case anything got more personal.
She slipped off her clothes and thought about how bad they were compared to how nice this place was. The bed was dressed better than her. She laughed at that thought and quickly got into the metal and glass shower. The warm water touched her skin and she felt ever so relaxed. She was in her own world that she didn't notice Ben looking for her through the room and then he saw her figure through the glass of the shower pannels.
"Oh gosh I'm sorry."he turned around his face turned red. She laughed "you do know that I'm not shy.haven't been shy ever. You wanna look go for it."she smirks running her hands through her hair."no you deserve respect."he says his voice a low embarrassed grumble never turning around and begining to leave. He couldn't help but read her mind. Gosh dammit Jess you came on too strong. He cracked a smile he didn't realize how much he missed her spunk.
She had always been like that honest, adventurous, and never afraid or embarrassed. God he had loved that about her looking danger in the face being reckless but no fear in her eyes. He can't count the times as kids they had been so close to death or danger ,and him terrified ,but her not the slightest.
Then he thought of all the times he had been afraid. When he thought she was dead. When he had left with luke. When the temple burned. When Snoke made him his apprentice. Every time snoke threatened him. When he killed his father. She would be ashamed for she was never afraid. She looked snoke in the eye told him she wasn't afraid. She slung sarcasm at snoke like he was a regular person.
How she always so brave. He thought. He realized he always wanted her bravery. He remembered when he thought she was dead he hadn't imagined her scared in her last moments. He imagined her brave and fighting for what she wanted, to live. He shed a few tears remembering how he felt when he thought she was dead.
He couldn't be more glad she wasn't. Looking at her seeing her alive and practically the same person but so much stronger. He found himself hopelessly in love with her again. He was scared though scared snoke would hurt her. Then he wondered what's greater in her light or dark when he searched with the force he just couldn't find it. It's as if it was equal within her.
How can dark and light be equal within her. Little did he know somehow she heard that thought of his. What does that mean. She wondered. Then it hit her she knew she wasn't on any side but her own. He wanted her dark like him so she could fight Along side him.
For him she would do so much but can she change her ways of being on her own side. Change her ways of blurring the line between two side of a war, two sides of a way of life. She felt a pang of doubt.
She then got out the shower put on her old clothes left there with a question. Can I change?
