Barnabas Collins (Angst/Smut)

Requested by DamienHaasWifey!

"I will have their blood for what they did." Barnabas vowed. "I will take their lives-"

Y/N's coughing broke him off. "Just do something, Barnabas. You can get your revenge later."

She had been out with the Collins for a bite to eat, and along the way, they'd stopped at a little store. Y/N had bought a purple brooch to pin to her coat, and the cashier has slipped a packet of powder into the bag, saying it would help clean the brooch. Just add water.

And when they'd sat down, the bag had exploded, sending the powder into Y/N's eyes, mouth, and throat. And now she couldn't breathe or see properly.

She'd been hired by Elizabeth as a tutor for the kids, and she'd grown fond of Carolyn and David.

He propped her against an abandoned drugstore, which had been vacant for ages. Then he kicked open the door, before bringing her inside, kicking it shut with his heel.

He seemed to recognize the place, because he immediately brought her towards the back of it, through a door.

She clutched onto him begrudgingly, hating that she was so weak.

Why would the cashier go that far? To actually try and kill her?

Barnabas set her down on the counter, so she leaned back against the mirror behind her. In the room was an examination bed, and a first aid kit.

The room at this point looked drab, grey, and lifeless. Only the flickering of the lights offered her any vision. It was so dark, everything was grey.

She could hear the vampire  fumbling around in the drugstore, but she doubted anything there would work. She needed a doctor.

"Barnabas...." She pleaded, but her voice came out a whisper.

It hurt to breathe. It hurt to speak. And her vision was blurred.

Just what was in that powder?

She turned on the faucet, but only drops of water came out. With a pained groan of frustration, she rested her head against the glass. "Barnabas!"

He appeared within a millisecond, some plastic bottles  clattering from his hands. It looked like he grabbed every pill he could see that would possibly take away the problem.

"Barnabas, I need a doctor. Why don't we just go to the hospital? Why'd you send everyone home?"

He came over, the door swinging shut behind him.

"Because I cannot go into a hospital. I'm a vampire, I don't have an...what do you call it, an I.D?"

She groaned, glancing at her hands. They were so blurry, just flesh colored blobs.

The vampire approached, seeing how the vein in her neck was pulsing, and he could hear her heartbeat, slowly getting faster and faster. He looked away, running his tongue along his canines.

No. I can't. I won't be Angelique.

"Barnabas, what's happening? Why are you just standing there?"

She might not survive.

"Okay, Y/N, I am going to have to turn you." He proposed.

"What the fuck do you mean, turn me? I don't think I should move much right now."

He grit his teeth.

"I mean," he spoke, gathering all the patience he had, "That I am going to have to bite you. And make you a vampire."

Y/N's eyes widened, and she scowled. "Did you not drink this morning, Barnabas? Are you that insatiable?"

"I did, thank you." He snarled, gently putting a hand on her wrist. "I don't know what is in this powder, but you will die if you do not let me-"

"I'd rather die then, than let someone like you bite me." Y/N decided, beads of sweat gathering at her forehead.

Oh, no.

"Stop being stubborn and let me. You will die if this goes on any longer!"

"You're dead!"

He couldn't help it, he chuckled. "You will have a better chance, trust me."

"And look where that got you. You can't even go out in the sun, for crying out loud."

He sighed, his hand tightening on her wrist. "I could have killed you anytime, even right now. But I have not, because I want you to be okay. So just please, let me help you."

"That's very comforting, thanks." Y/N shut her eyes, but he felt his stomach drop. "No, no, keep your eyes open, Y/N. Y/N!"

He gently tapped her cheek with his long fingernail, watching her carefully. He didn't know why, but he felt the need to keep her awake; it didn't feel safe right now if she dozed off.

"Y/N!"

Oh, no, what am I going to tell Elizabeth?

She doesn't deserve to die like this, not like this. At least not how I died. It should be painless and slow, at least.

After what seemed like forever, Y/N slowly opened her eyes. He tried not to show any emotion; her eyes were bloodshot and she was sweating profusely. Her breathing was coming in quick pants and shuddering breaths.

"Y/N, please. Just let me. Let me help you, please."

Why is she so stubborn?

"What is it to you whether I live or die?" She whispered. "I'm just the tutor. I'm human. You have no further use for me in your family."

He swallowed. "I've fallen for you, Y/N. And I cannot let you die. I will not allow it."

She stared at him, her face flushed. Whether from his confession or the powder, it was hard to tell. "You're an idiot, Barnabas."

"What-"

With a grunt of effort, Y/N leaned forward and grabbed his face, kissing him fiercely. He froze for a second before kissing back, parting her lips with his.

His hands that could rip apart his prey, were gripping her shoulders tightly. Under it all, he could feel her heat, her blood, and her life leaving her slowly.

He pulled away, Y/N's breath stirring his eyelashes. "Let me save you."

Her pupils were blown wide with longing, despite how bloodshot they were. She spread her knees apart, letting him stand between her thighs, trying to get closer. "Yes, Barnabas. Go on."

He sank his fangs into her neck, automatically feeling her tense and push him away, but he held her arms down, cradling the back of her head. Her blood was metallic, bursting into his mouth from the incisions.

It was like he was reincarnated. He felt slightly guilty this time, but he was getting a high off of drinking blood.

With every gulp, he could feel her get weaker, her heart slowing, slowing....

It is better like this. Trust me. Just trust me, please.
-------------------------------------------------
Y/N was dead, lying limply on the floor, blood across her neck.

He'd done his best to clean her up using the paper towels and whatever he could find in the drugstore.

She looked slightly better, no longer sweating, no longer breathing.

No longer alive.

Just wake up now.

Since he'd killed her, all there was left to do was wait. Vampires had to die at some point after getting bitten. If not, they would become servants to the vampire that bit them.

He'd never stuck around to see if any of the people he'd killed had become vampires. It was mostly just to hunt and kill.

A fit of coughing caught his attention. He looked up, and Y/N sat up, her skin paler than usual, and her eyes- the irises red, the pupils black. "Barnabas."

Through her lips, he saw a glimpse of her fangs.

He'd done it. She was a vampire.

"Y/N, are you okay? How do you feel?"

She poked at her fangs with her tongue, which made him smile softly. "Like I have more energy, but I don't-"

She put her hand to her chest, swallowing. Oh.

Vampires couldn't breathe. They didn't need to.

"Relax, relax. It will come to you in time, like it did for me." He gently grasped her hands, making her look at him.

"You were in a coffin for years." She scoffed. "You barely lived a day as a vampire when you were turned, remember when you told me?"

He chuckled, shaking his head. "Some things don't change."

"No, they don't. Like how I like you."

Now it was his turn to be surprised. "I thought you hated me. You could never let someone like me bite you, because you'd rather die."

He may have seemed unaffected but that didn't mean her words didn't hurt.

"How was I to know? Do you know what the media portrays vampires like?" Y/N shook her head. "News flash, Barnabas. When all you've seen is one thing, it surpasses anything that might contradict it."

"In that case, all humans are bad?"

"And you were calling me an exception? That's great."

He grabbed her shoulders. "The least you could do is thank me, I saved your life."

"What life? I'm dead, like you."

He scoffed. "Some things really don't change."

"What do you want me to say? That I like you and if the others find out, your image is ruined. No more Collinsport, no more Collinswood, the great Barnabas is just an arrogant-"

"So what if they find out? I do not care. I feel the same way, and you should know that, otherwise, you'd be on the street right now, and who knows what would happen?" Barnabas pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation.

"You're the most stuck up person I've ever worked for." Y/N got up, the older vampire following, until they were standing. "Fuck you."

"If that is what you wish."

Their faces were inches apart, his hands still on her shoulders. She felt stronger, not so delicate like before.

"Barnabas-"

He kissed her hard, felt her grasp the back of his neck and pull him close. Her hands explored his body as he explored her mouth; it felt intimate, sacred- that no one would ever experience something like this.

Not with a vampire.

He broke away, and she ripped his shirt open effortlessly, before staring at her hands in shock. "Oh, wow."

"We're extremely strong people, Y/N." He smirked, shrugging it off before lifting her shirt up.

She helped him with it, before bringing him back to her mouth. At this point, it wasn't really a kiss-just mostly tongues and teeth clashing, but neither could care less.

Her frantic hands, the wildness of her kisses, her strength-all of it made him hard.

His eyes lidded when she kissed over his hard chest, nipping at the pale skin. Please.
Want me. Give this to me. Please.

She hastily undid his pants, opening the zipper, before he took her mouth again, running his hands along her skin. He felt the back of her bra had no clasp, and pulled away, finding it in the front.

They were never more than three inches away from each other through all the fumbling.

Without warning, he  unsnapped the front, Y/N shrugging it off, before they were kissing again. He pressed her against the counter, feeling her nipples, hard like pebbles, brush against his skin. Her pupils were blown wide when he gazed at her.

He ducked his head and kissed her breasts, mouthing the stretch marks on the skin. She let out gasping moans when he worked his mouth, bracing her hands on the counter.

"Barnabas," she whimpered, "What's it like with a vampire?"

He smirked. "You'll find out soon enough."

Barnabas pulled her pants off, before they were all over each other again, touching and kissing roughly, before tugging their pants off, and then their underwear.

He grabbed her shoulders and turned her, pushing her down against the counter. "I'd hold onto something if I were you."

She shivered lightly. He went to his knees, pressing a slow, hot, kiss to her cunt. She put her cheek to the counter, sighing.

"You're such a tease." She scoffed. "You're just gonna leave me like this?"

Abruptly he straightened up, landing a smack to her right cheek. "All these years, and you know what I've learned?"

Y/N was panting from his sudden movement. "What?" She gasped, her knuckles white from gripping the counter.

He got closer to her, lining himself up. "Patience."

And he pushed at her, groaning. She sighed, and shuddered under him.

"You sure this isn't your first time, Barnabas?" Y/N teased, feeling him grasp her hips and stay still for a moment. "Fuck you." He rasped.

"You already- oh!" She cut off into a moan as he set a rough pace, his hips smacking hers, while she clenched her fists.

It was ecstasy, his roughness and his strokes, their strength and passion combined. She'd never really imagined sex with a vampire, but she was surprised at how her body adapted quickly to his, taking him so well, loving his brawn and his lust. Her quiet whimpers and moans contrasted sharply with his grunts and growls, and the glimpses she'd catch in the mirror.

It was unlike any other time she'd had sex when she was human. Because now she wasn't a human, she reminded herself, just barely, because all she could think of was how he was fucking her into the counter right now.

She couldn't figure out how he rolled his hips so smoothly, yet gave her such powerful thrusts. But she wasn't complaining.

Her breaths were coming quicker with her climax, but he didn't stop his pace. However, he leaned over her and brought his fingers down to her clit, rubbing and tapping at it relentlessly. His groans sent shivers down her spine.

With a cry, she gripped the edge of the counter, hearing him groan deeply before pulling out gently.

Barely two seconds passed before she turned around, kissing him roughly, and walking forward until he hit the wall behind him.

All the while he was groping her, touching her where he could. Her skin felt so smooth and soft.

"D'you want to taste?" He muttered in between kisses, and she nodded, before lowering herself down.

He rested his head back when she wrapped her lips around him, using her tongue as well. He tasted slightly sweet, and it was a bit runny. Nothing she hadn't tasted before, though.

"Y/N....could you please just be a vampire for all eternity, and be naked every day, too?" He sighed out, his hand on the back of her head, pushing her closer.

She chuckled around him, before cleaning him up. "What happened to you? Now the great Barnabas is being nice to me, huh?"

He gripped her hair, close to her scalp, and caught her mouth again. Tasted himself on her, but also the slight sweetness that was Y/N.

He could drown in her if she wished, and he would thank her.

Barnabas broke away. "Would you like another use for your mouth, or can you shut up for now?"

The glint in her eyes made him nearly feral. "Do you want me to shut up?"

"Of course not, no." He walked over to the table, seeing the fresh sheet he'd put onto it while she had passed out. He lay down.

"Now ride me, I want to see those breasts bounce."

-------------------------------------------------
It was almost sunset when they finally got cleaned up, got dressed, and headed back to Collinswood.

Y/N glanced at Barnabas, who had a barely seen smile on his face. There were marks on his neck from where she'd gotten carried away, and her scalp felt slightly sore from his tugging.

There was an unspoken thing between them that they were together. It had happened in a very unconventional way, but they were together.

He let her go through the door first, and they headed to the dining table, where the family sat. The kids looked bored, but Elizabeth, Roger, and Dr. Hoffman stared at them with intrigue, and- if Y/N didn't know any better- a look that meant they knew what had happened between her and Barnabas.

"Oh, how was- oh." Elizabeth started, seeing them both.

"You two were gone an awfully long time. And-is Y/N..?"

Elizabeth glanced at Barnabas, who nodded, and Y/N said, "Yes, he turned me. I would've died of he hadn't."

         Barnabas snickered.

They sat down at their usual chairs. Carolyn and David exchanged a look, before looking over at Dr. Hoffman, and back to Barnabas and Y/N.

The poor kids decided to admire the table after their little look-around. Y/N covered her mouth with her hand, hiding her smile.

Dr. Hoffman poured herself another glass of the finest wine the Collins had before taking a swig. It was clear she had figured it out.

"I don't even wanna know." Carolyn decided. "But thank you for saving her, Barnabas."

He averted his eyes, while Y/N picked up a glass of water and sipped it. "Let's get on with dinner, yeah?"
